Set it on 100 gallons and it never moves. ...
Set it on 100 gallons and it never moves. NOT very accurate. Watered my garden for several weeks with it set on 600 gallons before it moved to 500 gallons. We water daily.

We wanted to monitor time to about 5 minutes and...
We wanted to monitor time to about 5 minutes and volume to about 10 gallons. The meter's minimums are 1/2 hour and 100 gallons and these are inaccurate. We'd like to return it. Please tell us how.

Simply take your purchase back to any Home Depot and get your money back instantly or exchange for something else. Be sure to bring a copy of your receipt or shipping confirmation email, credit card you used for the item and valid I.D.

Performs as it should, however creates a huge water hammer bang when it shuts off!
The flow meter works as it should however i cant use it because it shuts off so fast it produces a loud water hammer sound and it triggers my anti-siphon function on my hose bibb and water gushes out everywhere at the anti-siphon vent. I also concerned the water hammer in my pipes my break something loose. I am returning this flow meter and only look for one that states slow closing maybe.

This meter is special in that it shuts off water...
This meter is special in that it shuts off water after the set "volume" of water has flown. It is different from others in those "time" is the setting parameter. Not that many available for this kind (I could not find any other). I use this before water hose so if the host bursts I don't have to worry about wasting a lot of water and the flood.

The flow meter is great for a regular sprinkler or extensive drip system - just spin it on and walk away knowing the water will shut off.
However when hooked up to a small drip system the water movement isn't enough to activate the flow mechanism and so it never shuts off.

I use this to meter the water from the outdoor faucet to fill my pool. These are the only ones that meter in volume vs. time. They're not very durable so don't leave them out if a freeze is eminent and be careful not to torque on them too much as they can crack and leak.
