Some of the reviews mention an issue with the anchor spinning when you try to screw or unscrew it. Yes that can happen in some thin materials if there isn't enough material for it to grab onto. To avoid that issue you can add a dab of glue behind the head of the plastic piece before you insert it (a hot glue gun would work great). Or if you already installed it, you can screw/unscrew it by holding the plastic anchor with a thin too like a putty knife.

Your dry wall might need 3/8 inch pop toggles
I thought my drywall was thin. But it is not 1/8 inch thin. The toggles won't expand for my dry wall. It worked for me even if they were not expanded. But next time. I would try 3/8 inch one instead.
Overall it worked as documented. And the instructions are clear. I think this product deserves hight rating than it was received.

Why so Critical? They Work Great!
I bought these for my thin camper walls and used them just last night. I don't know why everyone is so critical of these things. Yes, they are cheap but also, yes, they do their job if you follow the instructions. I had one spin on me and used a pair of pliers to grip it while I put the screw in. Don't use a drill for the screws, just hand crank with a screwdriver and you'll have more success. I used them to hold up pictures. I'd suggest the metal ones for anything heavy.

Keep looking...
I thought that I had found the perfect anchor for fastening a shower rod bracket to a fiberglass shower wall. This wall has a 1-1/2 inch air space behind it.
Inserting the anchor went exactly as it was supposed to, but when I started to insert the screw, these brackets (all four of them) would just spin around. Nothing I could do to stop the spinning to get the screw to penetrate more than a quarter inch, and I tried everything.
I even tried to apply substantial pressure with the bracket, but it didn't work.
These may work for rough surfaces, but if you need an anchor for something slippery like fiberglass or sheet metal, keep looking.

Worked perfectly. Easy to use. I mounted a new security light to my garage eave. Of course the previous mount was incorrect and I had to modify until I can redo the electrical in the summer. This held the fixture perfect. Clever idea- I have showed others. Thank you!

Makes hole worse
Drilled the hole large enough to push toggle in, then tried to use the little tool to pop it open only to push toggle through the drywall. A 2nd attempt using a screw to open toggle on made it spin in the hole and make it bigger. Might be best used in a concrete block but didnt work for my drywall.

Complete garbage
Worse than useless. I installed a pair of these in a hollow panel wall in my RV. They don't hold the screws, they just rotate. Of course, I was able to get the screws in, but now they won't back out because the plastic insert just rotates with the screw. I won't even be able to drill the screws out, so I have no idea how I will ever repair this mess. Put as much distance between yourself and this product as you possibly can. Also, the quality control is poor - one of the anchors out of the three I looked at would not even work, due to two of the plastic arms being fused together. That should have been my warning.

Product is defective. HD should remove from stores.
As someone else described, flashing prevents the anchor from folding. Now a trip to a hardware store to find something that works.

Ignore reviews-Follow Directions!
these pop titles are work amazing especially in the RV that has the very thin Luan paneling. I suspect most of these people are not following the directions and that's why they can't get them to work correctly if you follow directions they work AMAZING!

We bought a mobile home. You can't hang stuff on walls the same way you hang stuff on dry wall walls. These are the only things that seem work. I took off a few stars because out of 3 packages of 6, there was always one missing part. Have to buy a bunch of packages to get 6 complete sets. Very inconvenient.

Junk - DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY !
The pop toggle might be a great idea, but the quality of the product should be checked! Half of the pieces in the bag were unusable because the of excess "flash" in the molding process making the pieces useless.
