Very impressed with this product
I have installed a few different floors in my house (vinyl, laminate) that I have been satisfied with. But this Malibu wide plank in the rincon color is on a a whole different quality level. I got an incredibly good deal on these and got enough to replace the carpet in a bedroom. These went together so easy, and with my table saw I was able to work quickly and get it down with no issues. The different included lengths made it easy to stagger.. No splintering, no wood putty needed. The floor feels good, looks good, and sounds good. My only issue is having inferior floors in the rest of my house.

Great flooring. Buy 15% more if you want to match the planks. We choose less grainy ones and lighter ones so bought 25 boxes and returned 3 after sorting through for the best ones. Do the installation yourself. Planks are solid and have good straight edges. Save $4000+ (especially in the Seattle area). Took some time to find the T-moulding. Bought 8 mouldings and returned 7. Best we found and real close match is the American Hickory Alabaster solid wood. (TMOLCBH006). Another close one is the American Hickory Vestibule. Zamma no longer makes the French Oak Rincon.

Industry standard for cuts, anything visual you do not want in your floor is approx. 5-7% cull/waste factor, and with your detail in selecting gorgeous natural Hardwood Color and Grain variation you prefer, in your approx. 550 Square Foot Installation you were around 10-12% Cull/waste factor. A new Molding Supplier "Roppe" is in process of onboarding all Malibu Wide Plank Hardwood Coordinating moldings (Quarter Round, Reducer, T-Mold, Stair Nose) that will be available for purchase online or in store Special Order by the end of March 2021. An alternative would be to purchase UNFINISHED White Oak Moldings, take a medium tone (light, medium, dark planks choose the middle color range) flooring plank to develop a custom stain that will coordinate with the flooring, then stain and finish the moldings as needed. Best product for the price
Was looking for a matte finish floor to go with the modern industrial design of my home. Got pricing from various distributors, this was by the far the best for the product I was looking for. Very satisfied.

Disappointed!
I just had a new cottage built and used the French Oak Salt Creek tongue and groove for the entire home. It looks beautiful and is exactly the width and color I wanted. However, after moving in I was wiping it up and discovered that the edges are splintering between at least 30% of the boards. With cooler weather, I found that socks catch on the boards and I got a huge splinter. It is to the point that I can't let my little granddaughter crawl across the floor, and I have put tape across the worst spots so I can walk around them. It also scratches very easily and I am very careful. In all the decisions that went into building a home this flooring was the only mistake.

PERFECT COASTAL, FARMHOUSE LOOK!!
Oh my goodness!! All I can say is... WOW, pure perfection!! These Malibu Mavericks floors are absolutely stunning in person. Everyone who sees them comments on how amazing & beautiful they are. They're excellent for achieving a clean coastal, farmhouse look. So far we've ordered 1 pallet and 26 cases with another 5 cases to be ordered when it's back in stock. Out of all that flooring, we only had issues with a handful of boards but were able to use them as cuts here and there. Absolutely nothing's gone to waste! Install was a breeze, very easy to get boards together. I'm a 47 year old, completely inexperienced floor installing woman, who did it with her 24 year old son. Neither of us has ever laid hardwood flooring before so we you-tubed the crap out of how to do it and just went to town! It's oak so it's incredibly durable and should stand the test of time. Overall, I can't recommend it enough, BUY IT... you won't be disappointed and you won't regret it!

We purchased a large amount of this product last year. We have been very pleased with it, and even the installer said that is was a great product. This year, we ordered more to do additional areas of the house, and were pleased to see that the new material matched the old. We had called the company prior to reordering, and their customer service person was very helpful.
From a cosmetic standpoint, the the planks do not have a lot of color variation, so the floor is consistent but looks like planks finished in place. The surface is not smooth and dust can be a bit of a challenge to get out. Obviously, not enough of a problem to prevent me from reordering. It has held up well, and shows little wear. The top layer is thick enough to refinish once or twice, but not sure that would be advisable given the texture of the surface. However, it would make repairs easy. Very pleased with the product.

I purchased the Rincon 1/2 inch flooring (there are 2 options and this was the wider longer plank option). I was lucky enough to get the pallet on sale and am very satisfied with the value overall. There is a lot of variance in the colors of the boards, so if that suits your taste I think you will like them. I wanted a light and casual look since I'm near the beach, so I'm happy with the outcome.

Bought the Rincon Malibu wide planks and installed them ourselves using glued floating floor application. I am pleased with the results. We wanted the lightest color flooring for our small house without going white. The only reason I did not give this a 5 star rating is because the sides and back have many splinters and slivers and wearing gloves is a must or you will get splinters in your hands. And I swept up many splinters after installation. I would recommend this product just use caution when installing yourself.

We replaced the dark laminate that came with the house we purchased with a lighter, brighter Rincon Malibu Planks. We started off with three rooms and a hallway, but when the price of the plank went on sale at a better savings we decided to do the rest of the house. With the planks width at 7 and a half inches you can cover more space for your time. The floor did brighten up the rooms and looks great. My only negative comment would be some splintering when making your cuts. Overall, we're definitely pleased with the floor.

The product came and we were very happy with the color and appearance. Install was easy and turned out incredible! We are very happy with the width of the planks and loved the variance with the lengths as well. The color pops really nicely and was the perfect shade of tan for our house, not as pale as the product pictures made it seem (see our photos). Overall very happy with how it turned out!!

The color was very consistent (looks a lot like walnut) and appears to be very durable. Floored my entire new home, except for bath rooms and have had nothing but great compliments on its' appearance.

There are a couple of things that prevent a 5 star rating. First, I ordered the French Oak Rincon and
the color of this flooring is lighter than the samples provided at home depot store. But maybe the color will darken over time but for new planks there is definitely a color difference under the same lighting. Second, the edge of some planks can splinter rather easily.
Having said that, this is an excellent value for hardwood floor if you catch it on sale and I would totally recommend this product at the right price. For me it beats out some of the engineering hardwood that use MDF. The cut creates a finer grain than other types of cuts.

I was excited to finally find this more affordable option. It looks beautiful, and the beachy look and feel I was going for! The cons for me are: I'd like a little more gloss. They are *very* matte, so if you want that, youre in luck. Also, I'd go through the pieces first, as some are darker and have a bit more grain. It just depends on what you like.I don't understand why HD doesn't have samples in the store. This was highly frustrating, and for that reason why we ordered a box of this and another color. I recommend doing so rather than ordering straight off the site. Also, check the Malibu wideplank site. There are short videos showing flooring. Still, you really won't know until you have it in your hands. Good luck!

These floors were recently installed and are breathtaking. They are simply stunning. The floors inject a California feel into the home, and add a sense of open brightness. They are a pleasure to walk on. They have an Anthropologie-vibe to them that I just love. Extremely pleased with this purchase so far. The picture I am posting does not even begin to do these floors justice.

I was looking for affordable floors for my AirBnB. I needed something to blend with my existing terrazzo - this is a mid-century modern. I was hesitant to order from Home Depot for something so important. But I am so glad I did. The only tiny criticism is that the transition pieces are a different color than the floor, but otherwise, A+. My contractor found it super easy to install. I put radiant heat underneath. The floor is just as I envisioned! Very little waste per carton! Quite lovely and a great value. I did a ton of research and looked at lots of flooring that was twice as expensive. Yes!

We installed this flooring throughout our 1,800 square ft. fix and flip except for the kitchen where we installed tile. It is beautiful! I believe it contributed to our successful one day sale, not to mention the wonderful smell of the flooring and the "new wood" scent lasting for months!!

We had 3 different hardwood floors and carpet in our home. And January 2018 decided to update with a cohesive color scheme and hardwood flooring. We did it ourselves and slowly painted each room before laying down the new hardwood flooring. We feel in love with the Malibu wide planked floors and the French Oak Baker 7 1/2 x 1/2 size. The color has a slight grey overtone that we haven't seen before. And we love that it is very new and current. We nailed down, which seemed less messy than gluing and with the wide planks, we are able to cover a room pretty quickly. Granted we were only working on the weekends at our own pace. And more than pleased with the final look.

We had this installed by a professional about a year ago. At first I really didn't like the matte finish look of the flooring. It has grown on me over the year and now I really like the look. I love the wide width, the solid construction of the engineered hardwood, and so far, the durability. Our guests make nice comments about the flooring. I have self installed multiple laminates and engineered hardwoods and I have to admit, I like this flooring the best.

I’ve had the floor installed for a year now and it’s held up nicely against my cat, dog, and kid. Great value. One thing to note: make sure your house has proper humidity levels for this wood.
