It's for small projects to blend texture, or popcorn wall, and ceilings.

Texture is the most difficult thing if you are not a professional. Take some time to know the right amount of water that you need for your texture. When you do ceiling the level of difficulty is 5 times higher. This a professional tool for the right person.

Pros: Reusable. Convenient, as it can use any type of compound you have around, no need for a compressor (can use it in quiet areas and times), easy clean up. Is it messy? A bit, but drywall repair is also messy. I think the product is a great value especially considering that I bought it about 10 years ago. I mainly have used it around my house for repairs and touch ups. My walls have medium texture on it and this thing is ideal. I have not used the device on light texture so I cannot provide any insight. As with any job make sure you cover up areas for over-spray etc. I basically mix up a batch of powered Easyset 45 to a consistency of thin pudding and pour it into the hopper. The viscosity is the key, too thin it drips out of the nozzle too thick it doesn't spray. I found its best to start off with a thicker and thin until it comes out the way you want it. I have also used it with premix compound by thinning it out with water. Splatter it on with quick pumps and tap the unit occasionally to move the compound down toward the spray nozzle. I usually go with a lighter texture and knock it down with a plastic putty knife after its had time to dry a bit. I then go back and do additional passes if the texture does not match the surrounding areas. Once dry I run my glove over the area to remove any loose compound. Prime and paint. I have also used this device to go back and touch up areas that I have used a compressor based texture tool. Often I after I have put away the compressor and cleaned up, I find a spot where I need to blend a bit better. That is where this tool comes in handy. I have attached some pictures of a old 8x8 recessed lighting area that I patched up. Converted the light to two 4" LED can lights. The picture may be hard to see as the patch blends VERY well. The patch is located below the skylight. I before texturing, I covered the floor with plastic and taped a 30"x30" of cardboard on the ceiling behind the area to be textured. Hope my review helps.

Shipped fast, good value compared to paying a pro, works good for small patches, only criticism is hopper could be bigger, lacks ability to refill from top of hopper without removing from base unit and hopper shape makes rinsing out difficult. Review forced me to give customer service a rating I didn’t use customer service so I gave it a one star

It worked for a touch up job. Definitely not for regular size work. Perfect for a DIY type project. A little bit over priced. I mean c’mon HD.

Horrible product and difficult to use. Canned texture is much easier.

Vague instructions makes a great deal of expensive waste. The world has measurements. Try to use the amount of water in cups and not 1 1/2 times. Use real measures this is not a cooking show.

This texture tool is a saver en economic

This little gadget worked as expected. Take the advice and do some test trials on cardboard, drop cloth up everything, and wear eye protection (even for walls). I had a large ceiling area to do and got it done (after trying the spray cans which didn't cover enough).

I’ve used these for years. Easy enough clean up and can mix your own texture or use a premix. I have better luck matching knock down with this than any other tool. Orange peel can be a little more difficult but with a little practice this works well for that too

It is adjustable to match thickness of pattern. You will need a drop cloth it is a little messy. Works better and costs less than the canned popcorn spray.

Most of the product leaks out of the bottle. Hardly anything actually comes out when you spray it. Really makes you wonder who makes this and goes “yeah, this will he a good product”

It does the job. Paint sealer is applied before this texture. Had to apply sealer color after to blend it because it was a little tan.

works well for small patching. as a handyman its much better than a hopper. but just as messy.

I have used the aerosol spray texture for years, and was never happy with the results. I was so excited to find this. It's a little tricky to get enough pressure to get the texture all the way on the ceiling, but for the walls, I am very pleased with the results!

Never would’ve bought it if I knew it was that small and doesn’t hardly push out the texture

I own a larger, manual pump texture sprayer. This tiny sprayer surprised me! With minimal effort, compared to my much larger sprayer, the texture patch was covered nicely. I will be holding onto this product.

Really cheaply made! I couldn’t use it without it falling apart! The piston end cap kept coming off when pumping to get mix onto drywall. The selector kept coming undone also. I gave up trying to use it People save your money and pass on this piece of crap! One star is too much!

Absolutely worthless. Followed directions and all it did was come out the end in build up, almost no splatter at all.
