Initally I found this product to be grea to work with. Easy to adjust the sprinkler head. Ulitimately, the posts always break around the one thid point below the head. This means they will not stay in the ground long after a broken post. Its a terrible flaw! I have had three break already. The only reason I reordered is because of the great function of the head!

I like this all metal sprinkler. It rotates nicely and even oscillates at lower pressure unlike the plastic sprinklers that look the same. I hope it lasts for more than one season since the plastic ones don't last (springs wear out or plastic parts break off). The one thing that has really annoyed me with this all metal sprinkler is that the metal spike has bent on its own. It must be from the shaking since the ground is not hard or rocky. I can't recommend this based on the price verses longevity so far.

This was my 2nd order of this sprinkler; I was soo satisfied with this model that I bought more to complete my garden sprinkler system. I used 1/2 inch x 10 foot metal conduit driven in 4 foot deep in each corner of garden to attain best water coverage.

The cheap metal used in the post that goes in the ground broke with the first use. Pulsating mechanism works fine.

I have an old Craftsman tripod sprinkler stand that the sprinkler head had seen it's final days. Bought the Melnor metal pulsating sprinkler and removed the stake portion and it fit perfectly on the old Craftsman tripod. Working like a champ again.

After 2nd or 3rd use, the spike broke off the base of the sprinkler while in use.

This was replacement for a broken one.

This is lifetime guaranteed, so I expected to have it for my lifetime. It bent on the first push into the ground. Granted we have hard clay soil which was dry, but that is why I needed a sprinkler. The top of the sprinkler was good and may have lasted, but we needed it in the ground.

3 of 4 of them leak or stopped turning and keep getting stuck. They haven't even made it 2 weeks.

Sprinkler head worked fine but spike broke off at the top day one in some not very hard soil. Be prepared to be requied to be very careful when moving it and you will still probably have to buy replacement spikes.

I bought these because our lab kept chewing up the plastic ones. They're great! Dog stopped messing with them.

Get the metal with lifetime guaranty. I have plastic too which failed within a month. I will say that the warranty dept is EXCELLENT.-replaced the broken one without a problem!

he materials of construction are great. However, I am not sure why but after a few uses it stopped rotating. Could be th spring but I tried and just stays in one location.

The sprinkler works well as long as the pressure is high enough. If the pressure drops then it just sprays in one place. The pressure is not that low when it quits turning.

Works great , purchased so I could water down behind our house in case of brush fire.

This requires more water pressure to keep it moving than a similar light weight plastic sprinkler. We thought we were getting a heavy-duty device that would last a long time, but it just won't work here in our residential application.

Barely puts out water at all. Other sprinklers on same hose work great. Worthless, am going to return.
