Fantastic find as a recent "special buy", which influenced my choice of this particular unit. Setup was quick and easy, and this 10,000 BTU unit cools my 450 sf office quickly and well. I bought this during a 100°+ hot spell, and the AC was up to the job! Noise level is probably typical, and compares to a similar Sharp unit we bought a few years ago. Simple functions and a simple remote, which I like. You can also set the AC from the front panel in case you misplace the remote. It serves as a dehumidifier for those who need it (in California, I do not). If used as a dehumidifier, you apparently must occasionally drain the unit via a plug on the back. As with my other AC, since I only use the unit as an AC there is no need to drain anything. The air filter slides out easily for quick cleaning (in water, then dry it off). The air vents on top close down when you aren't using the AC or for storage. The overall size seems slightly smaller than I expected, but I like that (it's a bit more compact that the Sharp 10,000 BTU one I have). The window attachment is easy to set up. It works for either a horizontal up-down type window or alternately with a side opening window. There is an additional window piece you can add on for wider or higher than usual windows. Everything is very nicely made, of good quality. It's worth mentioning that Home Depot's online ordering and shipping is superb...the AC arrived only 2 days after ordering, and shipping was free! Very pleased.

This air conditioner is not powerful at all....and trying to return it to a Home Depot store turned out to be a 45 minute nightmare.

The system worked fine, but really took up much more space in the room than I anticipated. It is difficult to "tuck it away in a corner" when you have almost 2 feet of space required behind the unit away from the wall for the exhaust hose.

Pros Easy to Use, Easy to Install Cons takes up way too much space

Great delivery time on this by HD. Looks great and runs quiet. Simple to set up. The window slider has gaps by design which is minor inconvenience when I move it around to different rooms. On plush carpeting the casters are not high enough to slip a pan under the lower drain. Should be fine on solid surface. Would think designers would have thought of carpeting as a place of use. Biggest complaint is, set at 68, it cools for 45 minutes before the lower drain has to be opened and drained. Then the upper drain should be drained to. It holds 3 1/2 cups of water then the unit shuts off until drained. I emptied it 3 times in less than 3 hours. The self-evaporative feature seems to work when setting is 72 on that day. The day I ran this was between 50-60% humidity in NH. Since I have no drain upstairs, I will get a hose for the upper drain and run into a pail so it can cool during the few hours before I return from work. The hose connector was deformed where it clips to the base unit so I had to position base so that exhaust hose would not come loose. I called for replacement. Honeywell said they would email me requesting proof of purchase then they could send me a replacement; that was 2 days ago. They read my email address back to me. So not too confident in the phone service. I'll likely keep this because it's quiet AC but I would not buy another one or suggest to a friend where humidity gets above 50%.

This unit is used in one room in my home where the central A/C is not effective. It cools quickly and is relatively quiet when operating. I like the timer feature which turns the unit off after a set amount of time. Initially The window vent pieces were all adaptable to suit my needs.

I purchased this unit ( Nov 2017) partly because of the advertised 5 year warranty. When I received it there was nothing in the manual about any warranty. The Box however said 1 year limited warranty. I called the company and they told me the newer models have a 1 year warranty, but because it was advertised on AAFES as a 5 year warranty, they will honor a 5 year warranty, but I had to send them a copy of my receipt and a picture of the serial number...Now I am not sure that this was a good buy, the only reason to change a warranty from 5 years to one year is because of issues and too many warranty claims... I hope that it provides the services it was intended to provide. I did call AAFES about this issue on 29 Nov, and was told they will contact Honeywell and verify the length of the warranty. I would not recommend this unit under a one year warranty.

I already have two of these Honeywell 10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioners in my home. I like the easy set up, the portability and how cool it keeps the rooms. I have one placed in my dining room which I have had for two years and one that I purchased one year ago in my bedroom on the second floor which is always warmer than the first floor. I have not had any issues with either of the units. I am extremely happy with this product and have just ordered a third unit for the guest room on the second floor. I have recommended this product to other people.

The Air Conditioner works very well. My major concern is that I wish the exhaust hose was longer, or I could get an extention to the hose. I had to put the unit on a platform because the hose does not reach the window. In addition the unit is a little loud. Other than that I am very satisfied with the performance of the air conditioner.

Now I can sleep during this extended heatwave. I want to thank the PRO reviewer that suggested foam insulation tape, cause u need it. I did need to cut about 1/4 inch of the pvc mounting end (But that was simple with my hack saw) that goes into the window for the exhaust. My window is narrow at about 20" wide. I have vinyl double pane windows. I installed the unit in my bedroom. Starts to cool instantly.
