Easy installation
This dimmer switch was easy to install. It is replacing a single pole switch to add dimming to a new kitchen light fixture I recently installed. My house was built in the early 1960’s ao there are only two wres in the orginal switch box. The instructions for this dimmer switch explained all I needed to know to install it. The dimmer switch is wider than the original single pole switch but it fit the wall box fine. The dimmer switch included wire nuts, mounting screws and the faceplate. Everything Ineeded to install it except the tools. Oh yeah, no neutral wire needed

    great switches
I love these switches and have slowly swapped over most of the switches in my home to these. the dimmer works great and isn't gimicky with any apps required. sure you lose programming or select features, but this is just a timeless and easy to use switch that looks great

Be aware it doesn’t come with plate
I purchased the same switch before and it came with the plastic plate. This time they excluded the plates. Also my dimmable LED light makes weird noises when dimming the switch. Overall: low quality, high price, and no plastic plates. Very disappointed.

Installing 3 together requires a hack
Good product, works well with Halo LED flush mount ceiling lights. Only problem is installing them as a 3 switch assembly. You can't get them close enough together to seat properly into a 3 switch faceplate. I had to bend the little metal wings on the side to get them to fit. I didn't see anything in the instructions about this so it felt like a hack. Once I bent the wings it fit fine.

I used the Lutron 3-way Diva led+Dimmer switch on my kitchen lights. It works to permit all lights to turn on a low light which is great for in the morning when you are waking up! It helps to calibrate the lights by using the adjustment slider inside the switch, this enable all lights to turn on at the minimum slider setting and is a very good feature of this device. If you do not make this calibration, maybe one or two lights could initially remain off at the minimum power slider setting. Make sure you perform this calibration check before screwing on the fixture cover plate. Only one switch like this can be used on circuits with 2 switches. Overall rating on 4 because I perceive these switches a little expensive.

Excellent product for a 3-pole (two switch) setup running multiple lights. Dimmer works great, and it's nice that it is adjustable. You can only have the dimmer on one of the switches, so the other has to be a 3-pole switch without a dimmer which is fine--and cheaper. If the switches only work in certain positions, then you probably have the traveler wires swapped, or have the common wire misplaced in a traveler spot. The Lutron customer support is excellent; I called them and got walked through troubleshooting everything by an expert that really listened.

This product says it is designed to work with “DIMMABLE LED, CFL, halogen and incandescent bulbs.” I have Ecosmart “DIMMABLE” LED bulbs. But this product only flashes those lights and then dies. Nowhere does the package say to check their website for actual compatibility. That’s in the folded paper instructions. The ones in tiny, tiny font. In other words, the promises are hollow. It’s a crap shoot. Meanwhile, I’ve been in line on their customer support system phone call a LONG time now as I write this, and I called only to ask why I should not post this negative review. They are apologizing by robot. Enough of this company and its thoroughly poor products and service.

In use for a month running LED bulbs in 6 newly installed can lights. I like the location of the dimmer slide and the otherwise "normally look & functionality of the rocker switch. Blends in with adjacent switch. There is plenty of range in the dimmer. The only negative is the typical slightly larger size in the box. The price is a bit high, however if it is durable, it will be worth it.

Have installed many of these. Love them. Some dimmers are not compatible with certain led fixtures (flickering or does not gradually/smoothly dim up or down) but these have not let me down! So far they have worked well with the different led fixtures I've connected them to.

Switch is upside down! Deal breaker for me. Should have read the reviews before buying; too late to return after installed? I recommend the Cooper/Eaton brand dimmers instead. Not sold in HD stores (anymore) but sold online via HD at same price as Lutron, plus the slider on the dimmer is bigger. Lutron's slider is narrow and skinny. I do like how Lutron allows for adjustment of the low setting so it dims really low.

"Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We are sorry to hear this! There are a few things that may be causing a dimmer to work in reverse. If this is single pole, you will want to ensure you are not using the red/white striped wire and it has a single cap on it. If this is in a 3-way, the position of the other switch will determine how this dimmer operates. If you have any future Lutron projects, be sure to check out our new Online Wiring Tool at lutron.com/wiringwizard! Please let us know if you are still having an issue! We are available 24/7 at 844-LUTRON1, so you can call us anytime, day or night. Casey @ Lutron Support"

Dimmer works great with LEDs! I installed the Lutron Dvia DVCL-153PR-WH controlling a chandelier holding 5 candelabra-base dimmable LED bulbs (see pic, and see also my review of the Ecosomart LED, Model # B1160WFILE123P, which I also highly recommend). It was easy to install, but with a couple caveats relative to a "regular" light switch: It's a bit large so make sure you have room in your junction box. Shouldn't be a problem except for very small boxes, or gang boxes packed with wires. It's also capable of being installed as single-pole or 3-way, so read the installation instructions for handling the extra red wire (in addition to the usual black, white, and ground). I installed as a single-pole. It works perfectly, dimming the LEDs from very low to full bright, with no flicker or buzz. The slide switch allows you to set and retain a certain light level, and then use the main rocker switch to turn the fixture on and off. I've installed several Diva dimmers over the years, and I believe they've improved. I've had this installed for about a week.

            Good looks and functionality
Very easy to install. As advertised it took less than 15 minutes per installation, including an online search just to reassure myself on wiring basics. There are no terminals to wrap wires around like on basic switches. You must connect and cap the wires (caps included).  I placed one dimmer on a 3-way and did 2 single poles that both use three 60W dimmable LED bulbs. All 3 were pretty simple. On the 3-way, which connects to LED hallway lights, I now have a millisecond delay from when I hit the switch to when light is generated. Also, the switch is now in the inverted position for on and off, whereas it was correct before I added the dimmer. Fortunately, I can fix that when I add a paddle switch on the 2nd switch. All 3 dimmers provide smooth lighting adjustment and do not slide all the way to the off position. Convenient to return on to last set brightness. Definitely a nice upgrade from old knob switches in both looks and functionality!

Convenient single or three way application
The Lutron Diva 150-Watt Single-Pole/3-Way LED/CFL Dimmer 3-Pack is an excellent product. They have designed it to work in both single pole and three way applications which is extremely convenient. I installed it in both a single pole application and an application that had a mixture of three and four way switches. In both circumstances, I followed the directions which clearly indicate how to wire the switch and had a functioning dimmer on my Feit LED BR30 bulbs. I really appreciate the design because it looks nearly identical to a standard Decora type paddle switch. The dimmer slide is small and to the right side allowing the adjustment to be set and left alone or adjusted when needed. In a 3-way/4-way setup you replace one of the existing 3-way switches. Identify the common wire on the 3-way switch before removing the existing, then wire per the instructions. Once installed any switch in the 3-way/4-way setup will turn the lights on/off at the dimmer level set on the dimmer switch. Another great feature on this product is the dimming adjustment lever. This is helpful because some LED bulbs may need a minimum amount of power to light. You might also need it when you have multiple bulbs on the circuit. Basically, after installing the switch, turn it on and set dimmer level adjustment to minimum and power off/on. If bulbs do not power on, set the adjustment higher and try again. Repeat until you find the right setting for your environment. Something else I believe may be unique to this product is the ability to mix incandescent and CFL/LED bulbs on the same circuit. Under normal circumstances you can have 600 watts of incandescent bulbs or 150 watts of CFL/LED bulbs. When you start mixing the bulbs there are wattage ratios defined in a table of how much of each type you can have. It is a sliding scale, so for example if you have 26-50 watts of CFL/LED bulbs, then you can only have 400 watts of incandescent bulbs. In addition, if you have to remove side tabs for the dimmer to fit in a multi gang box with other switches, then the total amount of wattage is reduced. I assume this is because the side tabs help with heat dissipation. Using the example above, removing tabs from one side drops max wattage from 400 to 300. Removing both side tabs drops the wattage to 200. Lutron also has a website where you can check in advance if the dimmer is compatible with your LED bulb brand/model. They say some models are similar but the switch will only work for sure with the exact model numbers on their site. My Feit bulbs were not listed (a similar model was) but they worked just fine with the dimmer. I should note wiring of this product is via wire nuts as the dimmer has four pigtail wires coming out of it. There are no screw posts for the wires like a standard switch. Also, they have some models of the product that include a cover. This particular model does not include covers. It has three boxes each containing the switch, five wire nuts and two screws for the gang box. Overall I am extremely pleased with the product and recommend it highly.

            Top of the line
Always can count on Lutron for top of the line products, after 30 years of using Lutron products from commercial dimming systems to energy saving systems to the lowly wall mounted dimmers like this always work as they should and last for years. Have to say have used for LED, incandescent, fluorescents, halogen and have always preformed top notch, out of many hundreds I have installed cant remember every have one not work as they should, only failure can ever remember was one that got hit by lightning and lost it and a toaster. Have never used on CFL as I don't care for them. But east install of these three and single pole use don't forget to wire nut the red/white wire, or in 3 way use connect all 4 wires, if installed in a 4 way system (3 or more switch locations) pick one of the 3 way locations (only 3 wires on existing switch, 4 way has 4 wires both w/ground wire) but all work great an very easy to install. Remember turn off power at breaker/fuse, before installing. Sure you all will love Lutron as I do afterwards

Keep it simple. These work for your LEDs.
The Diva line of Lutron dimmers keeps it simple. It discretely looks like a regular decorative rocker type switch. There's no programming, or theater type ramp up or off. No "pilot" lights. It is just a simple switch that works with the new LED lamps. Programming can be useful, but so can simplicity. These are simple and work. I have these on multiple brand LEDs. They work on all of them. I've recently outfitted the entire house with LEDs. I'm so pleased with my new fixtures, and new electric bill. However, there's one issue with many of the new fixtures with integrated LED panels - you can't change the bulb, so you can't change the brightness! Sure, I read the box and tried to anticipate, but sometimes the fixture is just a bit bright. With an old incandescent, you might change a 75 to a 60 and be done with it. It isn't so easy with integrated LED fixtures. Enter the dimmer that works with the LEDs. It has been a life-saver. These Diva switches have a discreet slider. You can set it and forget it. You might even forget it is a dimmer. And that's OK in my book. I installed these on three different circuits: a regular single pole, a 3 way and 4 way. For the regular switch, you just cap off the common extra wire. For the 3 way and 4 way, you have to make sure to get the correct legs connected. This is explained very well in the instructions. The instructions are very comprehensive. And for my 4 way, I had to put this on a 3 way switch (2 of the 3). It cannot be placed on the double-pole 4 way switch. The dimmer still works perfectly for this application. One thing to be aware of: the switch comes with pig tail wires that must be connected with a wire nut (see photo). This can fill up a box a bit more. I would have preferred screw connectors on the switch. But that is more of a preference.

Hey -- it's a light switch! Works great. Dimmer works as advertised. Easy to install.
