Before I purchased I did lots of research on different brands for which appliance would be the best. I even asked around and most people said Maytag. After research I found out that Maytag is one of the best brands. I can certainly tell why. They are quite machines and I feel they get clothes cleaned very well and fast! So far I have no complaints about them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Maytag front load washing machine all this times. Performance is okay but quality of the machine, I'm not happy with it.the outer tub does not last very long and too costly to have it replace.

I am pleased with the purchase, it’s very quiet and it washes with less amount of time, the appearance also fits perfectly to my home

Great machine the only flaw on the Maytag 6630 is no access to the filter screen all other machines have a door at the bottom to get to the clean out screen Take out the extra warranty! I had to replace the control board after 3 yers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently purchased my washer to match a dryer purchased 3 months ago. Both products are awful. The machine is high maintenance. The washer is cheaply built, when cycle is finished there is much water on the door which requires a “wipe down” ( now I have something g else to clean!)as well as requiring me to wipe down the gasket seal.However, the machine is very quite. I’m not sure when it really begins to wash. The dryer is equally poorly built. Additional, every load requires extra time to dry. I’m quite tired of having to continue adding time but the laundry is always damp if I do not. The lint screen is flimsy and most of the lint falls into the machine requiring more clean-up time.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Very disappointed with the lack of power this washer has. The clothes are still partially wet on a high spin compared to our last Maytag washer. It has also quit spinning when the load wasn’t even full.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this washer a couple of months ago and it is great ! It saves water because it adjusts to the size and weight of the load and the spin leaves the wash almost dry when it comes out. Saves hydro with less drying time.

Two things I don't like about the washer - it requires you to hold the start button for 3 seconds before it starts - I want to be able to just hit the start button and it starts! I can see having this option for parents but I don't have children so I think it should be an option that you can turn off. It may only be 3 seconds but it's a nuisance! I also don't like that the machine doesn't shut off when the cycle ends. It makes a noise when the cycle finishes and the display shows 'END' but efficiency / electricity wise, it should just shut off.

This is my second Maytag unit,the first one I had was the Neptune that lasted over 15 years so when it came time to get a new unit, I went back to Maytag. And I’ll be honest at first I love this unit but overtime. I’m so disappointed in it, the dispenser for the soap and other liquids has always been an issue, the soap unit dispenses too much soap, so the clothes have to be re-washed, then there is the issue that the unit leaks and has been replaced twice now but because of it leaking it now has destroyed the finish from the inside of the front face of the washer and I was told that that’s cosmetics and not covered under warranty so I would think twice about buying this unit as it doesn’t hold up overtime. But I will say I’ve had nothing but good things to say about the dryer.

From the time of the delivery, this second washer is already acting up. The fabric softener dispenser is full of water after each wash. I have already called Whirlpool requesting service. I am so disappointed with this Maytag model. I really wish I could have my money reimbursed so I could buy another brand name washer. I want to add that my dryer (it was a bundle purchase) had to have the motor and vent replaced. It’s been a horrible experience with the purchase of my washer and dryer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Way too early to rate the Maytag set I got just this month, so I am reviewing the Maytag set I bought in 2010. The Washer MHWE450W went over 12 years without needing any maintenance and never smelled. The Dryer MEDE500W needed new rollers after 5 years and then caught fire last month. It was not a lint fire, but an electrical fire in the control board. I ended up replacing both appliances with similar Maytag appliances.

The Maytag front loader is quiet and well balanced plus the clothes seem so clean when taking them out. I line dry most of my clothes and they are not wrinkled and dry quickly. Only regret is not replacing the unit sooner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had my new Maytag set only a short time,so far it works really good and so quite,the only thing I didn’t like is it didn’t have a choice for a manual time set for wash,everything is Pre programmed from 15 minutes up to 2 1/2 hours,so my bad for not looking closer to the setting and how they work

The Maytag washer has many different cycles and works great even at lower temperatures. It has a 4.8 cu. ft. capacity which we find sufficient to wash comforters, blankets, and sheets all together. It uses high efficiency detergent and has a mark for maximum amount allowed. We use fragrance free liquid detergent and had no trouble so far. We absolutely love the 16 hr fresh hold function. We frequently forget to remove the clothes after a cycle ends as life comes up somewhere else in the house, and this will save us from many rewashes. The fresh cycle on this washer circulates air, and tumbles the clothes every now and then keeping them fresh for 16 hours. The machine is relatively quiet and does not vibrate too much or move around when fast-spinning. It has steam and extra-power functions for heavy stains. It has a user-friendly control panel that includes a child/control lock. The “clean washer” setting is a nice feature for a front load, which in our experience will eventually get stinky no matter what you do. Periodically (the machine will remind you), you can run the machine on this setting with an “affresh” product (or presumably with vinegar) to clean the machine itself. It also has a steam function and a sanitize cycle, especially for towels, to revive them and rid them of that dreaded mildew smell, without adding extra scented products. The manual describes everything from installation to maintenance and troubleshooting, but does not explain the cycles and what they do, perhaps it is presumed to be common knowledge. Overall, it’s a great washer that we are hoping to use for many years to come.

This Maytag washing machine in volcano black almost matches my Maytag dryer in granite grey, as you can see by the picture. The water and drain hookups are easy to attach to the back of the washer. There are leveling legs on the bottom that are easy to adjust with the use of channel lock pliers. The control panel is easy and straightforward to use, my wife loves the simplicity of it. The washer washes clothes clean on the first wash so you won’t have to rehash your clothes. The washer can have a dryer stacked on top of it with the appropriate stacking kit, which you can get on line.

We were looking to style up our home, while also looking to maximize the space we had in our laundry room. We previously had a top load washer, along with the basic front load drier. We came across the Volcano Black Maytag 4.8 cu. ft. Front Load Washer. Not only did this allow us to stack the new Maytag dryer on top, it allowed us to utilize the extra space to the right of the two units. So far these two are working great and I will tell you it I less back breaking unloading the dryer. One of the great features we love is the extra power button which helps to get the items of clothes that need a little more fighting power. As most washers the Maytag washer has dual temperature settings, along with a quick wash cycle which is great when you just want to freshen something up. Since my wife and I leave for work early in the morning we try to put a load on first thing, and then dry the clothes in the afternoon. The 16-Hr Fresh Hold option, helps keep clean clothes smelling fresh for up to 16 hours after wash cycles end. The washer came with all the hoses which allowed me to set the unit up myself within a few minutes.

I love this washer and dryer although I do wish the dials were at the bottom of the dryer unit instead of the top. We had to stack them, we don’t t have a very big laundry room, and mud room. I bought a little step ladder to adjust the dials when needed because I’m so short. Even my husband who's taller than me , he’s 5.7, still can’t reach the dials. We’ve only had them since September 25 so haven’t had them long enough to say they are perfect but right now I’m loving them. I’ve used most of the dial settings and so far so good. They are so quite, the installers did a great job, they don’t shake, they are solid, well made for sure, they are totally balanced and even but could be because we did our own laundry room floor so we knew it was solid and level. Hahah. But they are level because the installers knew what they were doing and my husband also helped the installers and he also knows how to level them and installed the gas for us because he was a HVAC teacher/ professor and installer. So let’s just say if they last 30 years like my old ones I’ll be truly happy. Although they will probably out live me, I’m 70. Hahaha.

Hi we have a stackable front load Maytag in our in-law suite and purchased a different brand for the house. Have been having issues with the non-Maytag washer for a couple of months and never really cared for it because it was a top load. Last month, we purchased another Maytag front load and upsized to the 4.8 for the new washer and it has plenty of room for a king size comforter, which the other other Maytag could handle but the extra space is appreciated.Can’t wait to upgrade the dryer, so I have a matching washer and dryer. Bought the first Maytag, before we bought the non-Maytag, and haven’t had any trouble with the Maytag, and pray that it stays that way!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After two months of use I discovered a piece of the rubber door seal had broken off causing water to leak from the door. Now after a month, I am still awaiting for the replacement part via the Maytag authorized dealer. In the meantime I am having to place towels at the leak point to mop up water when the machine is in use.
