Very bright, compact and easy installation

It provides light easily where a plug receptacle is available. I intend to buy another for the other side of the garage.

I just replaced 4 fluorescent fixtures in my workshop with 4 of these Lithonia Lighting puppies. Wow, what a difference. Super bright, no hum, and they use less electricity to boot. How could I not be happy? They take a fraction of a second to turn on but once they're on you see everything.

I was worried about whether this unit would be bright enough... no worries, it's blindly bright! Too bright actually. Or maybe it's the intensity right at the light source? It hurts my eyes to look at it... and on my low basement ceiling, it's hard to avoid looking right into this thing. So I channeled my inner redneck and tie-strapped my old fluorescent unit's diffuser on to the LED unit... it helps a lot! No loss in overall lighting, and I don't have the intense light source burning my retinas anymore. Recommendation: Use this unit on a high ceiling, or look for a unit with better diffusing for low ceilings.

light is bright and awsome as u would expect from led . bad side - as these strips get smaller and smaller the housings get flimsier. depending how u mount it can be difficult to snap them together . Out of 5 fixtures I have done ive had missing cap pieces on the bulb in 4 of them ,one bad led (has dark spot on light) .For the price I think they should be better quality. the t-5 fixtures are same price but probably generate more heat so what you gonna do ?

Perfect for over the sink lighting

This light took the place of 6' flourescents. The light they put out is amazing. Very satisfied with them. Looking to replace some lights on the other side of my shop.

Easy installation, bright, maintenance free and environmentally friendly. A bit costly. But considering the longevity and low cost to operate they are worth it.

Love these things. I've got a combination of 8 and 4 foot units in my home garage where I spend a lot of time working on cars. They are plenty bright and the color temperate is just right.

I have a 28x36 foot shop with 12 foot walls and thought I'd put 3 of these in now and then add 3 or 6 later depending on high much more light I need. Well 3 are plenty to light up the whole shop. Best bang for the buck with 4500 lumens for $45. Give off a nice natural color, very bright.

Used these to replace 4 4ft fluorescents. I couldn’t be happier! Installation was easy and my wife loved them too. They give off more light than the older ones did. I will say that the second one I put up had a dead spot in it. Other than the hassle of returning it for a new one they were easy to work with. I highly recommend them!

The 8’ 90W LED Strip lights from Lithonia installed easily and give great lighting in my garage. I used three 8’ strips, each extended with a 4’ version of the same, in my garage. They look great, as if I’d had 12’ lights professionally installed. The only recommendation I have for do-it-yourselfers is when you separate the top and bottom of the fixture so you can mount them, tie a few loops of string loosely around both the base and top parts so the top isn’t hanging from the internal wiring while you mount the fixture to your ceiling. The loops should allow the top to hang about 10” below the base so you can easily access the internals for mounting. I used a short piece of tape to hold each loop in place against the base so they don’t slide around or off. Some of the internal wiring is delicate and the top is heavy enough that if its hanging by the internal wires they can break loose from the solder pads on the LED electronics. One of the fixtures I purchased from Home Depot had been previously purchased by someone and then returned to the store. Since it looked ok I installed it along with the others, only to find out that one section of it didn’t light up. After I took it down and inspected the wiring closer it was easy to see that one of the internal wires had broken loose from its solder pad attachment to the LED. It was not fun to have to take down a 12’ long strip of LED lighting from my 9’ tall ceiling, drive back to the store for a new one and then install it all over again!

I installed two of these strip lights. The brightness of both strip lights were excellent, however, I question the quality. One of the strip lights that I installed had a ~5 inch segment that was dark (the other was fully illuminated). Also, I found it very cumbersome that the LED panel could not be physically removed while mounting the fixture (this made the install a little more difficult).

Easy to install - very bright! Replaced an old florescent fixture that needed replacement bulbs very frequently. I look forward to many years of bulb free light!

the ground wires and screws were loose...ground wires to fixture connection were snapped at the eye out of the box...the end caps for the led plastic housing were missing...other than that...great light output...low amp draw ..low heat...the bright white light it produces is great for welding and fabrication... cheap internal components with poor quality control kinda scares me but so far no problems after a week of sparks and metal...has a 5 year warranty so register your light fixture immediately after you purchase and keep your receipt....if the leds start burning up I will update....just be prepared as this is not a plug and play fixture...must check all connections prior to install as a few were hanging by the very tip of wire...had to repair several connections...I purchased 2 and both had similar yet different problematic connections from ballasts....

Bright, easy to install, unites will connect together. But the lamp end caps fall off easy

Very bright lights, much brighter than the old T-12 shop type fluorescent fixtures. They are very lightweight and can be managed by one person when installing. That being said, they have some "features" that, as other reviewers have mentioned, make these lights get knocked down a notch on the rating to only 4 stars. The lights are in two pieces, one is the actual LED strips and diffusers and then the base that has the controller which is the piece that gets attached to whatever you are mounting the lights to (I flush mounted mine). There is wiring between both pieces that cannot be removed, so the LED strip part ends up dangling by the electrical wires while you mount the base and make the final electrical connections. It's a weird way to have to do this and I kept waiting for the wires to rip out, but none ever did and I have installed 12 so far. The metal housing is very thin sheet metal and you will bend it if you have to knock out any of the knockouts. The tabs that hold the two aforementioned pieces together do not give you a warm fuzzy feeling that everything is solidly secured because, well, it isn't. I haven't resorted to running zipties like one reviewer mentioned but it wouldn't be a bad idea. I did gently deflect the sides a tiny bit on the housing that has the tabs so that there is a better "snap" when attaching the lower piece which seemed to help. Overall I like the lights. I did notice a slight momentary flicker a couple of times on a couple of units after they were installed. They should not do this since they are LED, and I haven't seen it repeated, so that was a bit unnerving. I will continue to install more and update review if HD permits me to.

Ordered 12... 2 did not operate correctly and you don't figure that out until you mount it up and hit the switch. The light produced is nice and bright on the ones that do work

Very bright and easy to instal

Was quite pleased with the light. You will need to "hard wire" it. That is, there is no cord for you to plug in. I took an older extension cord rated for 12, cut the female end off, and wired that to the light. The light hangs in a shop from a high ceiling. I used chain to hang the light. To fasten the light to my chain, I used 9" Everbilt Tent Stakes, and then bent one end to slide in to the chain.

HOLY BRIGHT BATMAN!! I used to have three 8' fluorescent in my 20x30 garage. Moved to another house and needed something fast, so I went with just one of these. Glad I did!! This ONE 8' 90 watt LED strip out performed my last garage I had with the three 8' fluorescent dual tubes!! I don't even need another one! Super slim, super light, easy to install.. looks great! LOVE IT!! (adding a picture - we haven't fully moved in yet, but even with all the boxes still, the entire garage as you can see is well lit!)

Excellent lights, very easy to install even when you have to do it by yourself. more than enough lighting for my 2 car garage but I really like it. The only negative can say about these lights is they are a little pricey at $89 each but on the other hand they are super easy to install.

I installed this unit in the back office area of my wife's retail business to replace an 8 foot fluorescent fixture. The unit is non-dimmable, but provides a great light output to brighten up any good sized shop area. I mounted my unit on a 1x4 board and I used eye bolts to suspend the fixture from the ceiling using chains. I also purchased an identical 4 foot fixture, mounted that also on a 1x4 board and used eye bolts and chains to suspend that from the ceiling in a different area. This installation approach provides a good solid surface for mounting and suspending the fixture. I have good peace of mind knowing the fixture is stable, safe and secure. Overall, it has been a great fixture and provides a bright, and upgraded light output that was badly needed in the business. I would highly recommend this fixture for garage, warehouse, long hallway or similar applications.

Very easy to wire and bright.

I bought one of these yesterday and installed it in my very dark basement (90 year old house, low ceiling, pipes wires etc. are exposed). I already have three 4' double T12 fixtures but wanted to add more light. This fixture literally 'outshines' the rest (pun intended) and I am on my way back to Home Depot to get another one. Very bright light and 4100K light temperature is very white but not blinding (which I find 5000K lights to be a bit much. I also like the fact that it is rated for damp location (my basement has a sump pump if that tells you anthing) and is more compact, which allows me to sneak it in between the obstacles on the ceiling. Time will tell how it holds up.

We used this new LED fixture in a customer's garage. Easy to install and they provide good light. You can gang them together to create a single line of lights.

These lights are perfect for lighting my 2 car garage. I installed the first 2 only to find out 1 section of the lights was inoperable. I checked all wiring and was unable to get it working so I had to uninstall the whole light, go back to home depot, exchange the light, bring it back, and re-install it. The light is bright and more than adequate for a 2 car garage. I recommend this product but keep in mind you may have to make an additional trip to Home Depot for its replacement.
