After installing this outlet in my kitchen, my husband just told me to not buy these again, even if we're wiring the doghouse. The backwire option is only useful for 14G wire (most residences are 12G) and that was noted nowhere in the specs or on the box. These are the cheapest outlets that Leviton could legally produce. We'll see how long it lasts.
