The new shower head has a water flow restriction device inside which makes it noisy and slows down the flow of water so the shower isn't as robust as provided by my former shower head.

This rain shower head is wonderful. Water flows out perfectly for our needs. Would buy again!

I bought this as a backup in case the 8" round overhead one should leak. Thus, I have not used it and cannot comment on the spray. The look is good though.
