These sockets are worth every penny! I work in a commercial electric warehouse where I maintain over 15 f150s-f550s and over 10 trailers. These sockets help me when I’m changing out tires or doing a brake jobs on the vehicles/trailers. There is room in the middle of the case to put swivels and extensions and a ratchet. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and I would purchase again in a heartbeat.

Unless you are working with extremely small fasteners or need to access a confined space, these impact rated sockets will exceed your needs every time. The sockets are organized using a Milwaukee PACKOUT compact organizer with a clear top. The Metric/SAE sockets are organized in a red removable tray. The oversized, stamped white ink filled size markings are easy to read at a distance. No more trying to read the small markings on a chrome socket. There is no guessing as to a socket being metric, SAE, or the size. These hex impact sockets have a tight fit when compared to my chrome plated sockets. The six-sided interior socket wall has a radius at each point to prevent contact with the fastener’s corners and improve socket to fastener surface contact. The two holes and indented red colored ring groove allow for quick socket attachment and removal. The matt black finish helps hold the socket securely in your hand when removing or installing the socket. This socket set is great. Sockets are very well made and all common sizes included - no sizes are skipped! The size markings are clearly visible and the white paint is has held up during use. The sockets securely fit over fasteners and do not budge. A short wobble bit, a 3" extension, and a 1/4" to 3/8" adapter is included. Very nifty as I no longer have to dig around for those items. The case is pretty good and it has slots to attach it to other Packout system components. The tray can be removed from the box just by lifting it out. The case is VERY well built with hefty latches and rubber seal around the lid. Highly recommend this set!

This socket set is great. Sockets are very well made and all common sizes included - no sizes are skipped! The size markings are clearly visible and the white paint is holding up alright. They've held up when loosening and tighten extremely tight fasteners on my vehicles either when using my impact, breaker bar, or torque wrench. The case is pretty nifty and it has slots to attach it to other Packout system components. There's a bit of space in the middle of the box that's useful for storing extensions or adapters. Additionally, the trays can be removed from the box, so it can be repurposed or, if the foam insert is removed, smaller items can be stored underneath the trays. The case is VERY well built with hefty latches and rubber seal around the lid. Highly recommend this set!

These sockets and their case are very well made. The case is super durable and has a sturdy, well formed handle. The case can stack and lock onto others but as heavy as these are, that would be tough to carry. The trays that the sockets are in can be taken out of the case and put in the drawers of your rolling toolbox. Save the case for times when you need to travel on a job.

Best organized set of impact sockets that I have ever worked with. The Milwaukee SHOCKWAVE model #49-66-6800 is a 17 pc. set of six-point deep well Impact sockets in 3/8” drive. The sockets are housed in an organizer tray that snaps the sockets in keeping them where you put them and not off rolling around the floor or the drawer of your tool cabinet. The organizer tray (color Red for English and Black for Metric) comes inside a great carry case, Packout #48-22-8436. This carry case is impact resistant, has two latches, and has an IP65-rated weather-resistant gasket in the lid. The carry case lid is clear so you can easily see all the tools within and has a built-in security loop (hole) for a lock or cable. The sockets are deep-welled, six-point with very large size identification making it great for us with bifocals. The sockets have a slight undercut painted red for identification with two detent ball holes, so the sockets stay on your tool. The set contains 14 SAE sockets from ½ to 15/16 and three adapters. There are three additional tools, one 3” extension and then the two I have found to be the most useful. These two are the ¼” hex to 3/8” drive and the universal joint that I call the “wobble” extension. The ¼ drive allows me to use the sockets on my power screwdrivers and not need to carry an additional set of sockets. The universal joint allows me to get at fasteners that are close to immovable objects. The universal gives you approx. 15 deg. of misalignment which is just enough for those tight spaces when your power tool is hitting something. The quality of the sockets, organizer tray and carry case is outstanding, well made, functions flawlessly, and makes life much easier. Tools and organizer tray made in China, Packout case is made in Israel. Recommended.

This socket set is perfect for anyone who doesn’t have a shop with tools close by. This set allows you to grab and go quickly, and when you are working its right there and set up so that you can easily get what you need. The sockets are also mounted pretty solid in their tray, so they won’t fall out easily, even if you accidentally kick them or something similar. The container it comes in is great too. The tray sits on top so you can put your extensions, adapters, wrenches, etc. underneath the tray. And then the whole thing is water tight, durable, and a Packout container allowing you to connect it with your other Packout containers. This is a great addition to my Packout collection.

I really like the Milwaukee packout system and feel like Milwaukee makes great tools as well. This impact set was purchased to keep in my truck and at work for use with an impact driver for small DIY jobs. The size of the case is great for easy storage and goes great with other packout items when I take it home. I like how easy it is to read each sockets size and the red band which makes it obvious it is my socket and not someone else's when I am working around other people. The overall quality seems to be high as everything fits onto 3/8 ratchets and onto the adapter for the driver correctly. The sockets fit their sizes correctly and grip onto fasteners well. I highly recommend this set.

Milwaukee is a great brand and I like their products. I also like the packout system they have because of how well it organizes everything. This 3/8 in set with Metric and SAE deep wells is great for working on small engines and doing other household work. I even used a couple of these on my truck with some recent maintenance and upgrades. I really like the organization and size of the packout box. The ability to lift out the SAE and Metric sections separately from the box is great, the box looks really nice, and it functions exactly as it should. The sockets themselves are sized accurately, go onto my impact correctly, and were able to be used with an impact drill and the provided adapter perfectly. Overall this is a very high quality set and you get what you pay for.

A nice heavy duty impact set. This 3/8 drive set should handle most of your common impacting needs. I like the clearly marked white numbers against the black sockets, makes them easy to identify. Comes with a sturdy hardcase or the trays can be removed and stored in a tool box as well. The sockets are 6 point and come with a nice thick sidewall, so they can take a pounding.

What a great impact socket set which includes both metric and sae sockets. Each socket is clearly marked with the size in white on the black sockets. Sizes are 10 to 24 and 3/8ths to 1-1/8th. The kit comes in a nice case to keep the sockets stored in place. It has a tray for easy removal, two locking hinges and a carrying handle. There is also room under the tray fir additional socket storage.

When working on old cars, I find using an impact wrench and sockets saves a lot of time and skinned knuckles. When I saw this set I knew it would cover all my needs, both SAE sizes from 3/8" to 1 1/8" and Metric from 10mm to 24mm. The size is prominently displayed on each socket. It comes in a durable plastic carrying case, or you can lift out the tray for easier storage in a shallower tool chest drawer.

There are a pair of plastic fitted socket compartments meant to hold the sockets firmly. The metric sockets included go from 6mm to 24mm the SAE sockets run from 1/4" up to 15/16", and include both the 9/32" and 11/32" sockets. In this set is a 1/2" square drive to 3/8" square drive adapter, a 1/4" hex drive to 3/8" square drive adapter, and a 3" extension in 3/8" drive. The center section is left empty and will easily handle extensions up to 10" or 3/8" ratchet wrenches up to that size, along with several other tools you may also wish to carry. If you need to separate either socket set, you'll find both socket sets are fitted to be inserted in the single sized compact low-profile packout organizers. Packout boxes with their clear tops allow to see what you’re carrying or loading at a glance.

These impact sockets are the nicest looking. The easiest to read (large markings and they are recessed so won’t wear off any time soon). The best storage (this packout system pretty much creates a toolbox for sockets; you can open each section even when they are stacked together!). And the fit and finish are excellent. Finally, they cover the most common sizes for light and medium duty repairs (hd vehicle servicing gets into a few higher sizes but not many!) AND NO SKIPS! I have no idea how well they hold up or how easier they are to warranty. These are two areas they must shine to equal or eclipse the tool trucks (especially the other big red ;) ). But I can only grade them based on what I’ve seen so far, and so far they are 5 star all day long. Way to go Milwaukee!!

I got this Very high quailty set impact sockets SAE & Metric, It's complete no missing sizes. You have 3/8" to 1 1/8" by 1/16" increments, Then you have the metric 10mm to 24mm with no missing sizes. Then its in the packout case that holds them in place nothing falling out when you transport them and the lid has a seal to keep out moisture with heavy duty latchs you can stack the cases and lock them togother. they have a heavy duty handle easy to hole and carry. The sockets are all well marked for size and very easy to read with a wall thickness of 1/8" to 5/16" and they fit on the extension or impact with out wabling around. These will last me a life time. Worth every penny just love them .

These are the easiest to use 3/8" Deep Impact Sockets on the market. I have two other sets. The older set is impossible to see the markings without a bright light. I took to labelling them myself. The newer set has silk screened gold markings--still hard to see. Both sets are slippery when my hands get greasy. I was gifted a handful of these Milwaukee Shockwave Impact Sockets a few months ago. You can see them even when they are in the bottom of my typically dark Pneumatic Tool Drawer. I absolutely love the deeply stamped, white ink filled markings. I can read them without my glasses. The other big thing to me is how easy these Milwaukee Shockwave Sockets are to install and remove from the tool's anvil. The red filled "Ring Groove" makes it easy to get a grip on the socket without having to get a rag. Did I mention the super cool Low Profile Packout Case? I would have got the set with or without the case, but the case is really secure and easy to open/close with the oversized hinges and latches. The front is see-thru. The Metric and SAE trays are individually labelled for each socket and are removable. The kit comes with a 3/8" wobbly joint, a 3" impact extension, and a hex socket adapter to use with impact drivers and drills. Absolutely the easiest to see, store and use socket set I've ever had. 5 Stars!

I AM NOW SET ON DEEP WELL SOCKETS AFTER GETTING THESE SAE DEEP WELL SOCKETS FROM HOME DEPOT AND MILWAUKEE I WONT NEED ANYMORE SOCKETS FOR A GOOD WHILE NOW. The Milwaukee SHOCKWAVE Impact-Duty 3/8 in. Drive Metric and SAE Deep Well Impact PACKOUT Socket Set is a repackaging of its previously released sockets to allow integration with its PACKOUT system. For those with wide components of the PACKOUT system, the case locks in easily with the PACKOUT system. Having the PACKOUT system though is not required to use this set since it comes in a sturdy, easy- to- carry case. The recessed lettering with the white coloring allows the socket sizes to stand out. For readability of the socket sizes, this is the best set that I have seen. As others have noted, it might make sense for Milwaukee to use different colors on the socket rings to easily distinguish between SAE and Metric sockets when the size is not facing up. Another thing that I like about this set is that both the SAE and metric trays are removable. It would be rare that I would need both concurrently so it is convenient to just remove the tray of sockets that I need. One reason for acquiring this set that I read erroneously information on one site that it contained a 1 1/16" socket which I needed. It does not; the largest SAE socket is 15/16. It includes an adapter so that it may be used with an impact driver which is what I will be using initially. This adapter also allows these sockets to be used as nut drivers when used with a drill. The set also comes with a 3" extension and a 3/8" universal joint. A plus that many will appreciate is that there are no gaps or missing socket sizes in this set so it should have what you need for most applications. Another plus is that these are deep sockets which provide more versatility which I found out after my set of standard sockets would not work in some situations. Overall, I am quite pleased with the extensive set of sizes and the set’s versatility. The groove at the base of a socket makes it easy to attach or remove if one has greasy or oily hands. I still don’t know why the two holes in the groove make the sockets easier to attach. The organizer is made in Israel; everything else is made in China. The sockets have a lifetime warranty but I have yet to see an impact socket shatter.

My review of the Milwaukee SHOCKWAVE Impact-Duty 3/8 in. Drive SAE Deep Well Impact PACKOUT Socket Set (17-Piece). As with most Milwaukee products these are well constructed . They are clearly marked and if you are into the pack out series these come in a convenient carry case with removable tray. I myself keep my tools in a large chest so the pack out trays will get repurposed. The only qualms I have is that they stuffed a couple odd sizes in the set. These will most likely never get used. So verdict is good set. Maybe don't buy with the pack out. Container if it is not needed. Having quality tools always makes life easier and these fit the bill.

This is a great socket set. Quality sockets with high visibility markings so it's easy to find the ones you need. Includes a short extension. The size range is impressive: from 10 mm to 24 mm on the metric side, and 3/8 inch to 1 1/2 inch on the SAE side. Having that wide a range is helpful as you can use the same ratchet for all the different sizes. Came in handy as I used the 24 mm to remove the crank pulley bolt on my Audi. Fit through the Counter Torque Tool perfectly, and the length of the socket meant I didn't even need an extension. The case is great! It's got a weatherproof seal, and strong clamps to close it. You can remove the trays the sockets sit in and there is room underneath for some tools.

Fourteen sockets ranging from 1/4 inch to 15/16 inch plus three inch extension bar, a universal joint and a nut driver adapter make this versatile seventeen piece socket set good for all kinds of applications and trades. The low profile PACKOUT case with custom socket tray holds each piece firmly and makes selecting, storing and managing inventory a doddle. The sockets attach readily to breaker bars, ratchets, powered ratchets, nut drivers and impact guns with the chamfered drive end engaging smoothly and locking in place. At the other end the hex geometry drives nuts on the flats preventing fastener rounding and improving torque. Socket identification is great with large stamped and white painted numbers.

This will go great with my milwaukee deep impact sockets. There is a socket tray that comes out of the packout box if you don't want keep them in it, then you still have a separate packout box. The socket have the sizes nicely and clearly printed on them.

Although the case takes more space than a rail, I like it better because it is easier to select the desired socket. The recessed lettering and white coloring on a socket really make the size stand out. For readability of socket sizes, this is the best set that I have seen. If when using the set, the entire case is too bulky for your application, the tray is easily removed. I obtained this set because I needed a 1 1/16" socket to remove an anode rod from my water heater. It also allowed me to fill in the many gaps among my current ½" drive sockets. This extensive set of sockets should provide most of the sockets that I may need. It is missing a 23mm socket but I have yet to have a need for that size. The 6-point design is another plus. The biggest drawback of this set is that it is not deep. I can remove the lug nuts on my older vehicle with these shallow sockets but not on my newer vehicle which requires a deep socket. So I would recommend that for the relatively small extra cost that if a person gets only one set that it be a set with DEEP sockets. The groove at the base of a socket makes it easy to attach or remove it if one has greasy or oily hands. I still don’t know why the two holes in the groove make the sockets easier to attach. This is a remarkably designed and manufactured product. Just stunning. The case is part of the Milwaukee ‘Packout’ modular storage system. Such cases can be firmly clipped and locked into each other. A single finger pull ring unlocks the case again if you need to separate them. The lid is transparent and has a very strong looking hinge and two latches that hold it closed firmly. A fold-out handle in nestles in the end so that the case can also be carried about like a suitcase. Inside the case is a firm tray that holds the socket set, and below that tray is additional space for storing other items. I had added my ½” pry bar, a ½” universal joint, as well as a small punch that is handy for releasing sockets from little ball bearing clip that hold the sockets onto various tools. The tray that holds the sockets has the socket size molded into each position. Each recess holds the socket nice and firmly. The tray can be used by itself to hold the socket set (say in a tool drawer) and you could use the case for other tools too. Now, the sockets themselves. Well, I cannot think of any design or manufacturing aspect that could be improved. They are simply stunningly well designed and made. Each socket has the size deeply molded onto two sides, and a bright white ink has been placed into the recessed size indicator. The white contrasts well with the black metal socket producing a clearly visible size indicator even in poor lighting. The sockets are six point. The SAE sizes are from 3/8” every 1/16” up to 1-1/8” (13 sockets) The metric sizes are 10mm through 24mm (14 sockets) There is also a hole right through the socket to receive the detent pin of the driving tool. It also enables the detent pin to be pushed in from the outside when removing the socket from the tool. The sockets are finished off with a nice red ring - not sure if that indicates that they are impact sockets. The sockets meet ASME standards Lifetime guarantee! The case is made in Israel and the sockets and tray are made in China. Highly recommended

It's Milwaukee Shockwave, so, I knew it would certainly meet my high-impact needs, but Milwaukee put together such an awesome set in the included Packout box. The 27 piece, a combination of metric and SAE will more than cover 1/2 inch impact socket needs. I can't honestly think of a socket size I would regularly need that is not already in this set. All sockets are 6-point - for maximum strength and have dual holes as well as a driver ring groove to keep the socket firmly on the driver/ratchet. I like the ink-filled size stamping; you can easily see the socket sizes. They will probably get blackened out with dirt/grease, but they sure are pretty. So far they have wiped clean fairly easily. I found it helps to lightly spray with WD-40 before use and they will clean up a lot easier. The entire assembly of sockets alone is awesome but the Packout organizer is the icing on the cake! The included socket tray holds the sockets firmly in place and completely removes from the Packout box. There is a firm foam spacer that resides below the foam insert. This extra space can be used to store socket adapters and extensions. The Packout box does work with the other Packout storage system. If I were to say there were any cons it would be the difficulty of removing the sockets from the tray with work gloves on. Not really a bad thing, I rather the sockets that stay in place when carrying. The other con would be that this set is heavy. Again, not a bad thing for this robust set, it's just not easy carrying this set with anything more than an impact gun or breaker bar. I would not hesitate recommending this set to anyone!

This may be the pinnacle of deep well impact socket sets. I absolutely love this set and the fact that it’s part of the Packout line makes it even better. My observations: • This is a set of 31 sockets all at 1/2 inch. 15 SAE sockets, 15 metric sockets, and 1 (3”) extension. This kit has all the sizes you would expect for a 1/2 in. set. Keep in mind this is for heavy duty work. • The markings/font for each socket is excellent. The font is huge and bright white which makes identification and organization fast. Even dirty sockets are easy to identify. • The case is high quality (as expected with Packout) and each socket securely snaps into place and stays there. • The sockets have dual holes for easier/quicker attachment. • The trays come out if you want these in a tool chest, which many will find there way there. • The socket themselves are 6 point (non-slip) and engineered to handle high impact/torque usage. • The 3” included extension is appreciated and necessary with many applications. • The sockets have a nice grip which will help when holding them. • I found no quality issues whatsoever with this set. The quality is obvious as soon as you inspect and use these, and I expect decades of usage from these. This is truly an excellent set. I can’t imagine anyone feeling less than fully pleased with this deep well socket set. I firmly recommend.
