Answer This Question

Can you be watered by sprinklers instead of drip line?
ByMay 29, 2025
1 Answer |
Answer This Question

Drip lines are recommended, however sprinklers can be used for Sprinter Boxwoods. These are drought tolerant once established so daily watering is usually unnecessary.

How deep do roots grow on ground
    ByApr 19, 2025
    1 Answer |
    Answer This Question

Boxwoods are typically fairly shallow rooted, growing no more than 12-15 inches deep into the soil. The roots do spread a bit to enhance water intake from the environment (rain/irrigation) but don't go particularly deep.

This shrub thrives in USDA Hardiness Zones 5-9. Extremely satisfied with this purchase. I actually wound up making two purchases of the same product. Each came from a different nursery but in both orders, the plants were healthy, showing new growth and were packaged well. Each plant was between 12-16" tall and 10-12" wide. They are all planted and thriving. I'm very pleased.

            Hit or miss
Bought 3 shrubs, two arrived yellowed out of the box. Trying to do what I can to preserve them indoors prior to spring planting (cold snap during week of delivery), but I doubt the coloration happened during delivery.

Healthy but not 2 gal- more like 1 gal
Shipped healthy and packed nicely but incredibly small. I would have to advise buying at a nursery and checking size before ordering online .

                Ordered 10 !
I bought 10 of the 2 gal size and they came the other day ~ being Oct .. I figured maybe I would get some serious rejects . But all were packaged nicely with great healthy color , so I’m very happy for that . I must admit both my husband and I were a bit surprised with how tiny they were for a 2 gal.. size ~ We were just at a nursery the other day and the 2 gal were 2x this size :/

                  Just WOW
The packaging of these plants is award winning quality. WOW. Boxed well, pot wrapped well, and with a cardboard fill piece to keep the plants from breaking if placed on their tops. Excellent work Porven Winners. I will certainly buy from ypu again.

Arrived quickly and healthy! This larger size for only a little more money was an easy choice. Looking forward to seeing how these come in over the next few seasons.

To be honest, hard to say because I just planted them a few weeks ago. I was dissapointed because of the actual size of the shrubs, being 2 gallons, they were kinda small to me.
