Poorly designed - eventually will suddenly fail with age at the bolts.

Put together with my wife. Got on an early Black Friday sale with military discount for $89

Really poor quality materials and parts that don't work together as shows in the photos. 1. photo: hen attaching the gas tank 'shelter' to the base, the locations for the wholes of the screws don't match the locations of the mounts mounts 2. photo the screws to connect the two tube pieces are just not fitting. the screws are too small for the whole and therefore don't provide a save and secure connection. Overall just not worth $200 and I would not buy this again. If I hadn't already set it up I would probably return it.

Its way bigger then i thought it would be but works great just putting on the low setting. Its perfect to take the chill out and be able to sit on the deck. I wish it was on wheels so it could be moved around easier but we will make a cart for it

I bought this Hampton Bay patio heater on an impulse buy. This is by far the best impulse buy I've purchased in a long time. For my patio size. it puts out the right amount of heat to keep everyone warm. I only have a small request. The blue plastic wrap should be replace with bubble wrap to protect the shield for shipping. the blue wrap can be dangerous if not handled safely while removing it.

This patio heater was very easy to assemble and had very clear instructions. I was able to assemble it in little under an hour on my own. This thing really pumps out great heat even when more than 5 feet away. Highly recommend!

My husband and I are building a vacation home in northern mi , we needed something for evenings and early morning , due to camping the site every weekend . He put it together last night and we all could t believe how well it worked ! Our son~n~ law had to back his seat away more than 12’ , keep in mind this is an open tree’d breezy area on a hill & it still was kicking the heat out On low/ medium . I am buying few more , 2 for this vaca homes patios and 1 for my homes covered porch . Couldn’t be more impressed. I can’t give it 5* because I have only used it once & my husband does have to readjust the middle ( a bit crooked)

After not using the heater for some time, the flames were yellow and were spewing black smoke, coating the metal screen with carbon soot. Spiders will plug up the gas line. To clean, disconnect the hose from the propane tank and using 2 wrenches disconnect the gas line. See photo. Using a compressor, apply to the end of the gas line. At the same time press the knob as if lighting the pilot light. You should hear a hissing sound if done correctly. This will allow air to circulate through and clean the system. If the pilot goes out, unscrew the 3 brass screws (see photo) and remove the hood and the conical shaped screen. Clean the tip of the thermocouple (next to the needle shaped spark igniter).

Easy to put together , but seating four feet away cannot feel any heat. Even when it's on high.

I set up two in less than 90 minutes, I highly recommend this patio heater!

Overall we've not been happy with this unit so far. The thermostat is acting almost like it's basically backwards on my unit with it increasing on temp as you set it to the Low end of the thermostat knob (counterclockwise). Also, the heat output for the unit is not at all impressive to me (I could get it WONDERFULLY hot the first night then lackluster ever since) and I'm considering accessing the warranty (I even spent the extra $18 for the extended warranty) to ask to have the burner switched out. Between the thermostat issue and/or the burner (or maybe a faulty regulator as we've been through 5 tanks with the same performance) I believe I was sold a faulty unit. Other than that issue, the unit is very well made and easy to assemble.

I purchased this heater a little over year ago and it was great the first 3 times i used it. Now a huge blaze comes out of the heater and you can not control the fire without turning it off. I tried to wrire a review earlier, but Home Depot refused to post it. I hope they have made improvements to this heater since the one i purchased.

The heater worked great the first 3 times, but almost caught my patio on fire the last few times. A hugh flames comes out of the unit and you can not control it with the control knob. I purchased it a little of a year and don’t think i can return it now. I really like the heat that it produces, but don’t want to burn the house down!

Yes so far it's been great. I would like maybe a little larger reflector as sometimes the heat does not get down as far as a normal chair. It seems to work really well and went together pretty easy. It took about 60 minutes to put together.

The holes did not match up,so we had to force the screws in the pole. Look nice. Cant wait to use it.

Love this heater gorgeous to look at and puts out some serious heat!

I purchased 2 patio heaters. The directions are easy to follow, and assembly takes about an hour with more time needed to removed the protective film on the canopy sections than to put the heater together. The heater has a thermocouple so each time the heater is lit requires holding down the control knob for about 10 seconds. The lighter works great. Each heater lit on the first attempt. The amount of heat given off is impressive.

Assembly was easy enough, though if I had only used the included “wrench” it would’ve taken me over two hours. With a socket wrench and a screwdriver, I did it in about 30 minutes. But once I finished I found out that the nozzle to attach it to a standard propane take was not correctly made. The interior part of the nozzle doesn’t reach into the propane tank spigot far enough to open the safety valve. No gas can come out of the tank (which I double checked on my gas grill). The heater is useless. I will be returning tomorrow.

The heat output was terrific.

This heater came in handy for our outdoor party. It kept the uncovered deck warm and cozy. Assembly is easy. Its been outside during rainstorms, but hasn't rusted. Definitely glad I purchased it at the last minute.

I did research online before buying this and the reviews were so helpful, so I am adding one. -- I am very glad I chose this! It is beautiful and so reasonably priced. We got two, so that we could meet outside with friends or family in the fall in New England, social distancing - it comfortably heats the area of people seated within 5 or so feet around the base, maybe more (it's still new for us). It took me about an hour to assemble. I wipe it dry after rain because one review says it can rust. It has no wheels but is easy to move, and can be secured to the ground. It works well and tho I've only had it a week, I am very happy.

Fantastic price on an easy to assemble, attractive and functional patio heater. our neighbors all paid more and love how nice our looks and works. Very happy!

Easy to put together, used only a couple of times so far, but, it’s working great! Had to lower because it really puts out a lot of heat!!!

Just what I wanted and need

My heater has sat out on my patio for only 6 months now and it’s covered in surface rust - even the “stainless” parts are rusting. I don’t think this heater will last more than a year or two max, but I guess at this price you just toss it and buy another.
