Good PVC glue
I have had great luck with this stuff. It goes on PVC nicely without making a mess. There is an applicator inside built into the cap to make this an easy to use product. It doesn't smell terribly bad and it is LoVOC. I've been using this for over 3 years with nothing to dislike about the product. It does meet my expectations. Please hit the thumbs up button if you find this helpful.

Oatey makes many products, this particular Cement can be used on any PVC and if its white works best so you dont see the gray on white should the glue squeeze out of the onions. Plumbers will first cut and clean their edges then fit everything up from one end to the other. Once everything is fitted up and their satisfied they then remove one piece at a time and cement them together working back from one end to the other... This keeps everything lined up and eliminates any chances of errors from occurring. The Oatey Cement is a very fast bonding cement. And does so in just a few seconds. Once the two pieces bond there is no taking it apart. That is without cutting and replacing parts..

Oatey heavy duty clear solvent cement is especially formulated to bond up to 12 inch PVC pipe and other applications. It is approved for potable water, pressure pipe, conduit and DWV. The thick formula fills gaps in large diameter pipe and loose fitting joints. It can be pressure tested up to 180 pounds. It must be applied at temperatures 40 degrees F and higher. I seldom solvent glue PVC pipe over 4 inches in diameter but have found this product to be useful in other applications. I recently installed an Oatey shower liner in a large walk-in shower. I had to build some liner pockets and I like to cement them together and in place. It is hard to properly use PVC solvent to glue liner sheets. I test cemented some liner scraps together to test this product on the liner sheet before actually applying it. It was impossible to get them apart and it formed a perfect seal. I recommend this product for tough PVC work.

OATEY 32 OZ. PVC HEAVY-DUTY CEMENT : This is the only cement I will use when installing pvc or cpvc pipe of any kind ! I also use the Oatey primer when required along with the Oatey Cement. This cement is really easy to apply thanks to the built on applicator. This Oatey Cement is very strong and lasts a very long time as well. I used Oatey cement and primer when I totally redone my bathroom, and I will continue to use it ! The pictures I included for this was for a project I was doing for decorating a cemetery headstone. As you can see, it is made with 1/2 in. cpvc pipe, and will hold flowers on each end, it looks really nice at the cemetery for decorating. You have to measure the headstone your going to put this on, and cut everything to fit. Then prime and cement your cpvc together using Oatey primer and cement, it works great !

High quality PVC clear cement can be used on electrical or water PVC with the exception of water PVC lines that are used for drinking or bathing water where blue cement is to be used. The glue works well on PVC connections both above and below the ground such as sprinkler systems and electrical conduit that is buried. I have used to repair both sprinkler piping and to add electrical boxes in my garage. Recommend this product. I will note one thing though for the casual user purchase the smaller cans as this glue will go bad over time.

I have used Oatey PVC and ABS glue products for many years. They are always reliable in getting an excellent bond at joints. I try to keep the can in a warm location in the winter, because to glue tends to get gummy after it gets cold and has been sitting too long. The product comes with a brush attached to the inside of the cap so it is ready to get to work on your PVC project. I wish I had this 2 years ago when I had to install an entire yard irrigation project.

Oatey's heavy duty clear PVC cement is one of those basic products you just use over and over through the years. It is consistent, dependable, and works as you would hope. I would just never buy another brand with its track record of 100% success of zero leaks over many decades. If you have more than one or two connections to make, then get this larger size. For my apartment work, it's been mainly waste and drain pipes that required my attention. There is a companion purple primer product, but given I was always connecting to existing work I prefer their Cleaner product, model 307953, sold also by Home Depot. That would clean anything and everything off PVC pipe which was installed decades ago. That cleaner plus this cement was my winning combination for drain and waste pipes. For pressurized work, I'd use the primer. If you haven't used this product, the video is excellent. If you don't have the dedicated end trimmer, then a piece of moderate sandpaper will clean up the ends to remove any burrs and bumps. Bad ends with excess cutting debris are the reason you can't fit the pieces together well and/or leak. Cut, prep the ends for a nice smooth fit, clean, and cement: That's it.

I have been using OATEY products for over 20 years and they always perform flawlessly. This Heavy-Duty PVC Cement has a thicker body than the medium or regular cement which means it holds without dripping when making PVC joints and the applicator fits perfectly inside a 3/4 inch fitting which means good coverage when fitting the pipes into the fittings. I prefer the clear color so that it doesn't show that blue stain when working in areas where the PVC is exposed. It also seems to have a few seconds more working time allowing for better connections. Typically, I will use OATEY cleaner then primer than cement but for new pipe, it looks like this Heavy-Duty cement will make a good joint without the other components. Another thing I like is that it has low odor or fumes and it is MADE IN THE USA.

I've been using Oatey cements for a long time and I've never been disappointed in its performance. These days there are a lot more uses for PVC pipe and fittings around the home. I use a good bit around our above ground swimming pool. This "clear" heavy duty cement is perfect for my use because my mistakes don't show up. Also, what makes it heavy duty is the melting or softening of the PVC surfaces to allow the strongest bond. The 32 ounce size assures me that I have enough for many projects. And of course, the in lid applicator is a great plus. I would recommend it to anyone and will continue to use it for my own projects.

This 32 ounce can of Oatey heavy duty clear PVC cement is to be used on piping up to 12” pressurized, and 18” non-pressurized, and applied at a temperature between 40-110 degrees Fahrenheit. So far I’ve used it to join only non-pressurized PVC pipes, for a washing machine drain line, and some piping for a downspout runoff. In both cases it’s worked very well, forming a solid bond with no leaking whatsoever. I would definitely buy this product again.

I have used Oatey PVC Heavy-Duty Cement in the small can size for years. This is a super large 32 oz. can that will last for years for a pro or for do it yourself people like me that does small jobs. I have used it for traditional plumbing and for large drainage systems. I have never had a leak or a joint come undone. This is the economy size of a heavy-duty PVC cement.

The glue its self is good. But what I was using it for did not work. I glued 2 18x28 pvc boards for a sign together. They separated as I was cutting letters from the wo ply material I glued. I am trying PVC TrimWelder White Hot 10.3 oz Cartridge, Bright White with UV Protectant, Thick Solvent-Based Adhesive for Joining PVC to Itself, Compatible with a Standard Caulking Gun
