Home Depot sold me a defective product. Bought two cans...
Home Depot sold me a defective product. Bought two cans the same day. One went on fine. The second can was difficult to mix and came out of the can with a texture like cement mix that needed more water. Difficult to spread. Left lumps and small balls of coagulated coating. Clled Henry customer service. They said based on the stamped date code on the lid that it was a current can. Told me to return it to Home Depot. I said the can was mostly empty and they still said I sh9ould take it back to HD. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH BOTH THE PRODUCT, HENRY CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND PURCHASING FROM HOME DEPOT. Be careful!!

Lucy, it is difficult to determine the nature of your issue from your comments. Henry 555 Fibered Aluminum is an easy stir formula that should be smooth, creamy and bright silver when stirred. Once applied it usually takes at least 24 hours to cure. If you have a bucket that did not mix well or did not meet your expectations we would appreciate it if you returned the bucket to the store for replacement and contact us directly at jszymanski@henry.com so that we can determine the problem.

We love your comments about Henry 555 Fibered Aluminum. You are correct that you have to really mix 555. The reason is that 555 has a strong solvent mixed with an aluminum paste made up of asphaltic fiber and aluminum flakes. When you mix the product it will initially turn a gold color and eventually be silver like a shiny quarter. You can also use Henry 869 Rubberized Aluminum which has rubber fibers, is waterproof and lasts 12 years. Thank you for putting your trust in the Henry Co and the Home Depot.

Henry 555 is also rust encapsulating, applies in just one coat and will last 7 years. Henry 555 is a great ally to combat the damage that the sun wants to inflict on your roof because it reflects up to 65 % of UV rays and cools the roof to lessen the thermal shocking from the night's cold to the daytime's heat. 2 buckets covered my 950 square foot roof with no problem and a thick coat. Got lucky with 3 days no rain, so far no more leaks. I live in the Tampa Bay area.

For that we recommend Henry 887 Tropi-Cool (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Henry-887-Tropicool-4-75-Gal-White-100-Silicone-Reflective-Roof-Coating-HE887HS018/205049553), which is rain-safe in 15 minutes! so you wont have to worry about rain. Henry roof coating
This product works great, I've used it on a few of my building. It covers well and last for several years now. This summer I did one half of my biggest barn, it took 16 gallons and looks great.
