Best Fridge we ever owned!
Not just a pretty face, but intelligent, too! This fridge keeps the food cold, but not frozen, like our old fridge and the freezer keeps everything quite frozen. The water and ice in the door takes no space from the inside space of the fridge. It is easy to see what is there and get to. We would recommend this or one of the similar models to anyone looking for a great fridge/freezer combo. The freezer on the bottom is worth buying it for alone!

NEVER HAD A BETTER ONE
This thing is awesome! Keeps all my beers cold (like never before) and my wife loves the beeping to let you know to close the fridge. Great choice!

Refrigerator has many features.
The pull out drawer in the freezer is great for smaller items you want to find fast. Has buzzer on the doors which is needed because you leave the door ajar without knowing it. Lots of storage on the inner doors. Big bottles such as juice, milk go on these inner doors. It's been over a year since we bought it and no trouble. Holds a ton of food.

LG Life Gets…NOISY
Hours after the refrigerator was delivered it started to emit a very high pitched sound from the compressor. We had an LG rep come out to examine and before doing anything he said it was not defective but that the noise was due to improper installation on an uneven floor. Even after leveling it on both top and sides it still does the same thing; by the way the floor is perfectly level in front of and on the side of unitl. Additionally, if you take your finger and press against the doors or side it will temporarily stop the noise. It is so piercing you can hear it in all contiguous rooms within your home; it’s as if your ears are constantly ringing. LG list the noise as a problem under the troubleshooting section of the owner’s manual and then explains that it is normal due to the designed efficiencies they built in. Due to this design the unit runs longer so you get to enjoy this annoying sound even more. I wouldn't walk… I would run from this LG.

    Great Refrigerator
    We've owned this refrigerator for almost a month and really enjoy it. It replaces a standard 22cft freezer on top one that made a constant whine w/o an ice maker. This is leaps and bounds above that with lots of storage in both the refrigerator and freezer section, the ice and water dispenser are easy to use and installing the line wasn't a problem at all. The energy efficient mode of operation has worked for us since we started using with no problems. We did remove the top shelf on the left hand side so we could store taller drink items, there is not enough room in the door for a gallon of milk, a container of juice, a tea dispenser, etc. This solution has worked out well. I've included a picture of the freezer drawers, it always bugged me that there were no pictures of the inside of the freezers with the product descriptions. The freezer has two drawers, a small top drawer without any dividers that rolls out on top of the bottom drawer. Both drawers are plastic with ventilation holes. I like this design better than the wire baskets in some models, a bag of frozen peas can't get stuck or torn open with the full plastic side design. A frozen pizza box will not stand up in the bottom drawer, you have to put it in at angle. Even so, there is still plenty of room in the unit.Our family of four has no trouble keeping everything we need in this model.

    This product is everything i had hoped.
    This fridge has room to spare, is quiet and nice looking. I have been very happy with it so far (had it about a month) and have had no issues at all. The only minor thing is that sometimes the ice bin is difficult to open.

    I wrote an earlier review about having problems with the ice maker---contacted LG and they came out, replaced the faulty part and everything is working great now! Love the fridge! LG could not have been more responsive and quick to fix the problem.

    Excellent appliance. However, compressor failed after 9 years, and, after agreeing to pay for it, LG decided they would only pay 40% of the costs. After numerous rounds with the "Presidential Liasion", they refused to stand by their word.

      Nice looking with great features, but had problems
      I've had this refrigerator for 7 years now. It looks great. Excellent styling and appearance. Great features. Just wish the ice maker worked better. It doesn't seem to keep up with the ice needs of a larger family. But then again we should have gone with the dual ice maker. The ice maker did have some problems due to hard water build up, where water would spill over into the ice bin and freeze as a solid block. The refrigerator has also been quite loud in operation. Perhaps rattling coils. We recently had it serviced and hopefully it will operate more quietly.

        Problems with icemaker and compressor
        Product has nice features but quality is not solid. I had problems with the icemaker within the first few years and the compressor died after 6.5 years. Experience was disappointing for a product at this price point.

          Not great.
          This fridge is only 3.5 years old and the compressor has died. If I could give Zero stars I would have. We decided to buy a Frigidaire brand fridge.

            So So Fridge

Then a loud noise kept getting worst since the compressor was changed. Also, the ice maker would get jammed and make a huge mess when pulling the ice holder out. To fix it, it would cost couple hundred dollars. Very disappointing!

                  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am enjoying my new side by side LG refrigerator. It is sleek and looks perfect in my kitchen and blends in seemingly with my other appliances. My new LG gives me plenty of room in the freezer side as well as the refrigerator side. And finally, I have an ice maker that makes plenty of ice for me.! Everything I store inside the refrigerator is so easy to reach. All my food items are able to be placed exactly where they are easy to get to, which is not what I had in my previous fridge. I really couldn’t be more pleased with my LG side by side refrigerator.

                    Icemaker Nightmare
                    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Inherited LG in purchase of home from woman who purchased it 12-02-15. Icemaker is a dysfunctional nightmare. Ice tray dies not fill with water but functions like it is emptying cubes with bang, bang. I know 2 other LG owners who have the same issue. It has to be turned off at night to avoid bang, bang. I'm retired widow who cannot afford what LG said it would cost and there is no local Indianapolis repair.

                        Beware of Icemaker
                        [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Icemaker is poor quality. Ice tray does not fill with water but continues to clank like it is trying to empty tray. Friend has Lg w/icemaker and same issue. She turned it off and I turn mine off at night for sleep. Other than the icemaker, love the refrigerator. Very roomy and movable shelves and 2 drawers for veggies/fruit and 1 drawer above freezer.

                            Beware Icemaker
                            Icemaker is dysfunctional. Ice cube tray does not fill with water yet goes through process of trying to empty with banging noise. (At night I turn it off.) Icemaker part of the LG refrigerator is substandard quality.

                                  We've had this refrigerator for 7.5 years and the compressor just died. Not bad for modern appliances I guess. The unit is decent overall, but the door shelves are absolute trash. Flimsy plastic that breaks under the weight of a lemon (not really, but out of six door shelves included four have already broken).
