Rusting screw
There are rust particles in the dispenser area. Is the dispenser removable? How do I fix this?

First Time Maytag Owner
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had my new Maytag set only a short time,so far it works really good and so quite,the only thing I didn’t like is it didn’t have a choice for a manual time set for wash,everything is Pre programmed from 15 minutes up to 2 1/2 hours,so my bad for not looking closer to the setting and how they work

Granite Front Loader Washer

Quiet and has many features, love the 16hr fresh hold and sanitize functions
The Maytag washer has many different cycles and works great even at lower temperatures. It has a 4.8 cu. ft. capacity which we find sufficient to wash comforters, blankets, and sheets all together. It uses high efficiency detergent and has a mark for maximum amount allowed. We use fragrance free liquid detergent and had no trouble so far. We absolutely love the 16 hr fresh hold function. We frequently forget to remove the clothes after a cycle ends as life comes up somewhere else in the house, and this will save us from many rewashes. The fresh cycle on this washer circulates air, and tumbles the clothes every now and then keeping them fresh for 16 hours. The machine is relatively quiet and does not vibrate too much or move around when fast-spinning. It has steam and extra-power functions for heavy stains. It has a user-friendly control panel that includes a child/control lock. The “clean washer” setting is a nice feature for a front load, which in our experience will eventually get stinky no matter what you do. Periodically (the machine will remind you), you can run the machine on this setting with an “affresh” product (or presumably with vinegar) to clean the machine itself. It also has a steam function and a sanitize cycle, especially for towels, to revive them and rid them of that dreaded mildew smell, without adding extra scented products. The manual describes everything from installation to maintenance and troubleshooting, but does not explain the cycles and what they do, perhaps it is presumed to be common knowledge. Overall, it’s a great washer that we are hoping to use for many years to come.

EXCELLENT WASHING MACHINE
This Maytag washing machine in volcano black almost matches my Maytag dryer in granite grey, as you can see by the picture. The water and drain hookups are easy to attach to the back of the washer. There are leveling legs on the bottom that are easy to adjust with the use of channel lock pliers. The control panel is easy and straightforward to use, my wife loves the simplicity of it. The washer washes clothes clean on the first wash so you won’t have to rehash your clothes. The washer can have a dryer stacked on top of it with the appropriate stacking kit, which you can get on line.

Stackable and Stylish!
We were looking to style up our home, while also looking to maximize the space we had in our laundry room. We previously had a top load washer, along with the basic front load drier. We came across the Volcano Black Maytag 4.8 cu. ft. Front Load Washer. Not only did this allow us to stack the new Maytag dryer on top, it allowed us to utilize the extra space to the right of the two units. So far these two are working great and I will tell you it I less back breaking unloading the dryer. One of the great features we love is the extra power button which helps to get the items of clothes that need a little more fighting power. As most washers the Maytag washer has dual temperature settings, along with a quick wash cycle which is great when you just want to freshen something up. Since my wife and I leave for work early in the morning we try to put a load on first thing, and then dry the clothes in the afternoon. The 16-Hr Fresh Hold option, helps keep clean clothes smelling fresh for up to 16 hours after wash cycles end. The washer came with all the hoses which allowed me to set the unit up myself within a few minutes.

Washer and gas dryer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the washer and dryer after 30 years with our Frigidaire combo. I love this washer and dryer although I do wish the dials were at the bottom of the dryer unit instead of the top. We had to stack them, we don’t t have a very big laundry room, and mud room. I bought a little step ladder to adjust the dials when needed because I’m so short. Even my husband who's taller than me , he’s 5.7, still can’t reach the dials. We’ve only had them since September 25 so haven’t had them long enough to say they are perfect but right now I’m loving them. I’ve used most of the dial settings and so far so good. They are so quite, the installers did a great job, they don’t shake, they are solid, well made for sure, they are totally balanced and even but could be because we did our own laundry room floor so we knew it was solid and level. Hahah. But they are level because the installers knew what they were doing and my husband also helped the installers and he also knows how to level them and installed the gas for us because he was a HVAC teacher/ professor and installer. So let’s just say if they last 30 years like my old ones I’ll be truly happy. Although they will probably out live me, I’m 70. Hahaha.
