[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful Color exactly what I was looking for. Works better than expected. I had an LG washer and dryer I finally broke. This time the family wanted a top load large enough to handle comforters. This one works like a charm I have a washer dry or combination. I was extremely impressed how quiet it is compared to my old LG. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a large capacity washer and dryer combo. Being a top loan if you don’t have to worry about the water collecting on the seal so they are much happier.

I reviewed the reviews before buying. We have four teens in the home and needed a large washer. Washer is large capasity but when washing bedding the system struggles nad does not complete the cycle. I tried just putting in the cloth king size bedspread (not a comforter) and the machine just repeated wring cycle three tiomes and would not complete spin. My front load machine never had this issue. If I had known it could not handle the weight I would have never bought the machine. Now I have it outside dripping wet.

I had a previous top load LG washer that was still working. It was 8 years old. Never had an issue with it except that I had to replace the shocks that started sagging and that caued the tub to spin out of control. Easy replacement and very affordable. I wanted to get the new model that had the Wi-Fi, larger tub and the extra cycles. Plus, it was on sale for $998.00 . It’s been a month and I’m very happy with it so far. I did have an issue with the agitator but that was not the washers fault. Please note: *** If you purchase this model or any of the LG top loaders and use a floor pan that is supposed to catch the water in the event of a leak or flood, it will make a loud noise until you raise the unit: If you try to wash heavy bedding or a heavy load, the washer will make a loud grinding noise and possibly stop agitating during the wash cycle. All you need to do is to raise the washer off the floor with either some wood or raise the feet up high enough to clear it from rubbing. I temporarily raised it on wood as a test, but I would recommend doing it permanently on something else because on the spin cycle, it will vibrate like crazy. Why? The bottom tray has a raised rib that goes across the plastic floor pan. With heavy loads and a lot of water, the tub would rub on the plastic floor tray causing the gears to grind. Raising it resolved this issue and it runs fine without any noise. If it was not for another reviewer that has a WT7800 model (on home depot sites reviews), I would have never figured this out. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the new LG Direct Drive 14 function washing machine about a month ago. This machine is faster than our old Kenmore Elite washer as it adds the water it needs to run the programmed wash cycle. The 5.5 size drum gives us plenty of room for larger loads. So with quicker cycles to finish a normal load and what looks like cleaner clothes, we could not be happier. The use of their LG Smart ThinQ app and WiFi allows for custom wash cycles and tells us on our cell phone when the load is finished!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the WT7900HBA from Home Depot brand new. Along with the DLEX7900BE. The drum of the WT7900 had an orange discoloration that looked like rust. The delivery guy hurriedly put it on a wash cycle and said it would clean out. The stain didn't clean and after the cycle finished I inspected it more closely. It emanates from where the bottom and sides of the drum are attached. The worst of it is down in the crevices around the edges. I ran a self clean cycle with white vinegar. There was no improvement. Now listen, this is all understandable. Things happen. However LG's customer service was horrible. First they didn't want to replace the washer. They wanted to service it. Which is not likely to fix rust in the drum. Then when Home Depot finally talked them into replacing the darn washer LG scheduled the removal and replacement with me over the phone, but LG didn't actually schedule with Home Depot Home Delivery. So after spending a couple thousand dollars I am sitting here with no clean clothes and no way to even go buy a new washer dryer and have this old one removed. I have a weird job, I work out of the country and I am only home and gone sporadically and with very little notice. Of course LG wouldn't rush the removal of the old unit and replacement. So essentially I can't return the old unit to make space for the new unit. At any rate now I am forced to find a buddy to help me move this crummy washer and the dryer I have never even had a chance to turn on and go to a local scratch and dent and try to find a washer and dryer to buy for my new house because, I need one today, before I go out of the country for work Saturday for a couple weeks. I guess I will have to store the items waiting for LG to return in a guest room or something. It's been 2 weeks already. I am so frustrated that I am actually making an on line review. You know I must be frustrated to go to that level of commitment. I am not convinced that LG is upholding the standard Consumer Reports has granted them. Buyer beware. And definitely beware of their customer service.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this beautiful washer over a week ago. Oh my goodness I'm so in love with it!! First of all, the color is so nice. Very easy to install. My first time ever having a washer with WiFi. It took a few minutes to connect the WiFi but when it did connect it was easy to use. I put the app on my phone and it's so cool to use. You can see all what the washer is doing. The control panel settings is easy to use and also the smart features. With a family of 5, the huge capacity helps out so much. Also great for blankets and comforters. It's very quiet too when using compared to my old one that was very loud. It washes so much faster than my old one and clothes come out smelling so fresh. Definitely a must have washer!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is honestly the first "high-end" washer that I've ever owned and I'm LOVING it. It makes doing laundry a breeze because there are so many different types of wash cycles and the machine senses the load size so I never have to select a multitude of settings manually. It's also high-efficiency so it's saving on electricity and it's remarkably quiet. One thing that I especially love is the tub size--it's huge compared to the washer that I previously owned and what would have once been considered a "large" load in my last washer now only fills about half of the tub in this one! Another kind of fun thing about it is that the lid has a clear window in it and there's something almost mesmerizing about being able to actually see my laundry being done (my inner child gets a kick out of this). Although not a necessary feature, the machine is also compatible with a downloadable app which allows one to control the wash cycles remotely from a cell phone and it's even possible to have LG help troubleshoot the machine through the app if necessary. Long story short, I'm really happy with the machine so far and it's making me wish that I'd upgraded sooner.

For the Wi-Fi feature just download the Reccomendedd app. You can easily start/stop a cycle from the convenience of your own couch or wherever you may be. I personally like to just get up and do it myself. I'm a stay-at home parent. The tub is pretty big. I was able to fit loosely, a Queen comforter or 2 twin comforters. With my old washer I washed every 2-3 days but with this one I wash once a week. It definitely cuts some time off of my chores. There's also a variety of settings to choose from. I'm still trying to figure out how to cut time on certain washes. You don't have to choose if it's a small, medium, large load. The tub spins and senses how much of load is in there. Love the look its classy, modern all around nice appearance.

The drum inside has no agitator so that gives even more room to do bigger loads. It has 15 different wash cycles and is super quiet. I really like the wash setting for allergens since my daughter has bad allergies. It has a timer on the display panel and also many options as to how soiled your load is to how fast you want the cycle to spin. With this being wifi enabled you can download the app and control the washing machine from your phone such as start/stop and notification to your phone when the cycle is done. LG did not disappoint with this washing machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My washer messed up a week ago I vowed to not buy another one of the same brand because I’ve had been loyal to that’s same company for years and a total of three washers messed up on me. I’m glad I got this amazing brand the washer is way bigger than the other three I’ve owned in the past came just in time the installers did an amazing job both delivering and giving instructions they were really professional and available I love the mirror finish and the viewable top I can see the clothes wash and all the smart settings I definitely recommend I was so excited to have it hooked up I took a picture during the process it was so beautiful.

Home Depot did not install the washer properly ( completely forgot to attach drain hose) pressed start and let the washer destroy our laundry room + attached kitchen. We have only been offered roughly 30% of the damages by HD and are forced to live in the basement for months while the entire kitchen and laundry room are gutted to replace the sub floor. My husband is full time active duty military and we will be forced to live with 1/2 a house while he is gone for work 🇺🇸. Don’t trust HD.

Disappointing that this washer is only two years old and it's making an odd squeaking noise while the drum is spinning below a certain speed. Making me wonder how much longer it's going to be before repair/replacement.

The delivery people were very helpful and careful installing the new units. Everything was set up and tested nicely. Since install they have performed great!! Clean and Dry amazingly, and fast, extremely quiet, both washer and dryer have more features functions then normal so reviewing the manual was needed. Absolutely love these units so far. We hope they keep performing like this for many more years. Great units.

This washer and dryrer replace a new Miele Washer and Dryer at less than half the cost and 5 times the performance.

I bought LG washer and dryer 5 years ago. I loved them! Huge washer which got everything very clean, saved water (CA) and even washed bedspreads. Dryer was the same. Then we had a fire. I was so happy to find (almost) the exact same washer and dryer! These are excellent products. I've never had trouble with them.

While the machine washes the clothes sufficiently, it makes terribly loud noises as it agitates - we don’t know yet if it’s a lemon or a lousy model feature - we are awaiting a replacement machine.

Clean quiet and efficient. You won’t like it, you’ll LOVE it.

I am extremely impressed with this direct drive washer with all the bells and whistles including the WIFI feature and now I can receive alerts when the washer has completed the cycle and no more worries about when the laundry is done and especially limiting the amount of trips I have to take up and down the stairs. It is also a very sleek and good looking machine that definitely gets the job done!!

I love my washer. Ever thought I could love a washer but this one I do! I love the choice of cycle and LG app.

Calling for support was a total waste of my time!!! OH I am so mad at myself for purchasing this crap!!

I had hoped, given then price especially, that this washer would be better. A blanket with sheets will error out and it tries to repeat cycles or something to get past it but then just fails. I was able to rearrange to blanket to the top to finally get it through spin. 4 bed pillow cause it to end the cycle with 3 inches of water on the bottom and soaked pillow. I rearranged and put it through spin again and got enough water out. Clothes with some dried on food from cooking earlier in the week came out still dirty. This technology is not ready for prime time, but the price sure is.
