I recommend this molding.

It looks great, but MDF is brittle AMD breaks easily at corners. Got it delivered for free to my house. Thre package was open for some reason. Not sure where it happened Overall, good.

This product is beautiful and the picture doesn't do it justice. After it was caulked and painted, it's makes the room look top notch! For the price, I feel it's worth it.

Other than minor imperfections this is a good looking product, a little time and patience and it went up just fine.

If you plan on ordering this to be delivered to your home or to your local store, order WAY more than you need because a lot of it will not be usable. You should always order more material than you think you need, but with this stuff you'll need almost double. I ordered this molding and had it delivered to my local store. When I picked it up, it was neatly, and securely packaged in a sturdy cardboard box. I took it home but didn't open it immediately (I had other projects I was working on). About two weeks later when I was ready to start laying this out, I opened the box and couldn't believe what I saw. Every single piece was damaged in a significant way. I'll admit, I was expecting a few dings here and there and was anticipating filling/sanding them. But this is ridiculous. If you saw how they were packaged and the type of damage they had it would be very obvious that these pieces were damaged before they were even packaged. Someone picked these out and packaged them with full-knowledge that every piece was damaged. Out of all the pieces I ordered (which are 96 inches long), the longest run of undamaged/usable molding I have is about 60 inches. This means I need to order more molding or use more scarf joints than is ideal. By the time all my molding is installed I will purchased 50% more than I needed. In terms of quality: This stuff looks and feels great. It's too bad it isn't handled with better care before being shipped to a customer.

I purchased this MDF crown molding to make a cornice. When I searched for "crown molding" the oak version did not come up on my computer and my local HD did not carry either of the products (MDF or Oak in the 4 1/2" height) so I had to order it on-line. This product is OK as long as you use glue and use a very small nail to attach it. I made the mistake of using a power nailer and it made a dent in the MDF that required more filler than if I had drilled the hole and used a finishing nail. My project came out fine and more affordable than the oak would have, but caused frustration and more work. I gave a 3-star rating because I had to order a second piece due to the amount of molding needed because of the mitre cuts and the second piece was probably from a different lot and did not match up perfectly. The 3-star rating also reflected the internet not providing all product available.

This is my first time installing crown molding. I replaced my entire houses baseboards with the same type of MDF material and it turned out to be quite easy. The trickiest part about crown molding is the cuts. I started in a room with 45 and 90 degree inside and outside corners and it proved to be frustrating at first, but once I bought a Molding Jig it made things much easier. I would suggest starting with a small room like a powder room or office and work your way to bigger rooms as you get better at the cuts. Looks great once installed!

Used for the set of A Little Murder Never Hurt Anybody at Playcrafters in Skippack Pa. From multiple comments of the audience this was one of the playhouses best looking sets. The crown molding really made the difference.

Good price, seems well build, classic looking,east installation but much heavier than MDF products, arrived 3/10 damaged otherwise it would been five stars.

We used this for our basement and kitchen shelves/cabinets. If you are painting your cabs a solid color this works perfectly. Easy to cut, easy to install, easy to paint. Literally took a couple hours to finish everything. Since it's mdf, it's pliable and lightweight. You'd never know it wasn't real wood because it's up at the ceiling. You can save a lot of money by getting this instead of paying more for the same look...and who cares if it's "durable" nobody touches crown molding so it doesn't need to be that sturdy. Save your money and buy this mdf moulding. Got a dramatic look for a few dollars--what a steal!

I loved this crown molding. It looks great on our tall ceilings. The only downside is the some of the pieces were defective, they had a few bumps on the finish.

I really liked the design of the moulding. It was nice to be able to order it and have it delivered. Some of the pieces had some slight wear on the corners, but absolutely useable. There was one piece that was damaged enough that I took it in to Home Depot to exchange. After looking through what they had at the store, I felt like overall the pieces I had received were in better shape than the ones at the store.

Have used this product before. Quality is excellent. Easy to install. Arrives in 8 ft. sections and in a timely manner. No complaints.

The crown moulding was a great choice for our application. We used this to trim the sides of ceiling beams, and painted the ceiling white. The final effect looks fantastic. The only problem was a ripple in the surface of a couple of pieces over a span of about 3 inches. It's not terribly noticable becasue those pieces were used in the high spot of a vault, but something you may want to check for when selecting your pieces. For painted applications, the MDF composite is a great alternative to natural wood to maintain a stable finished look.

I used this product for 3 installations for about 500 linear ft total for box beams and coffers. The 1st 2 in 2012 and the other in 2018. Given the needed quanity I was looking for a quality value proposition and this moulding fit the bill nicely - at that time. I'm starting another project and need another 75 ft. I'm shocked to see this crown has gone up 125% since 2018. Sadly, no longer a value proposition.

back of molding appears to be cardboard backing, didnt know this would be the case.
