(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is a replacement machine. Much quieter and makes ice faster. Good shape cubes for drinks. Old Kenmore worked for 12 years, but was noisy. This is much quieter.

I made the mistake of not noticing it had a drain. I don't have a drain where I am installing it so can't use itS. Can I return it?

Works okay. If you want ice you'll need to keep it on "max ice" all the time which doesn't seem right but very little ice if not. It runs WAY to hot under counter. Door handle is bulky which means you need to make sure you have counter space. Runs way to much.

The unit was delivered and once I installed it realized that it was missing the "accessary packet" that supposedly included the required filter that is in the appliance. Won't receive for 10 days after calling HD and warranty and and and hour later - very disappointed!!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I have had this ice maker for just over a year and it has gone out twice. Both times the water continues to run but it will not make ice. I have had the repair people out of fix it the first time and now (after just over a year and a repeat of the same issue) they want to charge me to fix it the second time. It is also very load compared to other icemakers I have had.

The ice quality is great. Little on the noisy side, but most ice makers are. I would highly recommend

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is our second KitchenAid ice maker--and it is a real step up from the earlier one! Many new features like the built-in water filter. And this one looks as if it will be much easier to clean than the older one. It's also VERY quiet and keeps the ice bin full with no problem.

Now, a message is on the machine saying that it needs to be cleaned. I haven't had it 6 months yet. I had a Scotsman Ice Machine prior to this one. Wish I had stayed with them.

This is my third one in 18 years (moved & had to leave one behind) This model never skips a beat and is quiet and does not generate as much heat as others.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Our first KitchenAid ice maker lasted 11 years before requiring repair for a refrigerant leak and lasted another year after the repair. We installed the new ice maker yesterday around 5PM and had nearly a full bin of ice this morning. Our biggest disappointment (actually, my wife was mad as a hornet) is that there was no filter included with the ice maker. With the premium price for buying KitchenAid products, I expected a filter to be included. The instructions discuss the filter but do not mention that it is not included with the ice maker. I expected more than this from a premium brand.

The first one didn't work so refused to accept if it needed repair fresh from the factory. The replacement worked but not as well as it should have. A technician checked it and found a part had to be ordered and replaced. Since part installed, unit seems to be working ok but seems noisier than our old one and interior seems smaller. This one has water filter which the old one did not. Ice is good: nice and clear.

Easy to install. It is already making ice.

Packaging was great. Easy to install with very few tools. Thirty minutes later I turned the machine on.

This has exceeded my expectations. I didn't realize my Kenmore was malfunctioning as much as it was until I got the KitchenAid

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) So far I am quite pleased with this ice maker (our second one). BUT, I chose this model because of the integrated water filter. Much to my surprise, I cleaned the machine for the first time yesterday and went to replace the water filter to discover there was no filter installed. My installer never said anything and I just assumed one came with the unit - as it does with a new refrigerator . Quite disappointed that I have been using the unit for 9 months with no filter installed. My fault??????? An installation problem? Would love to hear from kitchen aid .

I like the machine, but I would like it more if it had a larger bin.. It seems to make ice fast and we really like the size of the cubes.. I do not understand whay they would not make a bigger bin.. But over all, good so far..

Had all new appliances installed with my renovation, and my supplier did recommend buying a warranty on the ice maker. Only because they tend to go out quicker than other appliances. Love the new handles Kitchenaid has come out with!
