Good priced fiel additive.

Found out about this treatment from my neighbor, have used it for one year so far and the last time I changed the fuel filter the sludge was reduced by 2/3 so it works, they say 16 ounces per 275 tank I use the whole container of 32 ounces per tank , works great and Home Depot has the best price .

great product. I use this and 3-5 gals of kerosene every fillup. I service my own equipment and the filters changed yearly are still white, and literally spotless. The kero acts like a fuel injector cleaner and keeps the entire system clean. It also burns a bit hotter improving efficiency.

I guess it does it’s job I haven’t had a block in my burner for over two years now using this product so I take it it works

Best product at right price

This product had helped me keep my furnace running smoothly. I have a 40 year old tank inside my finished basement, By using this , it broke down the sludge and I was able to get my furnace running clean again. I highly recomend this product

hard to tell how it works until I see if the fuel oil gums up any over the upcoming winter

Excellent product.

Seems to work good. Using it to prevent any oil sludge buildup. Wished it came in a bottle for a 275 gallon treatment. Being lazy.

I do not write too many reviews. However, I wanted to rate this product. While my general view of items such as this (additives for fuels that claim to work wonders) is that they are gimmicks, I feel important to relate my experience with it. I have an older underground oil tank that seems to have some accumulated sludge. Every time I get an oil delivery my burner would get fouled up afterwards due to the sludge getting swished around. I would have to turn the burner off right before deliveries, wait an hour or so to get the sludge to settle back at the top, then turn boiler back on. Got to the point where it still would foul up. I bought a bunch of these. Started with 2 at first filling. Then, put one in before each subsequent fill up. Over the course 2-3 years I notice the boiler run smoother & have only had one or two times it fouled up & stopped but, that was quite a while ago. So, seems to be helping.

Have been using this to treat sludge and water for some time and it works very well. Keeps the sludge in suspension so it comes out in the filter instead of settling in the bottom of the tank. Helps the water to emulsify and keeps it from settling and freezing. Not for anti gelling.

I use this in a standing, exposed to the sunlight and cold, heating oil tank, which has a buried, 8-12" deep, fuel line running forty feet to the house. I use this on the recommendation of the heating oil company, to avoid the oil's thickening, during prolonged bouts of cold (10F and below).

I have been using Hercules Fuel Oil sludge treat for about 7 years, buying it from my local Plumbing Supply dealer. I pour it into the tank fill pipe at every fuel delivery, just before the fuel is pumped in, to mix it in well with the fuel oil. It works as advertised: cleaned out the sludge and maintains the cleanliness. I can see it works when I change the fuel filter annually - the inside of the filter housing is clean as a whistle. Recently noticed Home Depot carried it at a significantly lower price than I had been paying, I purchased 6 quarts. Have not used any from this order yet, but the bottle is exactly the same as what I have, and I am confident it is the same product and will work the same way.

I have used the treatment for years, ever since we received a dump of dirty oil. It has prevented filter clogging and has cleaned the tank over time. It is, however, overpriced.

Good Product for breaking down sludge in home heating oil.Has helped reduce number of filter changes.

The fuel oil sludge treatment showed me proof that it does what it is intended to do. I witnessed it first hand when my oil burner serviceman showed me the contents in the filter after the treatment had been applied for spell. The gunk in the oil tank had been softened and and had been captured in the filter. I'm relieved that problem is now history and my worries are a thing of the past.

Been using one quart once a year in my tank as an annual maintance treatment.

would have given 5 stars however when opening the cap found the seal had be broken and some of the fluid was missing

Put a bottle in every fall. Guy who cleans my stoker said that your fuel lines are always clean.

It gets water out of the tank, and that's a good thing.
