the only negative thing is I wish we were told at time of ordering from hd that it required a water filter. we had to wait a week to get unit, then another week to get the water filter. you cannot install without this filter. it works great, it's outdoor in our outdoor bar

we purchased this as a replacement for an icemaker in our small office. It is great-produces plenty of ice and we LOVE the lighted bin feature. Quiet operation and it works great--good choice!!

Love the ice maker and the "country club" ice.

This is a replacement for an old Kitchenaid ice maker. Nice new features, filtration etc... it makes wonderful small "cubes". I love it. This ice makes all beverages better.

We purchased our home with a kitchen aid ice maker. After 10 years of extensive use, it needed to be replaced and we went a few months without it and really missed having the fresh ice at all times. Great purchase!!

Had to have the unit replaced as ir did not work. Replacement took 3 months.

This machine makes great ice, that's not a problem. The manual referred to installing the "enclosed" water filter. It was not included in the packaging. I got conflicting reports from manufacturer about the need to have a filter. One week later a filter was mailed to me and we hooked up the machine. This machine puts off more heat than the previous model we had of the same machine. Overall, I'd say Average.

This is my 2nd ice machine. Love it.

Very, very disappointed that the 18" icemaker is not available panel ready. We had a beautiful panel on our icemachine that I wanted to re-use but could not and the stainless is really ugly in comparison. The handle is way too big and protrudes too far out - looks like a paper towel holder in the middle of the kitchen. I will say, however, that it makes great ice and that was the reason we did not change brands.

I AM REPLACING MY ICEMAKER THAT WE BOUGHT IN 2006 .IT WAS A KITCHENAID .THE NEW ONE IS THE SAME AS THE OLD ONE IN LOOKS BUT MORE FEATURES LIKE DOOR ALARM AND BUILT IN WATER FILTER.I NOT ONLY RECOMMEND KITCHENAID BUT REPURCHASED ANOTHER ONE.

Works for just the two of us & for company and parties

bought the ice maker in may 2015: 6 months had to be repaired, 11 mounts had to be repaired, 16 mounts had to be repaired, the unit is not working now. any more questions. will never own another kitchen aid....

The tiny ice cubes are delicious. They make every drink special. I love the scoop holder and scoop...so handy! We never run out of ice now. Every kitchen should have one. It runs quite and there is always an ample supply.

Bought this to replace previous Ice Maker.

We have had free-standing icemakers for 33 years and wouldn't be without one. We have had other makes, but I love this one the most. My only wish is that any of them could possibly be made easier to clean. We do a lot of entertaining with groups of 25 or more and we have found the icemaker an invaluable asset.

So far I love this ice machine! The ice is clear and the output is exceptional!

This is my second KitchenAid ice maker. Top quality and makes great ice!

This is the third ice maker that we have had in the past 40 years. This one is a KitchenAid model very similar to our last one that lasted over 10 years. Unit is easy to operate and clean. Wed are very pleased with the unit and would highly recommend it to anyone, even our closest friends.

Really enjoying our new ice maker. My wife likes to eat ice and this ice is soft but last in a drink. We had one that was 14years old. Finally got costing too much to keep it going. I'm happy with my investment. I really like the 3 year warranty.

This ice maker was purchased to replace a similar one that was over 10 years old. I loved the original one, and love this one even more! The built in filter is great and I love the Max Ice function for larger get togethers. We've had it for about a month, and couldn't be happier.
