Installed in a 1950's home in Southern, CA. Cleaned out the old blown in which was proving to be ineffective. The drywall ceiling is no longer radiating heat like it used to. Great investment!

I insulated an older Southern California Beach area home that...
I insulated an older Southern California Beach area home that had no insulation when originally built. The vapor barrier was a must so I choose this over the blow in option. It was super easy to lay and easy to trim with scissor style hedge trimers. look for local energy rebates available if you insulate too!

The sound proofing/noise deadening effect, that this insulation offers, is a huge benefit. I installed it in my basement garage ceiling and now I no longer hear the garage door go up and down. The insulation made the floors much warmer and reduced drafts dramatically. .

Easy to cut and install by single person with simple tools such as tape measure,razor blade and a heavy duty stappler or construction type of stappler. That is all it needs to get your projects started and finished in fair amount of time by a single person. But helps are always the best to have.
