Q:I need a 3' or 4' downrod for the Fanelee ceiling fan in the bronze/wenge color. Does Hampton Bay not make downrods for their own ceiling fans, and if not, what brand/color would be the closest match to the Fanelee bronze fan?

Set screw
Like other reviews I am now reading on here, the set screw is a very poor quality material and tightened far too tight to remove. Ended up stripping the screw and not getting it out. Ugh! Now I cannot install the fan.

I looked and looked for a smart ceiling fan with light until I discovered this Hampton Bay Fanelee 54 in.. I couldn’t wait to install it. It was easy to install with step by step instructions. It was a 1/3 of the weight of the old one I took down. It looks awesome and works with Alexa or the remote that came with it. You can control the fan and light separately with Alexa or the remote. My wife loves it as do I. The fan has 5 levels and the light has so many options I can’t believe it. The fan is extremely quiet and is the best at cooling you off that I have ever had.I highly recommend this fan.

Love this fan
I just had this fan installed to replace a Valle Paraiso model (also an HD fan). I liked the old fan but it had a hum and I had to settle for the bronze finish bc HD discontinued the chrome finish. This fan is wonderful. It’s beautiful, moves air well, and with the app the light is dimmable. The light at 100% is super bright*. You can change color temp as well with the app. The only flaw I have found is the remote doesn’t control dimming - you can change can speed and color temp though.

I like this fan a lot in the way it looks but a couple things I’m not super impressed with. It hangs a little lower than my previous fan so makes my bedroom look a little smaller. The wiring harness inside does not allow you to use your wall switch to turn the fan and/or light off separately. You have to use the remote or an app on your phone. I’m ok using these options but would also like to just flip a switch on the wall for the fan in its own. Light switch turns the whole thing on. One last thing, the LED lights shine straight down so it doesn’t seem to illuminate the whole room like my older fan. It’s just one big round LED light panel so none aim outwards, only down. You can change the colors to different whites- warm, cool, daytime, etc which is nice and dim it from your phone app only. It’s okay overall. Wish I had done more research before purchasing. Love the colors of fan blades/fixture.

Thank you for the review. We are happy to hear that you like the fan. In general, most remote control fans are not able to be installed with the remote and 2 separate switches for fan control. The fan's light can be dimmed via the remote as well as the app. To dim the light using the remote, press and hold the light button. While holding the button, the light will cycle through its brightness settings from bright to dim to bright again. Release the button once the desired brightness level is reached.

Buy this ceiling fan if you want a WIFI enabled fan.
I bought this fan to replace another WIFI enabled fan by another manufacturer. The installation was simple especially on the other fan. However, when it came to set up the App, it stopped as i tried to tegister the product. The Hampton Bay was easy to install. Its best if you have a magnetic screwdriver as its easy do drop the screws into the motor housing when installing the fan blades. The Hubspace setup was simple as was enabling Alexa. The light has various colors of white, the fan has 4 speeds. Ive tested the App away from home and it turned on the fan and or light. I also tested Alexa. The voice commands were not working very well but that just maybe me. However, Alexa or the Hubspace App makes it easy to control the fan. The brushed nickel also looks great.

Had it for about a year now.
Mine is in a dark panel living room. Hold button down for brightness which we rarely desire it that bright- 13'x22' easily fills the room. We prefer the yellowish softer tone on low.
The color of brightness means soft white to ultra-white color. Very compatible
Durable- my 2yr old is allowed to play with remote- After 8 months hasn't hurt it.
Nothing but great things to say about its look n style, speed of the fan when needed n the light these leds put off

HAMPTON BAY FANELEE 54" CEILING FAN
This is a great looking ceiling fan, love the six different light color options along with the ability to The Hubspace App. Very easy to install but I put too much time into setting up for its installation... 14-3 is not required to run the fan and light with dimming options as well as slow fan speed options. Did all my prep work before purchasing just to find out when opening the box that it uses traditional household wiring utilizing the hot and common and everything else is ran off of a module. So, it appears I have an extra red wire in case the next homeowner wants to wire for a more traditional ceiling fan.
