I have installed 2 of these fans in silver and 2 in white on my houseboat. Fans are really nice. Ideal if you only have 1 hot wire to the fan. I also discovered that if you have multiple fans in the same room you can set the dip switches to the same codes and control multiple fans with one switch. Not sure if the manufacturer recommends it but it works.

The look is great that is why I got it but the remote control just sucks so bad that if wasn't that I had it up in the ceiling I'd took it down. I am so disappointed by this product that I'd like to get my money back

Difficult to install. Receiver blocks electrical box where fan attaches making it impossible to shove wires in. Ended up shortening the wires and spooled them outside box but covered them with included shrowd.

Simple install, great looks, quiet, moves a lot of air, nice bright (not harsh) light.

It looks great and really moves air. Had it put up by an acquaintance who has a side business installing fans and the whole installation process went on without any glitches whatsoever. I was surprised by the fact that the reverse switch for the fan is only on the housing. We were surprised that the remote was actually a wall switch. For that reason I would recommend that the installer has a knowledge of electricity.

I bought 5 of these fans - 4 in white for indoors and 1 in brushed nickel for the outside patio. I got an electrician to install them, and he managed to do them in under 30 mins per fan! We installed the wall controls, and and they work really well. I can change the speed of the fan, plus I can dim the light or brighten it as much as I want. I have received several compliments about this fan already. It is quiet, and does a good job. The LED light is great, because it is nice and bright when I need it to be. The electrician had to change the wavelength that the fans were on, so that each fan can operate independently. They are all programmed to be on the same wavelength by the manufacturer. He made the process seem really easy. I would highly recommend this fan. It is nice to look at! It exceeded my expectations, and I'm really happy about that.

Good quality materials, easy to assemble and hang, bright LED light, which is adjustable from wall switch. I purchased a 12" down rod for my application.

Bought the fan for appearance and LED lighting. I do not recommend Hanlon on sloped ceiling unless company changes design. Current design has receiver (that receives signal from light switch control) installed in mounting bracket. Unfortunately, they left no room for the receiver on sloped ceilings making install on my 19 degree sloped ceiling an extreme pain that involved re-purposing the blade support plates as shims to lower mounting bracket and get more space for receiver and wiring. Hanger ball rubs on plastic receiver casing and downrod rubs on canopy bottom cover. Solution would be for them to make larger mounting bracket and/or downsize the receiver such that it can be installed on sloped ceilings hassle free. Canopy bottom cover does have some side to side movement as affixed to canopy; however, more movement (or larger diameter canopy bottom cover) would help keep this part from rubbing on downrod.

I installed 3 of these fans at the same time in my house about 1 year ago. They all worked fine until about 2 months ago when I noticed the motor on one of them was not turning as fast as the other two. It is gradually slowing more and more each day and making a humming sound. It certainly is not moving fast enough to move any air at this point. I am very disappointed that I spent that much money for a fan that only lasted one year. I can only hope the other two last longer.

Beware; the LED replacement module is 77 dollars for this fan. Mine lasted just under 3 years.

Very nice looking fan, works well, our electrician installed two of them as part of our home build. We like them a lot. Did not install the remote control system as the wall switches we used have more functions, but I imagine if you want remote control capability they are fine too. We are very happy with our selection.

This fan was relatively easy to install if you have knowledge of electricity it is a bit cumbersome and requires ability to understand picture directions. All in all I like it.

Looks great, works great, easy to install. Very pleased!

Our previous 3y/o ceiling fan had drooping blades due to Florida humidity. We replaced it with this fan with the weather resistant blades. It is attractive and it was not difficult to install for my husband. We hope the ABS blades will hold up well and will eventually replace the other 2 fans in the condo.

Fan works well and pushes lots of air. Control works well. Heavy, so requires 2 people to install. An exterior hook would be helpful to hold the fan while you complete the wiring. The light is not bright enough to read under at night.

The fan blades are not stainless steel but blades are plastics.

Installed in an older house with just 2 wire (white / black, no red. Actually no bare copper ground either). I really like how sleek it looks and the lower profile light box, no pull strings. The light is dimmable and ample (not super bright). So there were really 2 mains things I liked, the design / look and the fact that is has a hardwired remote (no batteries). The downside is the install is a little tedious (3 screws per fan blade, by the way start with the lowest first) and the light could be a little brighter.

This is a nice looking, well-functioning ceiling fan. The light is brighter than my prior ceiling fan. The blades are longer but thinner. We can barely feel it at low, but medium feels good. We like the mounted remote control.

Love the wall control. We bought this fan 2 years ago for our teenage daughters room, and love it, so we bought the same one again for our room.

A beautiful fan, but the description on the Home Depot website was wrong. It claimed to have the hardware to install on a sloped ceiling, but it does NOT. Sadly just wasted a lot of time bringing a technician out to tell me it couldn't be installed where we wanted.
