A nice replacement for an older fixture or for new construction. My pull light recently snapped so this is a perfect replacement. I much prefer ceramic fixtures because they are more durable and can take heat much longer than plastic light pulls. Specs are up to 250V and 660W. Fits 3 1/4 and 4" boxes and standard base bulbs. This will come with the ceramic fixture, pull string and mounting screws. It mounts to an existing electrical box with the included screws. Install takes under five minutes. I'd recommend it for anyone in the market for a new light pull fixture. Go ceramic and never have to worry about it again.

Have to concur with other posters who say it's junk. The chain in mine broke after only two years in my cellar where it was used four or five times each month. And it's twice as expensive as Leviton's plastic version.

I ordered on line and was pleased that it was made out of porcelain. Talk about old world class! I like the stark reality of a simple, single, unprotected light bulb that adds ambient texture to any room where long hours of questioning could take place.

easiest thing to put in there on an outlet box or connector box. We had a blank plate above kitchen window which had wire connections in it. Looked ugly and without a purpose. with this I was able to put in a light there with pull switch and brighten put my kitchen and sufficient light to clean dishes.

Very smooth pulley experience; easy installation; simple look

We purchased 5 of these for our basement and every single one has the clicker breaks in about 1 year. It will no longer turn on or off the light. We have since gone to another brand that also makes a porcelain version via online retailer. I would suggest that you skip this one. It is easy to install but the internal mechanism is garbage.

I have not used it...therefore I do not know how well it will work...just believe it will do the job that I purchase it to do.

This was easy to pick up at my Home Depot store (in stock) and when I got it home it installed without a hitch. I replaced an old porcelain one because the chain quit working. Happy Wife!

Installed lamp socket and everything worked fine at first. Within 2-3 months, socket developed an internal loose switch connection (not a loose connection wire). Light bulbs would flicker on and off just by brushing against the pull chain string. Light would flicker when chain was pulled and sometimes would not even turn on with first pull. Usually Leviton has quality products. Replaced with another of the same socket, will see if this one lasts.

I have a few of the older porcelain pull chain style fixtures in my home in closets and the basement. The fixtures last a long time but the pull chain mechanism fails after a few years. This is the first time I replaced one with the plastic base version. It doesn't feel as nice or as sturdy as the porcelain ones and even pulling the chain doesn't feel as good. It works though and I can finally turn on the light in my laundry room without pulling on the chain 20 times. like the failing one did. I use it in my laundry and utility room so it gets frequent use and it's holding up fine. This is much cheaper than the other version though. I only wish home depot would just sell the internal pull chain lamp holder so I could just replace that instead of the whole fixture as I've done in the past. If you need one of these fast these are the only ones that are available in my local stores.

Did what I needed with little effort. Just wish it was in stock in the store instead of ordering online.
