We're happy to hear that the lights work great. For the fan pull chain, make sure that the fan pull chain is routed through the pull chain guide at the base of the light kit. The pull chain guide is the round metal piece that aligns with the center hole of the light shade.

Product as advertised. No complaints. Seems to work fine. We had problems previously with LED arrays. One worked only when the humidity was high enough. The other fried immediately after installation. So we chose to buy this model because it uses LED bulbs rather than a fixed array. I like the arrays because the light is more diffuse and even, whereas with bulbs you can sort of see the bulb through the glass and the light distribution is not as even. But at least these don't fry when we power it up or depend on ambient humidity levels! The only other comment would be installation. Our existing fan does not have the quick connects that are commonly used now in light fixtures and smoke alarms. So we had to clip off the plastic connectors from the light fixture and strip the wire in order to install it old-style using a wire twist connector.

It's a light kit...that hardly produces any light
Bought this to add to an existing fan to provide light in a dark room. The amount of light it provides is minimal. It doesnt provide light ...just a little glow. Does not light up the room at all. Basically useless.

We're sorry to hear that you had this issue. The bulbs can be replaced with brighter bulbs if needed. Each socket is rated for up to 60-watts maximum. If your fan has a remote with a dimming feature, please make sure the dimming function is set to its brightest setting. In general, we recommend using ceiling fan light as a supplemental light source used in conjunction with the room lighting such as lamps or recessed cans.

We're sorry to hear that you had this issue. This light kit is designed to fit most light kit compatible ceiling fans. The light kit utilizes the fan's existing switch cap to attach to the fan. There are a few exceptions such as fans that have an integrated light kit design, or fan's that do not have a switch cap.

Thank you for your review. This light kit is designed to be compatible with most light kit adaptable ceiling fans. There are a few exceptions such as fans with integrated light kits or fans that are not light kit adaptable. The light kit requires the fan to have a blank switch cap with a center hole in order to attach the light kit to the fan.

Great kit but expensive because it has all options in one. There should be options available in separate purchases so it doesn’t get pricey and not end up with all the extra parts that are not needed.

The assembly was very good but watch the diagram for installing the pull link through the right hole and allow space between the two for proper pull. The brightness of the bulbs will surprise you.

Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, we're sorry to hear that you had this experience. The light is designed to utilize your fan's existing switch cap to attach to the fan. If your fan does not have a blank switch cap, the light will not be compatible. The light kit is compatible with most ceiling fans with a coupe of exceptions such as fan's with integrated light kits, or fans that are not light kit adaptable. You can see a general idea of how the light kit is installed by watching the installation video located on the product page for model #64401.
