Pros: Looks good. Nice, sturdy construction. Quiet to walk on. Easy snap together assembly.
Cons: My husband is pretty handy (has worked construction 10+ years) and he struggled with figuring out the cuts to make. (To be fair, our bathroom is NOT a square. One wall is a 30 degree angle.) Also, I think making a bunch of cuts for a smaller room -i.e. bathroom, is harder than installing in a large room where you could lay several pieces without cuts and would be cutting just the last pieces against the wall you end at.
Conclusion: Better product for large rooms than small rooms. Good overall.

Very good material but have to use the right tools...
Very good material but have to use the right tools to cut and lay out, if not y will have uneven edges otherwise very nice finish to room.

This product looks absolutely beautiful when down. It has a great and very natural color pallet with very authentic wood grain. It's very hard to tell it's not real wood. The only real difference is that it's very hard to scratch and should wear much better than actual wood. It clicks into place well, but can be a bit fragile on the edges. Be careful not to hammer near edge or in tongues.

Please note that the manufacturer has rarely seen the problem that you are describing caused by defective manufacturing. They changed their installation design
This is my third Home Decorators flooring. The first two were awesome, totally no tool(other than saw to cut a few pieces) installation. The old design was great just snapped right in. New design requires hammer and wood block and find a short video on You Tube to properly install this.
Not happy with the installation method and also the build material has changed, this almost looks plastic were as the old ones were laminated strips of wood.

Rich, thanks for your comments. Not sure which items you installed previously, but the Silverton Oak water resistant laminate floor installation system has not changed since it has been at Home Depot. Water resistant installation systems are a little different than non-water resistant locking systems since they have to lock out water, so that might be the difference you experienced. Everything someone needs to know about successfully installing Silverton Oak, similar to most water resistant laminates, can be found in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pL03ii55oog
