Noisy after just a short time.
I bought this fill valve to replace one that had gotten very noisy. The new won worked fine for about a month, and now it's just as noisy as the old one.

Hello Jim G., this is Lisa with Kohler Co. I am sorry to hear of any inconvenience this may have caused. The noise that you are hearing is caused by debris getting stuck inside of the fill valve. Good original replacement valve. Had to reuse my existing fill hose as the new one was too short to reach the overflow tube.

KOHLER Silent Fill Toilet Valve Kit: Buy the right part and it will fit perfectly and is not difficult to install. My kit lacked a new (bowl) fill tube; instructions advise to re-use the old tube. Really? The new valve makes the same amount of noise as the old valve - it's not really silent. Four stars (vs. five) because the kit lacked a new fill tube and is not really silent.

Product says Koehler. Flotation device says Fluidmaster. Seems to work ok, but I replaced a Fluidmaster that was annoyingly defective.

It fits perfectly. More expensive than the knock offs but I have found genuine Kohler lasts a lot longer.

I bought an off-brand model and replaced it with an original. The other one would re-fill the tank by its own schedule. It would wait usually 30 seconds to a few minutes. This is as soon as the tank drops.. and quieter.
