Great sockets
For the price, these are excellent sockets, build is good, quality is great. If you’re older and have trouble seeing, the painted stamped sizing is great on the eyes, especially working in low light conditions. I have both 3/8 and 1/4 metric sets and have enjoyed using them. Side note those magnetic style socket holders where the sockets insert a drilled hole, these won’t fit, they are a bit thicker

Beautiful
While working on our race car, it occurred to me just how lacking my tool collection was in 6-pointed sockets. A 12-point one just wanted to strip the bolt head when you applied enough pressure to turn the crank. I wanted some strong ones. I wanted them to be easily identified as to size. I wanted most sizes that would be the ones you'd use a 3/8 drive for. I wanted SAE and Metric. This is it!

They’re incredible. I use them all the time and the deep sockets are great for all-thread. I had to do an annoying job and use 2 of them in wet fire-caulking and they got fire caulk all over them. Most of it came off but now so many of my toolls are kinda nasty sad.

Incredibly sturdy
This socket set is a beast. Each one is a good weight in hand and altogether hold up well. I had the case sitting on the front seat in my truck and the vehicle thought a passenger was present and not wearing a seatbelt! Attaching and detaching the sockets from an impact driver is quick and painless. Besides the well molded inner well to allow for a deep reach, the best feature is the stamped labeling that will hold up to wear so you can always tell what size each one is.

Nice rail for the sockets. Large numbers to see what size you need. 6 point is great for old rusty bolts. I just got done with my son's car, new struts, new backing plate, rotors and pads. I had to pull the rear hubs. The sockets worked great and didn't slip on any of of the hex heads. That made a difference in a job of not becoming a nightmare because of rounded heads on bolts.

This metric set of Milwaukee impact sockets is half inch drive and six point contact with a deep well. For those using a pin detent style impact wrench, these sockets have two holes to simplify attachment. One of the features of this set is the large stamped markings for socket size and the bright white ink used to fill the markings. The sockets are manufactured from forged high torque impact steel for durability and they include a non-slip hex geometry to reduce damage to the socket and rounding of the fastener.
The sockets come in a blow mold style case that has a space for each socket that is labeled with the corresponding socket size. Not only does this make it easy to put sockets back in the correct locations but it also makes it easier to identify a socket to select if they have turned and the socket markings are not visible. The case is designed to nest when stacked which will help with storage.
In my testing, the sockets held well on an impact wrench with friction ring connection. They also fit well on fasteners with no slipping or rounding of the fastener.
Overall this is a great product that I absolutely recommend. My only thoughts or concerns which are minor and do not detract from the value of the product: 1) Once the retail wrap is removed, one has no way to differentiate between different cases of impact sockets from the outside (i.e.: metric vs. standard) as the blow mold case does not have any part numbers, words, etc. on it other than the Milwaukee logo (note: inside there is a sticker identifying each socket size and its corresponding individual part number); 2) Some of the red ink/paint drizzled or dripped onto other areas of the sockets during manufacturing.

SUMMARY: A GOOD LARGER DEEP WELL SOCKET SET FOR THE MONEY
BACKGROUND: I got a smaller Milwaukee Model 49-66-7021 deep well socket set a short time ago, but it didn’t have several sizes I use. The chance to evaluate the larger 49-66-7008 set was too good to pass up.
FIT AND FINISH: Same sturdy construction of my other Milwaukee socket sets.
FEATURES: From the Home Depot page, with my comments as appropriate.
• Kit includes 14 deep metric sockets, the following sizes are included: 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21mm.
o My first set did not include the 11, 12, 16, 18, and 20mm sockets. This does include all but the 20mm, which I have in other sets.
• Boldest, longest-lasting markings and extreme impact durability in high torque applications. The stamped and ink-filled size marking enables users to select the right socket every time throughout the life of the socket.
o The markings are easy to see when new. Time will tell if dirt and grease makes it difficult. Size is only marked on one side. It would be nice if the size was marked around each socket.
• Laser etched part numbers.
o Handy if I ever need to replace one.
• Engineered with high strength forged steel for optimized performance in heavy-duty applications.
o I contacted Milwaukee technical support and asked: “What alloy is used for your impact rated sockets?” They replied: “this would be considered proprietary information, so not appropriate to share.” I find that a disappointing answer as I have been able to get alloy composition from other manufacturers in the past.
• Non-slip hex geometry to prevent socket and fastener rounding.
o The radius relieved corners seem to be a common construction configuration now.
o I did a test of the non-slip feature (see photos) and found that the socket will deform (crease) a lower grade nut to such an extent that a standard socket will be slightly difficult to use. But it didn’t round it over. I believe this is because the radius relieved corners appear to be simple circular sections, leaving an edge between the flats and the reliefs. I seem to recall in years past that at least one other manufacturer had a slight blending between the two surfaces to avoid concentrating the force along an edge. The socket did not appear to suffer any damage.
• Dual-hole design and ring groove allow for easy socket attachment and removal.
o The dual-hole design is slightly harder to remove than the internal recesses in some of my other sockets. But I’d rather have them a little harder to remove than too easy.
• Customizable Socket Rail comes with removeable end caps to add or take off socket clips for optimal storage.
o You can do it, but there isn’t room to add any sockets to the rail.
• Backed by a Lifetime Guarantee.
• Meets ASME industry standards.
o There are tons of standards, but Milwaukee doesn’t say which ones on the package or the product information page.
SUMMARY: Worth the money to complete my metric deep well socket collection.

OPERATION: The sockets slip on and off my ratchets with minimal effort. I ran a nut on a piece of all-thread until I split the 4x4 test piece with no problems. I also tried it removing wheel lug nuts with no issues.
