This is a pretty door until you are ready to paint. You cannot easily remove the screen to paint the back of the wood. I would have had to remove the rubber string that holds the screen in then try to put it back together after painting. It's going back to the store.

Excellent door and adjustable to my home.

This is overall a well build sturdy door. I knocked it down 1 star because the door was damaged during manufacting and repaired so it didn’t come perfect. I didn’t notice until I jad already taken it apart. It is possible to take the screen out to paint it. Use a putty knife to pry the wood that holds the screen on and then use plyers to pull the screen out. I pulled out the nails thry used and replaced them with #4 3/4 in screws so I can remove the screen again if need be. Overall came together nice.

This was terrible - I could not believe that they would sell you something that was not finished - there was no wood covering one side of the screen in the lower "cross" area - I had to make my own using separate 1/4-inch stock (see photo attached). I did not realize the issue until I started staining it and realized I could not stain that area because it was behind the screen; otherwise I would have returned it.

Maybe I had higher expectations or maybe not but look elsewhere folks. The screen broke with one simple push, very lose, and just a reminder there is no hardware or holes for hardware. So you’re paying $200 just for the door. Not worth it.

Not well made. Hard to paint because screen not removable. I would not buy again.

Unfortunately the door is poorly made

This is the second one I bought and they have both been off. The first was bowed on the long sides and this one is cut at an angle on the top and bottom

I know it's an expensive screen door but I didn't expect the quality of construction to be as poor as it is.

Wasn’t clamped well when assembled joints open lacking correct amount of glue. Had to disassemble door and glue it better before I installed it. While at it added a few screen molding brads because one staple falling out would began the molding to fail.

The joinery is not tight: gaps of up to 3/16" where it should be tight. Also the screen is poorly installed.I would have sent it back in most cases but it was just barely adequate for the job. I would not buy from these folks again. There was no "pride of workmanship" in this door.

Shoddy craftsmanship, screen pin nailed with corner rounds, lots of work to replace screen. Just a poorly made door none of the joints are tight fitting. Should have made the whole door myself. And for the price no hardware included. First timer making a review hopefully last time. I give it an F.....

Some of the wood on the crossbars was terrible.

The frame construction was inaccurate and some poor wood grain selections were reflective of quick buck "made in Ch--- construction" with inadequate supervision by USA vendor/supplier. would not buy again but due to lack of size options, we'll keep this one now.

The quality was quite above what I expected.

Lots of imperfections and under engineered. The spline does not sit in a pressure channel. It's just a channel cut in the wood. They depend on glue and a trim strip to hold the screen in place. The screen itself is easily punctured I found out. The glue does not hold and the wood strips come loose. Particularly in corners. The wood is not a good one for stain in my opinion. Wood had defects. Random bits of glue here and there on the wood. The glue/adhesive does not take on stain color. Fit and finish is not what I'd expect from a modern door shop. Sending it back.

The screen is lose and was not trimmed properly. I had to clean it up so I could paint it. Did not have time to return it or would have.

Terrible. What a nightmare this screen is!! The screen itself is metal and if you just barely touch it it bends, ripples or tears. No way to replace screen with removing all the trim which is bradnailed in place. Poorly constructed

Actually it failed to meet my low expectations. Would have returned the screen door it if if were easier, Shoddy work and upon unwrapping the door the wooden cross was already detached and there were cob webs throughout the screen.

Came out nice. Still getting praised for installing it.

Very pleased with my new screen door. It was easy to trim to fit the space and finished up nicely. The factory sanding had left some rough spots, however I was able to sand them smooth. I retro-fitted the back door of my house and installed the screen door with no problems!

Perfect fit for my need. The only downside is “Made in China” I would pay more for “Made in USA"

The door was assembled poorly and came with putty in the joints to make up for the fact that the joints weren’t finished properly. I’ll be returning all the doors or seeking a credit.
