My husband put it together quickly. He said there was nothing complicated. Instructions were easy to follow. I just had to help him lift it not to scratch our floors. Doors slide smoothly and fast. Glass is tempered which is a plus! Purchased in ebony black! I just can't recommend enough! It's not solid wood.... but the price is what you pay for! If you want solid wood and have no budget keep searching.

I looked for quite sometime trying to find something I liked for my entryway and then I found this. My husband put it together in a little over an hour. It is solid and looks amazing.

It is a nice cabinet. I wish it was all solid wood. We received 3 right-hand opening doors instead of 2 of each. It was all put together at the point of installing the doors and we did not want to try and return it. I noticed that if my husband could swap the hardware on the door from top to bottom that it would fix the problem and it did. The furniture company should be more careful when packing. The box was really beat up by the shipping company. I was relieved that the cabinet was not damaged.

The first thing I noticed is this cabinet is sturdy and heavy. The box was heavy and each piece feels solid. There are really only five pieces to build the cabinet so putting it together was easy and fairly fast (less than an hour). The back, shelf, and door pieces are attached in minutes. The cabinet looks nice. It seems to have a real wood finish and the glass door looks high end. Overall, I would highly recommend this piece of furniture and I plan on enjoying mine for years to come.

This is a very nice buffet table. It was easier to assemble than I expected as the doors "snap-in", no screws, hinges, etc. The feet are very sturdy. The back is wood, not cardboard, so it makes it very rigid once it is screwed on. The sable wood finish is very nice and seems to be very durable from our initial cleaning. The doors glide on tracks, so that is nice; they are very easy to install. See the attached photos for the finished product. Do be aware that it is over 100 lbs, but very well packaged for shipment. We really like it and it is a nice addition to our game room.

The Canonbury Sable Brown Wood Buffet Table will be welcome in almost any room in your house that you want to put it in. We debated between putting it in the living room or the dining room and the foyer won. The color is a rich sable brown and looks very rich and elegant as soon as you see it. The four glass doors slide very easily on a well designed track system. Yes, assembly is required but this one is not a difficult job. The holes are precision drilled and everything matched perfectly. Assembly requires a small and a medium Phillips screwdriver and no other tools, provided you don't run into any difficulty. I have done a lot of Some-Assembly-Required over my lifetime and this instruction manual was the most complete and easy to understand I have seen in a very long time. All of the parts were included in the package and marked well. The buffet was packed extremely well. Even though it was shipped a long way, it arrived intact: no dings or dents. A lot of thought went into the packaging, which also helped me a lot to get the different parts organized for assembly. I had a small problem with two of the door-top latches. The vertical spring inside both of them had slid sideways and did not push the latch up. The fix was easy: remove the four screws holding the latch to the door. Turn the latch over and using a small jewelers Phillips screwdriver, while holding the back plate onto the latch, carefully remove the two small screws holding the back plate on. They are very small so be careful not to lose them. Also be careful as the plate will pop off because there is another spring inside that pushes the latch button out. Carefully put the spring into the slot that holds the top of it and slide the bottom of the spring into the latch. Carefully put the plate back on the latch and put in the two small screws. Screw the latch back on to the door. The top of the latch should push down and lock. You then press the button on the back of the latch to make the top go back up. That is how you insert and remove the doors from the tracks built into the buffet. Because I found two latches out of eight with springs that had fallen sideways, that may be an inherent problem. But, as I said, it is an easy fix. A permanent fix would be a small piece of metal sticking up inside the latch so the bottom of the spring has something that holds it. All of the wood pieces went together extremely easy and, as I said, the instruction booklet was great. The built in glides on the doors and the tracks they go into make all four doors slide with ease. We just cannot say enough good things about the quality and appearance of the buffet. It is a fantastic addition to the house regardless of what room it ends up in.

We got it as an interim cabinet for some china, while storing the rest. Cabinet looks good styling-wise, it's cute, but you can get much better quality pieces for same price elsewhere. $500 is outrageous markup. It should be $250-300. The back of the unit is a very weak folded board, the rest is a MDF or particle board. I don't think there's any wood in this. The wrong doors were shipped with the original unit where the handles were all on the same side, although they sent the right ones.

It’s good. I bought this under the impression it was solid wood. Thankfully got it on sale. It looks good, it’s not cheap particle board but sturdier kind. One would never know it is by looking at it but if you are the one putting it together, you know. The assembly was quick and easy though.

Wood was much better quality than I feared. Added widow film to hide my junk-looks like receded glass. Assembly not hard if you have done things before. Ie front edge back edge.

Easy to assemble and beautiful. Works perfectly as a storage unit under the television for our children’s toys. I love how easily the doors glide and it makes it easy for the kids to get their toys and books.

For the price, this is a great product.

For the price, it is a good value. One issue is aesthetic. We wish we could not see the gap between top edge of slider and the slider itself. Very minor, but still a little disappointed with that. This is a nice addition to our dining area.

The Canonbury buffet exceeded my expectations! Very easy to assemble, every piece is well marked, and the instructions are thorough. It took less than 2 hours to assemble. Affordable and nice quality wood, and it looks more expensive than the price. My friends are quite surprised when I tell them that I bought this from The Home Depot!
