I don't have to curse and cry every week when I bring home groceries any more, because I have more than enough room for everything. I literally giggled and hopped for joy the first time I put groceries away. The freezer has space for everything, from the meats, which I separate into type, to frozen veggies, to desserts, to frozen lunch items for school. I love the door in door feature. I love that we can have 3 types of ice. And the space saving ice maker and in door water take up so little space, it's perfect. I use the convertible drawer for a freezer because we need the space, but because of that I don't have a dedicated place for deli meats and cheeses. I only wish there was 1 more drawer in the fridge for those. Also, at times the ice maker is a little loud, but I will live with that any day for the amazing amount of space this fridge gives me for all of our foods. I'm in love with this refrigerator!

My husband and I got this fridge five years ago, it’s a pretty expensive model and has broken down several times with regular everyday use. First the ice maker stopped working. We got that fixed. Then water continually flowed out of the water dispenser no matter what we did making a giant mess until we unhooked them water. We got that fixed. Then a week later it happened again. Now the fridge completely went out ruining all my food in the fridge and freezer - all while displaying the temperature readings on the outside as normal when it was really 72 degrees in the fridge. Since the temp showed normal on the outside we didn’t realize it wasn’t working until everything was melted and ruined. This refrigerator is an absolute piece of junk and I wish I had never bought it. It’s huge and bulky, the ice maker is tiny and it literally can’t even work for five years. For $3000 that’s just ridiculous. Please don’t make the same mistake I did, don’t buy this thing. Buy any other brand seriously.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had LG come out to service our fridge two times in less than 6 month. In fact, it stopped working again 6 weeks after our last repair and are scheduled for a 3rd repair this week. Our ice maker on the door does not drop ice into the bin unless you push the button manually. The freezer is falling all of my food and no longer dropping craft balls, either. While it is making ice, it does not dispense the ice into the bins. It also just leaks out the front door. We’ve had our compressor repaired. Then replaced, and had LG come out a second time to work on why it was not dumping ice or dropping temps. We’ve experienced multiple fridge still out and have lost lots of money due to this. When the refrigerator works, it’s wonderful. The capacity inside is great, and it was our favorite fridge… When it worked the way it was supposed to. Now it has been nothing but a headache.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has been only 2 weeks since installation and up to now all working fine except for the Craft Ice feature. Very good space on all areas. Door-in-door is great. My only disappointment is with the quality of the Craft Ice. Many batched were done already and all ices come out with one flat edge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3 weeks in and loving it Read up on the reviews so I wasn’t “surprised” that the craft ice took 24 hours to make 3 or the configuration for “taller” Items for shelving So when I for my fridge it was wonderful The drawer that can be used as freezer or chill drawer or just extra fridge space is amazing My only draw back is not enough ice when company is over. I have to buy ice or make sure I “store up” since the auto ice maker bin is so small Again I did read up about that so wasn’t too surprised Overall loving my new fridge My husband is in love with the craft ice

Was excited to get this fridge 3 months ago however we are disapointed that the compressor failed already. All our food has spoiled! Unfortunately LG has had issues with this model and is behind in production so parts are not available. At this point the repair window is 2 weeks out and the only other option is a buy back. Took 6 weeks to get it delivered in the first place. Avoid this mess.

We ordered our refrigerator in Oct and it was delivered in Dec. We were told by LG that the warranty starts at order date not the delivery date. The refrigerator never really got cold. We missed our 48 hour return window for a replacement with home depot as we were in the middle of a kitchen reno and we did not know there was only a 48 hour window for return. We also thought it was just slow getting up to temp. We found out after the second repair person came out that the condenser and the sealed system had an issue. We have so far used over 4 months of warranty with no working refrigerator. We are hoping this is settled eventually but needless to say we would never recommend this refrigerator and after going without a refrigerator this long we would recommend choosing another brand.

I got the black stainless and it is beautiful. More importantly the second full convert drawer can be turned into a freezer or deli or vegetable drawer. the controls for the convert drawer are in the main refrigerator on the right side. the Craft Ice is great. I love those huge round pieces of ice. So far everything is freshly maintained and the freezer does not frost up like that lousy GE i bought only 2 years ago. I love this fridge. i did get it on sale. image: the GE oven is also going. i ordered a samsung to match the fridge

Spent lots of money getting my dream fridge and it has let me down more that you will ever know!! The ice maker is in the fridge so it can keep the ice cold enough to keep it frozen. So the ice melt and then you have huge problem.

This product meets my expectation after almost a month of use - I like the spacious interior and also the exterior look of it. The Craft Ice however still is producing incomplete ice balls hence the four stars. I do have a problem with the delivery experience and the customer service of that experience. I would recommend buying this product from elsewhere.

Replaced a 15 year old side-by-side with this model 6 weeks ago. There is a lot of room inside and everything is easy to access. Really like the middle drawer that can be changed between freezer and fridge modes. Haven't had a lot of use for it yet, but the flexibility is great since we sometimes have a lot of frozen food. Also like the door-in-door feature to keep drinks easy to access (although I would probably avoid putting milk there). HD Installation and removal of the old refrigerator was professional and done quickly. I have read some reviews saying the icemaker is too small and/or slow. While the front door bin is somewhat smaller than our old icemaker, it's more than enough for my family of 4 (including 2 heavy ice users). I think it's going to be enough for most people, if you can get over the small cubes. The craft ice is a novelty, but with only 3 made per day, you can't use very many. Overall this has been a great purchase, only dinged this a little on value, because I can't believe I spent this much on a refrigerator.

This refrigerator looks nice & is well laid out & is easy to clean. We chose this specific model bc it has 2 ice makers- the in-door ice maker and a second ice maker in the freezer drawer. In particular, we wanted the craft ice for the second ice maker for adult beverages & filling sports water bottles. We've had this refrigerator about 2 months. By day 5, it still had not produced a single craft ice ball & the in-door ice maker was not even filling the tiny ice bin overnight. So, we called LG support to make sure all connections were done properly when it was installed. We were told by LG's tech support that "our expectations were too high!" Then they helped us log into the app and make some adjustments that haven't helped at all. It doesn't make (or hold) enough ice for all 5 of us to fill our glasses with ice for dinner time! This is bad! Both ice makers are terribly slow! It takes 30 hours to produce THREE craft ice balls! (Seriously, this is even in the manual). Therefore, this is certainly not effective for filling my kids' sports water bottles. Now, two months later, the in-door ice maker still will not fill the tiny bin overnight, and as a side note, the ice cubes are smaller than typical ice cubes and everyone covets the use of the craft ice bc they are an anomaly. They're usually none in there unless we threaten the kids to leave them alone so we can accumulate them for company (like for this weekend). Also, when the water drips or ice drops from the dispenser, there is no tray to catch it. It just puddles, then when someone opens the door to the refrigerator it pours all over the floor. This could be better. It should have a removable tray or a ridge, or something to keep water from spilling onto the floor. In summary, do not buy this fridge if you are a family of more than, say TWO, or you just like ice, bc this thing hardly makes any! We are a family of five & have finally decided we just need to purchase an ice machine bc "Our expectations are too high", to expect a refrigerator with TWO ice makers to make enough ice to support our family. The refrigerator & freezer portions are really nice & I like the bins & spacing. But the ice makers are a deal breaker for us! So, unfortunately, I cannot recommend this refrigerator.

I think over the last 2 months I’ve looked at more refrigerators than I can count and have probably done way more research on them than I should have lol. With that being said, I’m so glad we chose this LG model. Like almost everyone else mentioned-make sure you look at the dimensions of this fridge as the standard version is pretty deep! We actually ended up cancelling our order because of that and reordered it in the counter depth size and it was definitely the right choice! It fits perfect and still has plenty of space. Especially with the flex/chill drawer you’re getting a whole bunch of extra storage space. The drawer was actually what sold us on this unit. You can store so much more stuff in there vs the regular pull out drawers that’s in all the other fridges. Plus you can turn it into a freezer if you like. I was worried about the narrow shelves on the doors but they actually work out pretty well for holding our condiments (except the big bottle of ketchup or the pickle jar which are too big). The door in door is also great and holds a lot of stuff (more than I thought it would). Between the door and door and the flex drawer we hardly ever have to open up the entire fridge, so it’s been very convenient. We have had a 10 year old whirlpool and were a little nervous switching over to a different brand. After doing all types of research I felt ok going with LG but we did purchase the extended warranty through HD which I hope we won’t have to use. I’ll definitely update if we end up having any issues with the unit. But so far it’s been wonderful! Quiet, spacious, convenient and pretty much everything you could want in a fridge. Oh and yes, the ice balls do take forever to make. I think it’s 3 every 24hours. But we mostly use the other ice anyways so it’s not a big deal. We might actually end up turning that ice maker off anyways and use that space for more freezer storage instead.

Replaced a 30 cu ft lg with this one. I very much like the convertible draw and 2 instead of 3 crisper bins. Love the door in door. Very similar shelving and space otherwise. The freezer is slightly smaller but very adequate. The lighting is not quite as good. Lights are all towards the front. Works ok but should have a light towards the back. The water dispenser works well. But the water comes out very close to the front of the glass as it’s pressed to dispense the water. Be careful with a narrow glass. You also have to hold the glass high up for ice or it sometimes misses the glass. Neither a deal killer. Just have to adapt to it. Stainless finish seems better than old one. Too new to tell for sure but so far no smudging. Ice filled in 24 hours using ice plus. Same as old one. Still waiting on craft ice which is a nice bonus feature but not essential. We’ll see how that goes. I’ve made ice balls using molds and they are never perfect. So expectations are that it will be similar. Installation went ok. Water shutoff valve under sink was perfectly acceptable to installers. Customer service told me it might be an issue. But it wasn’t. The only problem I had was the door hinge height on the old box was listed as the same as the new one. It is, but there is a bar all the way across not just on the top sides. So I had to remove a piece of molding. Not a big deal but this model wasn’t on display and I didn’t know in advance that it was different given that the specs were the same for height. It is about 2” deeper. Not a major issue but I’m not sure why. Inside space is the same. Lastly, I pushed the refrigerator to the back when I removed the molding. Seemed ok but noticed the noise level was really bad. I thought it would improve as things cooled down but nope. I ended up jiggling it a bit and noticed some change. I then pulled it out about 1/2” and the noise disappeared. Apparently pushing the rear all the way back results in vibration on the back panel. End result is this is quieter than my old one. Hopefully it will last. I got 12 years out of last one with a new compressor installed 2 years ago. If it’s reliable, which hopefully it will be, this is a great refrigerator with plenty of space. Quiet. Recommend it even with the few flaws listed.

The amount of space and storage is very impressive and we are loving the craft Ice. I had the opportunity to turn the fridge drawer into a freezer and back into a deli fridge and the changing process was very quick in both directions. I made the changes (back and forth) within 24 hours. I've only had this fridge for about 2 weeks and so far I love it!

Great fridge. The craft ice is really great and the fast-freeze feature is perfect when loading new items. Home depot delivery was amazing and took great care in delivering up the stairs.

The doors do not close if you do not hold push them all the way closed. To switch from ice to water on the dispenser, you have to click the button twice if the screen has gone to sleep: once to wake it and once to switch. As far as I can tell, there is no way to turn off the open-door-alarm to clean the fridge. The inside housing of the fridge has a dent where the shelf sits, so it wobbles. Would not buy again.

This is the best refrigerator that I have ever owned. It has fantastic features and temperature controls. Food stays fresh for weeks. All areas are programmable.

Having a convertible drawer go from refrigerator to freezer is awsome! I love the right door opens for just door items. Keeps the rest of the refrigerator cold when it's open!

Great refrigerator with LG quality and Home Depot support.

I spent a year researching and looking for a new refrigerator until I found this one. It met all my criteria & needs plus a few extra bonuses. I purchased my new fridge end of May 2023, and it was delivered 2 weeks later. Pros: French Doors w/door in door, space saving Ice maker in door, (Yes it's smaller but if I need more ice I just turn on my Ice Plus or get a bag of ice depending on my needs), Conversion drawer that can be used either as a freezer or fridge, I'm currently using it deli & snacks. A large freezer drawer w/divider & sliding shelf. Cons: Freezer has a Manufacturers Defect - LG was aware of this issue. The LG Support was rude, nasty, unhelpful, The manager was even worse and tried to claim she was "In Charge of LG". She also stated that LG was not responsible for reimbursing me for the loss of food. I lost $400 worth of meat and frozen goods and we all know that groceries, especially meat is not cheap. They fixed my freezer in Sept 2023 and then had to come back out again in Feb 2024 for the same issue. This time Support actually accused me of breaking my freezer. The repair tech said that LG told him that he had to send my parts back to them, I told him that was because they accused me of breaking my freezer. He said that there was no way I was responsible.

Bought this refrigerator on 11/27/2023 was delivered 12/05/2023 Worked as expected great size holds everything on 02/17/2024 It shut off refrigerator and freezer. Got it back running following diagnostics. On 04/14/2024 The freezer was not working again customer service got a guy out here bad compressor seven days no refrigerator loss of food new compressors in. I don’t know how I feel about this purchase at this point right now. Life is not good. LG.

I could not be more dissatisfied with ALL of my LG appliances. In 2021 and bought a package of all LG appliances and they have ALL broken in some way. This refrigerator has already had the craft ice maker replaced( service was a nightmare) the ice plus feature makes the fridge warm and the freezer defrost (the solution was to stop using this feature) and now the fridge will not go below 50 degrees... after a 10 min visit the Tech said it's fixed but the fridge is still 50. Worst costumer service
