I have a Weather-Shield that I've had for about 15-20 years and when it is on Low, you can barely hear it. When these newer Weather-Shields are on low, it sounds like Hi speed on a fan - these are really loud. They are thinner than their older models as well. They do move a lot of air, I will give them that. So if noise isn't an issue, then maybe these would be good for you.

One of the best fans I've ever bought. I would recommend it to anyone. Gives good strong breeze.

Work great- bought them to draw air into our shop through the windows and they work great to circulate the shop.

I love these fans. We' put them in our window and don't have to worry about wet weather conditions too much. We just need to turn them off if they don't want rain coming into our room.

Started making noise on high speed if left on for a long time after about 6 months. Worked good for the time, but is now unusable for long periods due to the noise. Know it's limits if you plan on getting this fan, I got it to help me sleep at night, and was good for about 6 months

A little disappointed. I had chosen this one because my old Lasko 20 Box Fan bought about 15 years ago was very quiet and I was hoping to get the same quietness. Unfortunately, the new Lasko 20 Box Fan is noticeably louder. Also, its lowest speed is higher than the old one's. What happened with the quiet fans with low speed? Can't get it anywhere.

Buy one of these about once a year, they run great with minimal cleaning 24/7 365+

It lays flat in the garage access hole pulling heated air out. The sealed bearings keep it running.

I had a Lasko fan just like this one for 22 years. Twenty-two years! And it worked well. When it finally stopped working, I just went out and bought another one. Hopefully this Lasko fan will hold up as well.

I have always used lasko fans in our barn stalls for our horses. For the additional cost of the performance modrl I wouldn't recommend wasting your money. The grills are so cheap a child could easily push a finger through. The blades are so out of balance that the fan shakes quite a bit. I purchased 4 fans and tgey all are the same. I've had the fans for 3 weeks.

I have been using this brand over the years and have been very pleased. I purchase at least 5-6 fans per season. The past 2 seasons they all have either stop working or horribly wobble within 1 day to 2 months. The quality control and quality has definitely gone down hill.

Fan is easy to assemble, and works fine, like the rain resistant motor for use in the window

Fan is poorly made. Fan blade kept coming loose because of pressed fit. Some screws were missing.

Construction is unbelievably flimsy and flopsy with a handle that feels and looks like it has been cut from and coca cola can and slip on feet that are not part of the unit begging to be lost and rendering fan useless. I don't know how long the motor will last but I wouldn't take any bets.

Used this fan in the attic while insulation was being replaced. Added filter to back side of fan to keep particulant matter from getting in the fan motor and on the blades. Strong fan that kept the workers cooler. Also installed an attic fan that evacuates the air in the attic space that has automatic controller to turn on and off according to temperature.

The fan blade rubbed against the front grill when the fan was turned on. The support bracket for the motor appears to have been out of alignment. There was no obvious damage to the shipping box. I might have been able to get the fan working properly by doing a bit of pounding and bending. However, I was very disappointed with the condition of this “new” product and decided to return it.
