I wish there were negative stars. I bought this fridge in late 2020 and hasnt worked for the vast majority of the time I have had it. The freezer works great, but the fridge doesnt. Also, ice dispenser broke within first few months of ownership. Kitchenaid hires an independent party to come out to fix it, but thats worthless and I had to wait months for parts… then, affer replacing a significant portion of the unit, it broke hours after the tech left and I’m still waitinf on the unit to be fixed weeks later because Kitchenaid won’t replace the unit. Buy a subzero or a unit with two compressors - I’m never buying another kitchenaid product again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently remodeled my entire kitchen and decided to put in a 48in fridge. I had to design a different location due to the size. End result is it looks great! I like the fridge size, the LED lighting inside, the shelves, and the overall look. On the negatives would be the anti-fingerprint stainless is slightly different than the SS finish on the combo oven, the black plastic floor vent looks a little funny (a faux stainless color would be better), and finally the ice maker water fill is rather loud. Other than these negatives, pretty happy with purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced a 15 year old SubZero with this unit (in conjunction with replacing all of the appliances in the kitchen as part of a remodel). Half the price of a new SubZero, quite a value. I don't feel that I gave up anything in terms of looks or quality and a KitchenAid appliance has excellent parts availability and support. Great combination of value, quality and looks!

Replaced our 20 year old Kitchenaid built in fridge that quit cooling.I love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We remodeled our kitchen and contractor worked around this refrigerator. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the water line. When the installer hooked it up, he was only able to hook up the ice dispenser because the water line had a leak. We’ll need to schedule a repair man to fix it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this in print shield, but be aware that it doesn't completely match the other stainless steel products. This is a very sleek looking fridge. I love the layout inside and the LED lights. The door shelves are see through, which is a big improvement. A lot of people have said they don't like the ice machine as it takes up too much room. I prefer this design. It's easier to take the ice unit out and it's easier to see what's in the freezer with the layout. I also love the door handles!!! No hand or finger prints. I had my other KitchenAid refrigerator that was this model/style for 22 years. I've had this one for about a month. Lots of improvements.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I moved into our new home Nov 2017 and could not be happier with this specific fridge model. Its sleek, fits perfect within our space that we had specially made for this fridge and is just gorgeous. The doors are heavier that a standard fridge but the open VERY smoothly. The drawers in the fridge and freezer open and close very smoothly. All areas light up very nice. Its easy to find everything and I like that I can look under the glass shelf to find something that is in the back of the fridge shelf (I just poke my head into the fridge and peek under the shelf above. The front of the fridge cleans up very nice with just a damp cloth. The matte finish handles are amazing because they hide just the simplest handprint/fingerprints. I do wish that the exterior water/ice dispenser was just a little bigger so that I can fit a larger sport bottle and/or yeti cup under the dispenser. I find that I have to tip it to fill the water and ice and sometimes spill. Keep in mind with countertop depth appliances you loose depth especially on the inside but you gain some width with the inside storage. This fridge is VERY quiet! Hardly every her it run and even the ice dispenser is pleasant when it dispenses in the internal ice bucket. The price for this item is an investment. We went with higher end appliances to hope they last for many years since our previous experience is that appliances aren't made like they used to. So at this time. We are very happy with our "investment".

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I had this installed in our new house 2 months ago and love it. It is sharp and sleek looking and we've had no issues. The water dispenser is very helpful when it reads how many ounces are going into your cup. I also love that one person can use the ice and water feature while the fridge side can still be opened. This was not a feature of our last 2 refrigerators. The freezer space isn't substantial as the water and ice machine do take up room but the fridge side is ample. Another thing I love is that the stainless steel hardly leaves any fingerprints! Handy when you have 4 little kids.

Keeps food crash and cold, perfect size and love having ice and water in our new kitchenaid refrigerator! Won’t be disappointed if you purchase this one! Well worth the wait and price.

Only had it for 2 weeks but the room inside is unbelievable. Shelves are easy to adjust. Finish on the outside is very nice and easy to clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator was purchased to replace a 22 year old Thermador that actually had cabinet panels on the front....I was worried that I might not like the new one as much. BUT I love it!!! It is a sleek beauty! It makes my kitchen look so modern and a bit industrial. It is extremely quiet. Love that it has an electronic type eye that lets the ice maker know that the bin is full so I don't have to do that myself. The LED lights eliminate so well...the food keeps wonderfully. Just live everything about this product!!

Yes, we paid more for this than our daughter's car...but this was a splurge for me. I love the sleek look, storage, and options. The best part? The PrintShield finish.

The refrigerator itself works great. However, the plastic hinges on the dairy see-through door bin are very fragile and broke after 18 months of light use. Unlike the 42 inch model, the dairy bin on the 48 inch model is comprised of 5 separately ordered parts. Due to the curvature of the door bin and the hinge design, it appears impossible to reassemble all the parts without breaking off the fragile hinges on the new bin. I called Kitchenaid for assistance and they were no help.

This very large and spacious refrigerator looks very nice but unfortunately, it is plagued with issues. The Ice machine broke within the first year and was fixed by having to remove and replace the entire door due to its poor design. The shelving for the freezer is always coming apart and the latest issue after not quite two years is all the lighting has gone out in both the freezer and the refrigerator. For the money, this is not worth it and I would go with a different brand.

It makes a very loud noise. Since the ice bin is large and we don’t use a lot of ice, I turn off the ice maker until it gets low. Would be nice if I didn’t have to

We bought this refrigerator 6 years ago. Last year we started having a lot of problems with the ice maker, which flooded our kitchen and ruined our wood floors (good luck getting anyone here to fix those). We have had the entire ice maker replaced twice. The problem IS NOT the ice maker. No one seems to know what the problem is. Also, the inside cubbies are crap. The butter holder hinge broke after a year. We now have to spend another ridiculous amount of money to buy a new refrigerator.
