These are advertised as being "stainless steel", but after just one use and a bit of rain they rusted like crazy! I had to wait months for these to come in as they were out of stock. So, whatever company Nexgrill hired to produce these aftermarket items needs to be brought to task. True "stainless steel" DOES NOT RUST! That's the reason I bought these. I like to make pizza on the grill and figured these would never rust. I'm very disappointed. I feel this amounts to false advertising.

Hello TCsNicNac, Robert from Nexgrill here. I am sorry the plates began to show corrosion. It is not recommended that you leave them out in the rain as it is an myth that stainless steel will not corrode. Stainless steel is corrosion resistant but not corrosion proof. With that being said I would like to take a look at the plates to see the condition they are in to see and see about options I can offer you. The grill works well. However, it becomes dirty to easily by scoring and burn marks. It’s hard to clean it without heavy gloves to prevent burn injuries as the instructions say to clean it while it’s still hot.

Original parts rusted out after about 15 months (with grill always covered when not in use). Ordered replacement parts from HD and the new ones are completely rusted after 2 uses. Worst than original parts. The quality of this grill is subpar.
