Ac works well however if you want heat to keep you warm it’s just not cutting it. Heater is very weak and doesn’t heat a small room .

We've had this unit for a 3 months now, and are impressed with its might. It's worked well both for air conditioning cooling and now quick room-heating needs, churns a lot of air flow, and is gratefully reliable as we have it paired to Alexa for ease of turning on, off, and adjusting the thermostat temperature from anywhere in the room, house, or prior to returning home from the app - very convenient. It fits the decor of the room and is semi-hidden behind a chair, vents out of a window just fine. Strongly recommend wrapping the plastic vent sleeve in a duct-insulation material so that when using the AC, the HOT air being pumped from the unit out of the vent/window doesn't radiate back into the room from the plastic - it makes a big, big difference to cool the room quicker. One note is that when set the heating mode, the unit churns out quite an impressive amount of water through the back pump, so we need to drain a 2 gallon container once-daily if kept on all day/overnight, for example. The pump does work in all positions, so all good if needed to have it go vertically up before entering a container, it's got pump power. Or you can theorhetically have the pump tube be positioned/installed to drain outside or into a proper interior drain depending on your setup, so that this isn't an issue. It's worth noting that this is a powerful and louder unit, so when the thermostat is set, if it's in your bedroom area and on overnight for temperature control (AC or heat), you may have trouble sleeping through its cycling on and off repeatedly if you're a lighter sleeper. Also recommend keeping a door cracked open if using AC so that your ears don't experience the room's air pressure jumping when the unit first turns on in a smaller room. Overall this unit is exactly what we were looking for. It's sleek, helpful all-year round with impressive AC and heat, Alexa-enabled, easy to set up and install, and so far continues to function 3 months in. Thanks kindly, LG Team!

I just bought this unit. It cools great but will not regulate the temperature. I had a service call. The tech was sharp but wasn't up to speed on this unit. After two service calls and a replacement of the control board, he determined that the temperature sensor is on the back of the unit. That places it near the window by necessity instead of sensing the entire room. The air behind the unit isn't representative of the room's temperature. It would be if the sensor were in the front of the unit. This is a fatal design flaw. The only way to control the temperature is to switch to fan mode when the room gets too cold, then back to AC when the room starts heating up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product over a year ago to cool down my garage during those Southern California heat waves where the temperatures get well above 100 F. I installed a standard dryer vent, which was 4 in. in diameter. Turns out this product comes with a 6 in. diameter air vent hose. This is not advertised anywhere on the online specs. I purchased an adapter to convert from the 6 in diameter down to 4 inches. After setting everything up, I turned the unit on and, to my disappointment, the unit started blowing hot air after about 10 minutes of operation. After repeating this several times, I called LG service. The technician who came out said I had too many turns in the vent hose and that the reduced airflow was causing the compressor to overheat. He also said that this unit was not meant to be used in such a setup. What good is an A/C unit if it doesn't work in the heat? I modified the setup such that I was using only about 4 ft of the hose and had just one turn and still had the same issue. My guess is that converting down to a 4 in. diameter isn't allowing for enough airflow, causing the compressor to overheat. If the weather is not in the 90s or above, then the unit blows cool air for a little longer. But I need this A/C unit to work when it's hot, not when it's cool or warm. So, I now have an expensive unit sitting in my garage, which only works for a limited amount of time if the air is already cool to begin with. It's possible that the unit might perform better with a 6 in. outlet. But if this is so critical to the performance of the unit, it should be clearly advertised. Also, if there is a temperature above which the unit will not work, it too should also be clearly advertised. Purchase this unit only if you're looking for additional cooling in moderate weather, can accommodate a 6 in. outlet, and will use just a couple feet of the vent hose with just one turn. Otherwise, you'll just have a very expensive fan on your hands.

If you have a big, southerly facing room with big picture windows, this will do the job.

The hose over heats while pulling air from outdoors. The seals aren't practical and make moving to new room difficult. It does NOT cool my kitchen/living room which is less than 450 square ft.Near $600 for what?Its going back!!

It’s been over a month since I purchased my portable LG AC unit. At first I was a little scared on setting it up because I thought it was going to be difficult but it was very easy and straight forward. I love how this unit comes with a window cover that has to 2 sizes to fit most if not all window sizes. It also has pre drilled holes for easy adjustment on the window piece. No need to drill holes into your window pane! Works perfect and blows extremely cold for me!

Have used it for one month and works great. Made our living room vert comfortable in warm and cooler weather.

Bought this when we ur ac broke in the hot Florida weather. Cooked tje house down until we could get a new unit.

I am very disappointed in this air conditioner. We purchased it to replace an older LG unit that always worked well. This unit, however, struggles to cool a 200sq ft room yet states it is capable for more

This AC was easy to insert into the back of unit and the window too. But be careful this units must weigh about 100lb. It has wheels for rolling but it was hard to get it upstairs.

It blows really cold and strong but is extremely loud and the fan swing makes a loud swishing noise. The first couple of nights, I needed to wear ear plugs to sleep. The vent hose does not snap in so if you move it from one room to another, you will constantly have to fit the hose to the unit. Comes with no drain hose so you will need to buy one or take it outside. Other than that, it did the job but eventually stopped blowing cold and I had to return it.
