The description and the photos are very misleading. These are bare steel not GRAY. I expected a ready to hang GRAY door for an exterior installation. It does say that they are ready to paint lower down in the write up but I interpreted that to mean you could paint over the GRAY. The picture shows a GRAY door. Part of the door frame has some gray paint on it and looks like it was prepped to be painted. Looks like it was never finished being manufactured.

I didn't do the installation but the workman told me the door was slightly bent, the lower lock had a big dent in it and is missing special screws (unavailable at local hardware store). I'm trying to contact the manufacturer and emailed Home Depot. No success yet. oh yeah, and the cosmetic appearance of the door is pretty marred. I plan to paint it but otherwise it would be unacceptable.

This is my fourth metal door I attempted to order from Home Depot, made by LIF industries. LIF changed policies and now the door you order at $700 is only for 2x4 walls. Hardly anyone has 2x4 walls. The standard is 2x6, but LIF claims to order at deeper door jam it will cost $1500!!! LIF claims its a special order, and the door you are going to get is a lesser quality door. Home Depot needs to stop this nonsense and force the vendor to use STANDARD wall thicknesses of 2x6.

Door was pretty good, but packaging was busted and keys were missing for the locks. Good quality and friendly staff at LIF.

The doors are solid! the welded frame is not quite as user friendly as the knockdown frame for wood/residential installation but still manageable with some alterations to the framing but I knew that going in. I’ve purchased 3 so far and have not had any issues with service or quality. Will buy more if needed.

The item is listed as gray which is apparently what they call bare metal that you will have to paint. The piece across frame at bottom was bent from fork lift but i fixed it. The item shipped directly from the manufacturer and was delayed several days because the representative kept emailing me and trying to call me to verify my opening size twice like i didnt know what i was ordering then demanded another phone number with a working voicemail so homedepot could contact me when it arrived. I order all the time my notifications come as email and text. I finally had to bluntly tell them to just ship my door. Delayed job nearly a week. For the price they could at least prime the thing

Not what i expected door was hard to install in wood seal door and locking mechanism is crazy to put on also.

LIF makes the good stuff. Commercial grade construction. Welded frame and door fit well. Prehung on HD adjustable spring loaded hinges. HD key lock door knob packaged separate. Key matched dead bolt is adequate. Frame and door has threaded pockets to receive strike/latch plates. Welded frame has a temporary link at bottom to keep frame square until installed. Masonry straps and wood frame brackets come attached to jambs. Must add your own weather seal and threashhold. Metal is quality galvaneal. Heavy. Prime and paint for outside exposure.

I replaced my pedestrian door from garage to outside. Wanted something strong and would handle the weather. This door is well built and was well protected with wood for shipping. Highly recommend for residential or commercial.
