Precision angle finder
I bought this to find exact angles for grade on a stone walkway. I wanted the pitch of my walkway to be consistent throughout and a simple level can’t provide that easily. My iPhone app provides a digital angle but does not provide decimal measurements for precise angles. This is also more durable and prevents your phone from getting dirty and possibly breaking while finding the angle. I didn’t like that the Screen scratches easily. Carrying pouch could use a loop or something for a belt

Out of Box perfectly calibrated, no questions.
Very good pocket tool. I will only use with Miter Saw or Table Saw. It was calibrated out of box perfectly. I double checked this with my 48 IN. BOX BEAM LEVEL and 8ft long shelf. Well done Klein 935DAG.

Nice size for the miter saws
Bought this to dial in my old Delta Miter saw. Resetting zero on this baby is easy and the display is plenty big to read. The display stays on long enough where you don’t have to restart the unit. Comes with batteries 2aaa, instructions and soft case.

          Missing one key feature
Bought this with the expectation that it was designed for electricians bending conduit. Klein missed one key feature to make this a home run item. The unit errors out when you put it on its back. You may ask why this is important? If you are trying to match pipe that's already installed in ceilings, the display needs to face down to the floor to get this angle. The one angle guage I found that did this was an old model from King. This should have been thought of before the release of the product. Unfortunate...

Thank you for your review. We will take this info into consideration for future improvements. I would encourage you to take a look at the 935DAGL as it has dual-axis capabilities and shouldn't have this issue. If you have any other issues or questions, please contact our customer service at customerservice@kleintools.com or 800-553-4676
Accurate to .1 of a degree!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing product for bending pipe, this level makes offset, kicks, saddles effortless. It’s fairly small which makes it hand for small sections of pipe that a torpedo level single can not do unless it is a anti-dog level screw on level. The functions are easy and simple to get once you start using it you will become a huge fan. This level is accurate to .1 of a degree and when matching or replacing a pipe for a large pipe or simply adding another pipe to match existing work. This is done through using the zero function simply put the level on any existing pipe zero level and now that angle can be easily replicated by getting the pipe to that same angle when level reads zero. This level comes with a bright led display that does not seem to have any lag time so you can bend with it in place to get the bend fast and accurately.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just got this and after I calibrated it, it works great. I am using this mainly to square my saws and cut precise angles. But it is cool to use it as a little level as well.

After a lot of trial, error, and wasted material, I finally decided to give up on "pretty close" and plunk down $30 for the Klein digital angle gauge. Best investment all year (besides the Pfizer stock). Unbelievably fast and accurate. My saw's deck isn't perfectly level, but the unit instantly zeroes out by hitting the power button a second time. The readout is illuminated, which is awesome. The bottom has a strong magnet which is perfect for blade angles, and for stowing in its cloth case under my table saw. I'm now able to cut extremely precise angles, which was just impossible until I bought this amazing tool.

A good way to check your level and find angles. I used it to verify and calibrate my table saw which it was actually close to 90 before this device. This came with a carrying case and batteries. The small things make it a 5 star review. The instructions were easy to read and the best part was it was all in one page. The display is easy to read and definitely better than the green backlit LCD displays. The magnetic base works well and are strong. The display Auto rotates too! As you can see with the pictures I posted. That was attention to detail that made me gave this a 5 star review.

Klein Tools Digital Angle Gauge and Level – These little tools are great for just about anyone. I now have a three of them, all of different brands and all work equally well. I especially use them to check or setup stationary tools to be accurate. Using one of these, I can set my tablesaw blade to cut the exact bevel angle that I need; same thing with a mitersaw and bandsaw. I also use one on my drill-press to ensure perfectly perpendicular drilled holes. When I received the Klein angle gauge, it was off by a degree, but calibrating it was a snap and it was right-on in a couple of minutes. Being orange, it is easy to find in my shop and it’s built to withstand a drop from 6’6” (3 meters). It’s also has an IP42 rating: water and dust resistant and it comes with a case. One thing I would add to the Klein gauge is a second decimal to improve to .01-degree accuracy.

Klein Tools Digital Angle Gauge and Level The Klein Tools Digital Angle Gauge and Level can measure or set angles, check relative angles or can be used as a digital level. It has strong magnetic base. I know this is designed for electricians which I am not. None the less I think it is a great tool to have in any toolbox. I like to do some woodworking and I use it to square up my table saw blade or set it for any angle I need.. I extend the blade all the way up and use the magnet to stick it to the blade then crank the wheel till I get a perfect angle. Highly recommend it.

Great unit! I'm a cabinet maker, so I'm constantly adjusting angles on my table saw, miter saw, sanding tables, etc., and this Klein Tools Model #935DAG angle gauge (Made in China) is a great time-saver. While it's very similar in size and function to other digital angle finders, it has some added enhancements. First, it uses AAA batteries instead of harder-to-find button batteries and the battery compartment has a captive screw holding cover in place. The unit measures 0-90deg or 0-180deg – nice feature – and it has a bright, large, easy-to-read display, including an icon to show when using the “zero” function to measure relative angles rather than true angles from level. The display also shows which way to move the gauge to get to zero, whether measuring true level or relative angle. There is also a HOLD measurement function to freeze the display, indicated by a big “H” on the display. Measurements seem accurate, at least to 0.2 degrees, and the case itself is square enough that measuring on any side is within 0.3 deg of the actual angle (e.g. 0, 90, -90, 180). The display also flips as needed to allow “right-side up” numbers. The unit appropriately only measures angles when the display is facing horizontally (un-tipped); otherwise it displays “ERR” since angles measured while tipped will not be accurate. The bright orange case is easy to spot. The magnet on the base is very strong, so it will hold the unit in any orientation. The unit comes with a storage case, which is nice, but it fits so tightly that storing the gauge and the instructions in it makes either difficult to remove. Keep the instructions separate. The unit is priced very competitively. I highly recommend it.

Klein Tools Digital Angle Gauge and Level is a quality built gauge/level. The digital display is large and easy to read. One of the main things that I like about this angle gauge is it's compact design. Small enough to fit into a carpenter's apron with out taking up much space. Another nice features of this gauge is that it is equipped with a very strong magnet on the base of the gauge making it easy to attach to metal. This is a really nice feature when working with a table saw and cutting angles. The gauge also features an automatic shut off after 10 minutes of no activity conserving the battery life. Really like this gauge and would recommend it to carpenters and woodworkers.

I got this digital angle gauge to use in instances where I need a small level. It’s a great size for inclusion in my tool bag. It’s orange rubberized cover makes it easy to locate among the other tools in the bag. The magnetic base enables me to attach it to metal items like appliances such as my recently installed dishwasher. The large backlit LCD digits are easy to read, even in low light conditions. Two-button operation allows me to quickly select functions like zero (set reference plane). There are times when I need to rotate or tilt items a few degrees, and zeroing the instrument to set the reference plane provides a convenient way to do that. The angle gauge/level impresses me as being a durable tool.

The Klein Digital angle finder/level is a well made and handy tool to help you find level or to make sure you have enough and not too much drop. The tool is bright orange in color with a “back lit” (black with white numbers and symbols) display. The tool is CE and drop rated to with stand a 2-meter drop. It is also IP42 (Ingress Protection 42) so it will withstand some wetness or condensation but not much. All four sides have “V” grooves for use on pipe but only the bottom is magnetic. If you use the magnetic side overhead (upside down) the tool has an auto rotation feature so that the numbers will rotate 180 so you can read them easily but unfortunately the symbols do not rotate. The first time the zero or on/off button is pressed the tool will zero to true level. If you place the tool onto some surface and press the zero button again the surface the tool is on will now become zero and all other surfaces the tool is placed on will be compared to whatever angle the first surface was at, not true level. The hold button is real handy allowing you to press it and remove the tool so you can read it or take it with you. Because my memory is not what it use to be and I’m constantly going back and remeasuring because I forgot the number. The tool display will show you if you are reading in 90 deg. Readings or 180 deg. The inclination symbol will have an arrow indicting which way is back to level. The tools can be used up to 30 deg. off center on a pipe (tilted towards or away from you) and still read correctly, any more and an error symbol will show in the display. All in all this is a great tool, works well, come with nice storage pouch, is not hard to use and reasonably priced. Recommended.

Do you need to bend pipe to a specific angle or check an angle that’s relative to another angle? In my case, among other things, I want to know at what angle the hill in front of my house rises. Klein tools has just what the doctor ordered to solve these problems! The Digital Angle Gauge and Level gives precise measurements that are accurate to ±0.1° from 0° to 1°, 89° to 91°, 179° to 180°; ±0.2° at all other angles. Because it measures angles, it can also be used as a digital level. There are some excellent features that make this tool very easy to use: • the LCD display will auto-rotate if necessary • the display uses reverse contrast so the numbers are very easy to read • there’s a “Hold button” that keeps the reading on the display after it’s been moved • the base has a strong magnet that will keep it in place on iron surfaces • all 4 sides have a “V groove” that makes it easy to stay in place on a pipe Most electronics need lots of care in handling or else they lose functionality. This product has drop protection to 6.6’. That’s very important to me because as I age, my coordination has lost some its capability and I want to be sure that any tools I purchase can handle rough treatment. There’s also a low battery alarm, so there are “no surprises” on the job. The unit is very compact (L-2.36” H-2.2” W-1.2”) and only weighs 3.5 oz. and comes with batteries and a protective soft carry case. I would consider putting a protective cover over the screen (like you get for your cell phone) because it looks like it could scratch easily. Klein makes excellent products and I’m very pleased to add this tool to my collection. I think that you will like it too!

A handy tool I wish I had had years ago. I got this primarily to be able to more accurately set my saw blade and jointer angles and it works great for these, but is also great for helping to level my RV, as it indicates not only the angle offset from zero but the direction you have to move whatever you are trying to level to achieve it. The ability to arbitrarily set a zero point to be able to measure an angle with respect to that, and then reset it easily to true zero, is also a huge bonus. The display is large and bright, just what these old eyes need nowadays. The bottom is magnetic and a STRONG magnet at that. The “V” grove on the top, bottom and sides also make it a great tool for measuring angles of pipe and conduit; the bottom will even stick given the pipes are ferromagnetic. It is small enough to be easy to handle, but large enough not to get lost, and the bright orange stands out in my tool chest. I already own a number of Klein tools, and I have found them to be reliable and more than useful; this is no different. I recommend this for anyone who is a DIYer; I am still finding new uses for it.

A handy tool for determining angles primarily on steel (magnetic) surfaces – if used on non-magnetic surfaces, you have to hold this in place, since its molded hard plastic case has no inherent grip. There is a V-groove molded into all four sides for use on pipe – the magnet is only on the bottom side. This can also be used as a short magnetic level. The reverse contrast display really makes the screen easy to read – with the white numbers and symbols on a black background. The screen has an auto rotating feature - which only applies to the numbers, not the symbols or icons (see photo) What is really useful is the hold button, you can set the angle gauge on an object not in your sight line and press the hold button, allowing you to then remove the gauge and read the angle. The display can be toggled to read either 0-90 degrees or 0-180 degrees – accuracy is limited to tenths of a degree. This includes a soft carrying case – great for tossing into tool bag with no worries. Although the case is dust and water resistant – the soft plastic LED screen is easily scratched.

Very nice item but I wish there was a display ontop of the device so it is easier to see the readout. Also should have magnets on the sides as well instead of just the bottom.
