Great way to “Blast” rust away
I’m doing a vehicle restoration and a lot of the rust I’m coming upon is in very hard to reach places. This product makes it SOOO much easier!! The only drawback is the time needed to soak the parts and the size of the container needed to fit the part. In the pictures you can see the before, after bath, final cleanup with minimal wire brush work and finished painted part. I let it soak for about 12 hours, then turned it over to fit the rest of the piece in my container for another 12 hours.

the time it takes is better over time
really great for cleaning rusty tools, but the rust left in the bath after makes it difficult to judge going the route of abrasives and sanding by power tool. Takes longer, but i have no complaints. The question comes down to if you have the time, the right container, and the post treatment to make it the use of treating rust. post cleaning, wipe metal down to protect it.

Be sure to get Blaster version
I used Rustoleum rust remover in the little bottle with the scrubby attached and it worked well. This is better. It definitely takes longer, but much less scrubbing, plus Rustoleum doesn't make the bottle anymore. The new spray gel is garbage. The metal rescue blaster is a great replacement for Rustoleum. Just let the item soak until the solvent turns black. I use a wire brush to really clean things up. When I bought a second bottle I was expecting to pay $25 but it was $20 and I didn't think it worked as well. Two bottles are the same but the Blaster can he reused where the regular can't be. It's expensive so be sure to get the Blaster for $5 more.

                Best product for Rust
I used Metal Rescue to remove rust from a 1965 (64 year old) License plate. I was blown away from the results and it did not damage the original paint! I let it soak in the solution for 10 hours.

                  Wow! Amazing!
I bought this after trying CLR, Evaporust, naval jelly and others. The picture is after 4 hours of soaking. Its down to the good metal again without scrubbing, sanding or anything

This stuff is pretty amazing. I used it to restore various parts of a bike I was rebuilding, many of which were rusted pretty heavily, but since it was an old buike replacement parts were hard to come by. Although this product is a bit pricey, it was cheaper than buying new parts, lasted a really long time, and worked better than I could have imagined. The picture is of one of the wheels that was rough at the beginng, but came out looking great...,

Had some saw blades that got left out in the rain and had rusted. I put them in a pan and let them soak overnight . After rinsing them off they looked almost like new again.

I used this product on an old rusty chrome bicycle frame and other chrome parts and it removed 99.999% of the rust. Great stuff definitely will buy more for any future products. I liked the image on the bottle if the sprocket half rusted and half clean thats what caught my eye. Nothing to dislike.
