Works well to fight sludge in heating oil

Stuff works! Home Depot recommended this product when I had jelled tank and lines and no heat. This product did the trick! Since then I put 2 in my tank before every tank fill.

Product did what it said. no more sludge. did not freeze up in the cold. no issues.

Treatment works fine, however I needed 2 and one was available, Web site indicated there were 12. Made 3 trips from 29mi away. Staff indicated this happens a lot. Nice!

Easy to use. No issues. Seems to help keep older oil tank free of moisture.

Good stuff. Using for years. Keeps burner from clogging if you run your tank too low. Without treatment sludge will always accumulate over time, this is great to combat that.

cleans out all the sludge in tank .my oil filter looks as good as when I put it year after year now. I change filter once a year.

helps to keep 62 year old in-ground oil tank build-up of sludge down.

Basically just mineral spirits. So probably just will be buying that from now on. Works well though.

For old or new tanks, this helps greatly to keep the whole system clean. I use along with tank energizer year round to keep down water and impurities that can reduce the efficiency of my system.

After treating 2 tanks of fuel the fuel filters were a lot cleaner when removed for replacement. My tank is 550 gallons so I only need 1/2 bottle, but for $10 I just put the whole bottle in.

Since I started using Oatley sludge treatment my filters have been free of sludge when changed.

This item requires more than one application & takes time, maybe several months before results are realized!

Difficult to find in stores. Would not fill oil tank without it!

I had used Sludge Treat for many years. It keeps the strainer on the oil burner pump clean instead of clogged with sludge.

I have been using this for several years now and the filters have been clean when the furnace is serviced. They previously came out covered in thick black tar like substance. I would go so far as to say that the filters almost look like they are new. We have not had any problems with filter or the nozzle clogging. This year we are stretching the service a year to see if it makes a difference in the condition of the filter. We have a 275 gallon tank and use half a bottle (about 16 oz) every time the tank is filled (basically twice a year). The price has gone up recently, but Home Depot still has the best price. It does appear to be a seasonal item and you only seem to be able to get it in the fall. If you miss that window you will probably have to buy it somewhere else or wait until next season. I bought more this year and will continue to purchase it as a normal oil furnace and oil tank maintenance item.
