The SAE and Metric sockets included with this set are 6-point, standard depth sockets with square sides. The sockets firmly attach to the ratchet. Sizes on these are a good fit. Due to the square drive housings a good grip is also possible with a wrench. The included ratchet features a 90-tooth design which is a real help especially in tight spaces. The tray holding the entire set can be removed from the case for storage in a tool box if needed. All in all a great addition to my tool box.

Milwaukee Tool has done it again with the new Anti-Roll design of their 1/4" Drive SAE/Metric Ratchet & Socket Mechanics( 25 piece) Tool Set. The sockets are anti-roll, and wrench ready. There standard SAE, and Metric sizes. The sizes are stamped on the sockets, and the case. The wrench has a 4 degree arch swing. The wrench with its 90 tooth design makes it easy to go from on-to-off without having to stop work, or switch hands. The rachet also has a slim profile head, and flush directional lever. It is comfortable to use, and fits perfectly in my hand. It comes with a 3" extension. The case has a slide to right latch to close, and slide to left to open. It is easy to open and close unlike other cases I have had. The case has depth under the sockets to store extra tools, or paperwork. It worked on my rusted screw great, good grab. It stayed on the edge of my fountain without rolling down into the bowl. This is another exceptional product from Milwaukee Tool backed up by a Lifetime Warranty. I highly recommend the upgrade.

If my socket is on a nut or bolt head, and if the possible angle isn't perfect, or if the nut is slightly stripped, I would use nothing less than a 6-point socket; never a 12-point. The thirteen SAE sockets & 14 Metric sockets included with this set are 6-point, standard depth sockets with square sides. If it is not possible to get a rachet on one of these sockets, a good grip is possible with a wrench. The included rachet features a 90-tooth design which translates into a 4-degree arc swing. This is a real help especially in tight spaces. The tray holding the entire set is easily removed from the case for storage in a tool box. Personally, I prefer to keep the tray in the case for quick transport.

First time using it ratchet broke!! DO NOT BURN YOUR MONEY ON THIS JUNK!!

Just to cut straight to the point, I'm listing some of the critical things with this set first. 1: The knurling on the extensions is not good. I have a Husky branded socket drive extension set with far superior knurling. The Milwaukee knurling is not cross-hatched, only vertical. Your fingers will slip easily. 2: The short sockets are not very deep. Again, I have a far superior short socket set from Craftsman. However, those are 12-point, these Milwaukees are 6-point. Which is better. 3. A universal joint adapter is not included with the 1/2" drive. Bummer. 4: The grip on the drives is not as ergonomic as on some others I've felt. My craftsman is far more comfortable to use. 5. None of the drives come with a 10" extension. All that being said, this is a good set. The advantage being that it provides nearly all the sizes one would need in a compact and attractive design. The socket design is absolutely brilliant. Having flats gives you so many more options to work with with the added benefit that your 10mm won't go rolling away never to be found again. The removable sets fit nicely in my Husky roller chest and look absolutely great.

Quality, but if you want that, you pay more. With the screwdrivers thrown in deal not too high priced.

Milwaukee outdid themselves again! the nicest set I've ever gotten. feels heavy and very high quality. The case and that is spot on!

Very nice socket set. Ratchets are very heavy and have a nice feel to them. Case is nice and compact without a ton of extra blow molding so it fits almost anywhere.

Great quality set with a perfect case to take them anywhere when not stored in a tool chest. Stores well in the tool chest too.Nice, square shape on one end to prevent the sockets from rolling away and ratchets work smoothly and nicely so far in the last two months of use. Highly recommend and meets expectations completely, would be nice to have the 1/2" set also to complete the set.

The quality is definitely above average and the 4 degree swing works well in tight spaces. At height is where the no roll sockets shine. As a industrial mechanic that feature is invaluable. Only wish that the tray would fit in the half sized packout like the standard set

i was super happy wirh the customer service i received at the el monte ca store normally i go to the closest one by my house but they did not have this in stock. And ever time i try to match online price they tell me that they can't but this time Fernando assistant manager made my day he gave me the online price then gave me a 10% off and then he said just give to him for 80 so i paid 81 out the door with taxes what a good customer service experience i drove 9mile so worth it but never again will i spend another dollar at the homedepot by my place they have the worst customer service in west covina ca.

Another quality product from the people at Milwaukee that is built to last a lifetime. This heavy duty set comes in a nice inner storage case for your tool box or it can stay in the portable carrying case. The laser engraving makes it easy to read the socket sizes. The chrome finish also makes them easy to clean. The thing I really like about these sockets are the 4 flat sides to keep them from rolling around and making them easier to grip with a wrench. A great socket set for the homeowner or professional.

The Milwaukee 1/2 inch drive SAE ratchet and socket mechanics tool set is well made. It comes with 1/2 through 15/16 inch shallow and deep well sockets. Three additional shallow well sockets of 1 inch, 1 and 1/16 and 1 and 1/8 inch sizes round out the set. The surface of the ratchet and sockets is a highly polished mirror finish demonstrating excellent quality one would expect from the Milwaukee brand. I like the large thumb lever for direction change. One feature missing is a push button release for the socket from the ratchet, but otherwise hits the mark. The large numbers showing the socket size is a plus to assist old eyes in finding the correct selection. The square shoulders of the sockets provide for avoiding the dreaded "roll away" when you place it on an uneven surface. The square shoulder also provides for using a wrench to turn the socket in the event you are tight on space and the ratchet will not fit in the space provided. The set comes with a couple of extensions to increase the reach when needed.

This Milwaukee 1/2 in. Drive SAE/Metric Ratchet and Socket Mechanics Tool Set is an impressive set to own. Comes in a large flat rugged, but slim case like most all Milwaukee tools do. The case has durable latches and there`s an inner lift-out tray that holds all the contents in place whether its stored in a mechanics cabinet drawer or on a flat surface. All the sockets have the measurements engraved on them on both sides that i can feel and very clearly see. These are squared sockets so they do not roll when im switching them out and put them on an inclined surface, another good thing is that one end is square while the others round so when im pulling it off the ratchet handle it has great grip. Having both the metric and standard size sockets in one kit is a great idea. Also Milwaukee gives you their Lifetime Guarantee on mechanics hand tools where they will replace them -but i doubt you`d need to use it. This set is what iv`e come to expect from Milwaukee.

This is my second socket set from Milwaukee and its just as good as my 1/4 set. One of the unique things about these sockets is that they have a square section as opposed to being all round like traditional sockets. This allows you to use a wrench with them and it also prevents them from rolling away. The ratchet that comes with this set is a 90 tooth which makes for smooth operation. Its not my favorite design but it works well.

This is an incredible ratchet set. First, you get a very high quality case to carry all of these tools in. Next, you'll notice that the 1/2 inch drive is very robust, heavy and made from quality materials to stand up to years of use. The sockets are in metric and standard and are, essentially, every size you'll need for almost any car repairs you might possibly do. The sockets are all squared in the barrel so that you can exert even more torque using a box wrench, if you need to. This is the quintessential "mechanic's set" and you will get many, many years of use of these.

This is a review of Milwaukee's 22 piece SAE 1/2" drive socket set Item #48-22-9410. The positives. Eight deep-well sockets, 1/2 thru 15/16 in 1/16" increments. On all of them, the " deep well", itself 1 1/4" deep, will handle a bolt extending up to 1 1/4" past the nut on all of them. Eleven standard depth [1" deep] sockets, 1/2 thru 1 1/8" in 1/16" increments. Two extensions, 3" and 5". The 6-point sockets are etched with their sizes on opposing sides of the "wrench-ready" flats. Also etched is the part number on each piece. The heads are chamfered to easily accept the drive. The fit and finish of the sockets, the drive, and the extension bars are superb. The fell of the drive's grip is outstanding. The drive is a 90-tooth design so the swing is 4 degrees. The case is as remarkable as the tools. Heavy duty, great clasps The only negatives I can come up with ... why would there ever be a need to take the tray out? An 11 or 12" extension would have been nice. This is an "heirloom" set. Should be around for as long as they make nuts and bolts. For example, the drive weighs in at 1 lb 12 oz. The 15/16" deep-well socket at 7.1 ounces. Compare that to anything you have in the shop. Ratchet is made in Taiwan and everything else comes out of China. Bottom line ... the best set I've ever seen or used. Hands down. And they are "lifetime guaranteed"!

This is an very well made and versatile ratchet and socket set. This ratchet/socket set contains 10 deep-well sockets ranging from 10 millimeter to 19 millimeter. Also included are 15 shallow-well sockets ranging from 10 millimeter to 24 millimeter. The set also includes a 3 inch long and a 5 inch long extension for the 11 1/4 inch long ratchet. Tool components are made from a very solid and rugged chrome plated steel. I was surprised how rugged theses are. Very high quality tool set, and that is important, I always get the highest quality tools that are available, you can’t go wrong with Milwakee tools. To top it off, these are stored in a very strong plastic tool case. Completely happy with these and expect them to last for a very long time.

Milwaukee 1/2 in. Drive SAE/Metric Ratchet and Socket Mechanics Tool Set (47-Piece) I really like the squared sides on these sockets because they are easier to hold with oily hands, they do not roll away on me and I can put a wrench on them when needed, I only wish I had them sooner! The ratchet feels heavy, sturdy and has a couple flat edges plus the 90 tooth ratchet lets me tighten or loosen with less room to swing the handle because each click is closer together than any other ratchets I have ever had also there are groves on the extensions that help hold or turn them. The carrying case is heavy enough to hold up nice and on the inside there is a removable tray that holds the tools and can be placed in your tool cabinet. I would get this again!

This Milwaukee 1/2 Inch Drive SAE Ratchet and Socket Mechanic Tool Set (22 Pieces) is a great starter set for someone like me that needs to maintain my lawnmower, snowblower, and light car mechanics. The 1/2 inch drive gives the extra power needed to remove any nut or bolt. The sockets have a flat four-sidedness that keep them from rolling and their slim profile makes it easier to get into tight spaces. I like that the extenders are knurled, which makes them easier to grip. The ratchet itself has a well balanced feel and is also easy to grip. All in all a good set. Milwaukee has a good reputation and stands behind their product with a lifetime guarantee. A good value.

This review is for Milwaukee 47-piece, 1/2-inch drive, anti-roll, wrench-ready, SAE and metric socket set, product 48-22-9010. This set comes with a tough plastic case with removable storage tray that fits nicely into my rolling steel tool cabinet. The tray itself is clearly marked with all of the socket sizes. I have a strong preference for six-point over 12-point sockets after many years of handyman experience with equipment repairs, this set filling that bill. The drive ratchet functions beautifully, it having a catch each 4 degrees and the benefits of a low profile head. It is a relatively long at 10-3/8 inches between the center of the drive and the end of the handle. The chrome finish for all of the pieces is impressive. A most desirable feature is the fact that all of the sockets have four flat sides to resist rolling, also accepting use of an open-end wrench to boost. The sockets are deeply engraved with their sizes so that they show regardless of dirt and grease. The extensions are knurled for a bit of extra boost capability. Most everything about this six-point socket set exudes quality. This set is backed by a limited lifetime warranty. For replacements, all one needs to do is send an email with part identification (every part is etched with the product number), photo of the part needing replacement plus name and address or to call 1-800-SAWDUST. This is a very welcome addition to my most useful tools collection.

This is a very high-end socket set for higher-torque applications from 10mm to 24mm. The first three things I noticed while handling this set is the heft, the quality machining/chrome finish, and the square design of the sockets to keep them from rolling away. This is clearly a socket set aimed at the professional mechanic or tuner, and will be more than enough for any hobbyist. This set is housed in a heavy plastic storage/carry case and does feature a removable tray should you want to store this set in a drawer or bag. It includes a 9” ratchet with 90 tooth gears and a 4 degree swing, extensions of 3” and 5”, 15 standard-depth sockets from 10mm to 24mm, and 10 deep sockets from 10mm to 19mm. The smoothness of this set cannot be overestimated and the small swing is great for working in tight spaces. I have no reason to believe breaking one of these would be possible, but there's a Lifetime warranty just in case. In my option the quality of this set more than justifies the cost, plus you never, ever go wrong buying Milwaukee.

This 28-piece Milwaukee 1/2 inch Drive Metric Ratchet and Socket Mechanics Tool Set is quite innovative. First, the anti-roll design is genius. Four flat sides at the base of the sockets help stop the sockets from running across the shop floor but, it also allows you to get a wrench on the socket for more torque in those hard to reach places. Now for the finish; I own LOTS of sockets and these have a finish that is very impressive. I also like the socket size stamped on two sides. Furthermore, the case is a nice addition for transportation and even more exciting, you can remove the inner tray from the case and place it in your roll-cart or on a tool box drawer. Milwaukee Tools has set a new standard for a Ratchet and Socket Set. I recently acquired a Milwaukee 1/2-inch Drive SAE Ratchet Set. The Milwaukee tool case for the ratchet set works great. When the case is closed it keeps all sockets, extensions and the ratchet wrench in place even when shaken overhead. Another cool feature is the removable tray inside the case. The tray holds all of the sockets, ratchet and extensions and allows all of these items to be relocated to your upright toolbox for permanent storage. Another design feature I like is that the sockets are designed with a square end. The square end of the sockets keeps them from rolling away when set down on a smooth hard surface. The square end also provides a place to use an open-end wrench on the socket for those funny access situations. The 90-tooth ratchet with a 4° arc swing is best in class and will be valuable when working in a tight space with limited room to swing the ratchet handle. The size of each socket is nicely stamped on the flat portion of each socket. The extensions are knurled at the center point to help greasy fingers to be able to turn the extensions by hand. I’ve had the ratchet set for about a month now and in my opinion, you won’t find a higher quality or more functional set of half inch drive SAE sockets.
