We put it on our pool deck surface and it holds up well. My only complaint is it’s over price and sold as 3 gallons, when it’s really only two point something gallons.

Done all aspects as said to do before applying such as cleaning all wood very good let wood dry out couple weeks applying to Coates after painting deck not had rain 35 days so I was hoping product does its part we really love texture.

Inaccurate color
Be aware that when you are ordering this product online, the colors pictured are not what you are going to get. I ordered smoky suede. It is pictured as darker brown online. It is a light taupe in real life. Home depot needs to list with more accurate pictures.

Needed something to cover badly cracked deck wood floor. The wood is structurally good byut has a lot of cracks. This product did a pretty good job of filling in the smaller cracks. I would not recommend it for railing because it does dry with a bumpy rough finish.
Be warned that the mahogany was difficult to get in the 3 and 5 gallon sizes. Also, the 5 gallon size was higher per gallon than an individual gallon. Delivery was longer than expected.

I read alot of reviews saying color was off. If people are so picky about color get it without color and add whatever color u want to it. It worked good for me.

This is my 4th purchase of this color and I did touch up with it, only to find it was a different shade. Now I had to order yet another one, so I can paint the entire interior of the deck over again which is a waste of my time and money.
