Milwaukee Shockwave impact duty #2 square drive screw driver bits. Square drive fasteners are becoming more common and for good reason, square drive bits have a better mechanical connection to the fasteners and the better the connection the more fasteners you can drive and the higher your productivity. I like these driver bits because they are designed to stand up to driving literally hundreds of square drive fasteners before failing. The shock adsorbing feature is another thing I like; without it, the hammer drive feature of Milwaukee drivers will cause regular bits to twist apart. I like to be able to put a fastener on the driver bit and it not fall off, if a fastener is not tight enough to stay on the bit while you are lining it up to drive it in, its going to slow you down.

This bits have long torsion shank that takes a lot of shear stress when screw stops. Interestingly that this torsion shank is not a fuse that is sheared off to protect screw head or impact driver. It rather plays role of torsion spring that dampens shear stress to avoid stripping or shearing off screw heads. I need these bits to periodically remove and replace 24 stainless screws. Those screws have large heads and go to hard plastic, so ability to handle shear stress is very important. The bit tip is made from lighter color alloy. Interestingly it's not magnetic (even if it was it wouldn't be matter as stainless still is not magnetic), but due to conic shape it fits very snugly. Stainless screw can be horizontally hanged on the tip (see pics). It fits very snugly as it was manufactured with very tight tolerances. In my experience tips that fit tight last long and don't strip screws.

Milwaukee is one of my favorite brands from decades of experience with their quality. I own several Milwaukee tools as a result. I recently got an impact driver (not Milwaukee - Rigid, but for a good deal) and wanted to get some good drive bits to complete my set. I really like the design of their bits and the different lengths they have to accommodate different situations. These bits are long wearing and well designed ergonomically.

It's hard to do an apples to apples comparison of this bit to lesser branded alternatives, but I'm happy with the apparent high-quality and engineering that sits behind this marketing. What wasn't mentioned was the magnetic nature of the bit (at both the Philips end and the driver end). Very happy to have a magnetic tip to hold the screw while getting into position. These Phillips #2 Impact Duty Bits now happily reside in my tool bag along with my impact driver.

The Milwaukee Shockwave impact duty Phillips #3 driver bits is definitely a step up in driver bits. I go thru driver bits but these are made far more durable than ordinary bits. Taking a closer look at the tip, you can see that the forming of the bit is much more precise and leaves no room when in the slot. You know when you have a loose fitting or worn bit you can easily strip phillip slots. These fit tightly and show no sign of wear after all day use in my impact driver.

I am replacing the plastic wire shelf hangers with stronger metal brackets. The plastic clips are breaking due to age and how muck weight is is on the shelf. I wanted a couple of Phillips head PH1 bits to use to spin in the longer screws I have. I also wanted the longer 3" bits to allow a slight angle on the cordless drill needed when screwing in the metal screws. The Milwaukee SHOCKWAVE 3-1/2 inch Philips #1 (PH1) came is a 2-pack. I liked these features as I have allot of screws to remove and replace on the wire shelving bracket replacement project.

They are made from Alloy Steel and are heat treated to extend bit life. I can honestly sa these are the best screw bits I have ever used. I tested them out on some screws that have been in my deck for 25 years and it took them out without slipping once. Outstanding high quality bits.

They fit perfectly in my Rigid Driver. These say they last 50X longer and have extreme durability. I gave it a test by pulling some old screws out of a deck and these bits did not slip once. I was impressed. I will use on everything now.

These Milwaukee SHOCKWAVE Impact Duty 2 in. Phillips #2 Alloy Steel Screw Driver Bit (2-Pack) are a NO BRAIN ER ! Being a retired plumber with 30 plus years, the name Milwaukee says it ALL ! They are the Gold standard of the construction industry. Every tool I've purchase has lasted for many many years. About 3 years ago I was prepping my sub-floor for laminate flooring, and had the screw down my floor to eliminate squeaks. I had to screw through 3/4 plywood over 3/4 boards with 2 1/2 screws over 2000 screws. Then my brother - laws house as well and the same bit showed no wear. I wouldn't expect anything but the best from Milwaukee. The key to long life is to remember steady pressure, and let the tool do the work!

I ordered the #1 and #2 sizes to have on hand for all my Phillips screw driving needs. I definitely recommend this Milwaukee product.

This strong alloy steel bit is probably the only Phillips bit you will need. I ordered the #2 and #1 bits to have on hand as I am continually loosing my bits and the ones I have are rusty. This bit fits into my cordless drill securely and holds a deck screw very nicely. I definitely do recommend this Milwaukee product.

Solid bits. I was blowing through the yellow and black brand of #2 bits building my deck. Rather than going out and buying a whole new set I decided just to get this pack and it didn't let me down. Strong, durable and didn't strip the screws. I did 3x more screws with these bits than I did with the other . The longer extensions made it easier to drive the screws into the board rather than adding an extension adapter. Solid .

These are extremely brittle, broke driving a sheetrock screw into wood, 2nd screw driven.

One of the photos of this item at the top of this page shows the wrong product. As I see it on my desktop screen, the bottom photo is of a driver bit in a hand drill but, it's showing one of the short driver bits, not the 6" long one this page is advertising.

I would strongly suggest that you buy someone else's brand of impact bits. I bought a 3/8 impact driver about a year ago. I also purchased two sets Milwaukee impact bits. I have had 5 of their PH2 bits snap when I was trying to remove frozen screws. 3 of them snapped within less than 2 seconds. I am road tech and I work on commercial floor cleaning machines. Yesterday i was on site and trying to remove frozen screws from a machine. Two bits that I used snapped literally in less than 2 seconds. One was brand new, never used. I had to take the unit back to the shop. I found an older Craftsman bit that wasn't even rated for impact. I still couldn't get the screws out but it never broke and I used it for a few minutes. I like the impact gun but I will likely never use Milwaukee bits again. I included a picture of one of the bits I used yesterday.

Broke on the 20th screw. I have using Makita, Bosch and Dewalt with much more sucess.

I expected more from these. The first broke on the second screw. The other two started camming out almost immediately. What happened to the old Milwaukee quality?

I've had 1 T20 bit snap and 1 more that's already twisted. This is using m18 drill with clutch on 8. I pre drill all my holes (plywood to 2xS spruce or pine)... I'm trying out some Dewalt bits now to see if they will hold up better.

This set will last a lifetime. Project farm sold me on this with his yt video comparing the different Philips #2 on the market. Well made and plenty of variety, enough bits to cover pretty much everything out there. Could use a few more flat heads though.
