It takes 24 hours to loosen the paint. Also, the square footage of coverage listed on the label is for a gallon, even though this is just a quart. Pay close attention or you will have to buy a lot more than what you thought at your first glance.

It did what it was supposed to do. The longer you let it sit, the easier to scrape. What I can say is that it definitely didn’t cover the square footage it said it would. That very well could of been my particular project though, as I had about 5 layers of textured paint on a deck to remove. I ended up buying four buckets of this stuff. Overall, a good product.

I have worked with paint strippers for several decades, and was looking for a product that would remove wood varnish from the interior wood items of my classic Rolls Royce Silver Cloud 3. I cannot adequately describe my disappointment with Multi Strip. Even after several hours, I could not detect any softening of the varnish. Thus, not only was my time wasted, but the cost of the product was a waste as well. No need to put the remainder of the product on a shelf in my shop, because it would only serve to waste shelf space. It will get tossed in the trash, and I will consider it a lesson learned.

Not really impressed with it. Seemed to cause a bigger mess than it was worth as far as I was concerned. Sorry.

Seems to work after multiple applications, this is a French door.

Works better than 3m’s safest stripper. Did a good job stripping varnish or shellac.

Worked perfectly .... stripped my chairs to natural wood!!

I'm stripping old car parts that look like they were hosed down with 20 coats of some awful red/orange color back in the 1970's. Not knowing what was in that, I didn't want to use abrasives and inhale the powder. Plus, I'm lazy and that seemed like a lot of work. So I bought this stuff, and the first application was disappointing--dried out after about 4 hours, and didn't have much effect on the paint. I've got time, so I applied it again thickly, then wrapped it in plastic bags to keep it wet. Walked away, came back 48 hours later & pulled off the plastic, and was literally able to wipe the old paint off with a rag down to bare metal. I can't complain about that. tl,dr--don't bother if you're in a hurry. If you've got a day or two to let it sit, it's great.

Just what I expected!

HATED IT! This product did not work and it smelled SOOOO bad!

I have been working on removing 4 layers of paint from a concrete floor. I bought another brand of stripper the first time that worked ok. I saw this one on the shelf and decided to try it. I am glad I did. It was great! It worked much better than the first one. Some areas did require 2 coats but floor is paint free and ready for tile. I definitely recommend this product.

The directions stated that the stripper should stay on for 2 to 12 hours. We used it on a hot day; it was on for around 2 hours. The stripper dried and was a pain to get off, especially on the non-flat areas. It worked well on the flat areas.

It did not work as I expected. I had to use other products to try and do the job.

This product did exactly what it was supposed to do. Instructions were straight forward and it saved tons of sanding time. Would definitely recommend/use again.

Horrible product for wood stain removal. I put my shavings back in the tub and hope they will reimburse me.

I had some of the other brand that I have used for years. But not enough to complete the job. So, I decided to try this. Holy cow, what a difference! Took off layers of latex over very old varnish down to bare wood. No need to go back and redo spots, like I have to do with the older stuff. Very low odor compared to the solvent based ones. Nice and thick, stays where you put it without dripping. Cleanup is easier, too.

Amazing product. Stripped 3 layers of paint over night. Comes off just like icing on a cake. Just make sure to cake it on heavy.

I used this to remove layers of varnish that were applied to a dining room table about 60 years ago. It worked very well after about 2 hours drying time.

Worked very quickly. Took off many layers of paint from my wooden doors. Impressed with this product.

This happens to be one of the best products that I ever purchased. In fact this is the 2nd time that we have purchased this product. We are currently stripping the 40 year old paint off of the radiator covers and repainting them. This product saves my husband so much time, I highly recommend.
