Spring Snow Crabapple
this was a great little tree. It came packaged nicely and included clear instructions on how to plant. Can’t wait to see it in Spring

    It has fruit!!😡
After having this tree for two years, this year it now has crab apples on it. A lot!!! The first year it was just developing and barely had any flowers. The tree was supposed to be non-fruiting . Very disappointed.

Bought this back in April, followed the direction for potting. It has been 5 months, have not seen any growth at all. Do not Buy! I should have gone to a real nursery to pick one out instead. Major regret.

For the price this was a great little tree. It came packaged nicely and included clear instructions on how to plant. If you have the patience to buy a smaller dormant tree it’s worth it! Both trees were about 3 feet tall and both had a small amount of leaves upon delivery. We bought 2 and will buy more in the future! We look forward to watching them grow.

First off the tree arrived packed in good condition with the root-ball wrapped in burlap. However, there were no planting instructions or information as to the tree itself. How big will it grow? Is it ornamental? Can it be planted close to the house? That information would be helpful. The tips were cut smooth so I don't know how many branches this will have either. That being said, I planted the tree and it finally started to bloom about a month later. I don't know if all the rain we have been having and no sun caused it to take so long or what..Only time will tell how it works out and will update this review in a few months..

I received several trees from Online Orchards and they all arrived well packaged and in good shape. Since it’s still winter in Michigan I’ve been storing them in my garage and keeping the roots damp for 2 weeks so I can delay planting. The roots are packed in hay and wrapped in burlap. So far they still look great and are even starting to bud a little. I’m so excited to get these trees planted and watch the flowers grow!

Online Orchards Spring Snow Flowering Crabapple Tree Bare Root The tree was shipped in a well packaged box and arrived in very good condition. I could see some of the leaves coming out :) It is not yet spring time up here so I have not been able to plant it in the ground just yet. So watering it once a while while it stays put in a makeshift home - a pot. Can’t wait for ground to warm up a bit so I can get it in there. Hope this survives and grows :)

A year ago, I lost a 60 year old birch tree in my front yard; it had provided generations of cool shade, and a home to an array of local bird species. I loved that old tree... but there was one thing about that birch I didn't like -- its sheer size. I'd always felt like this tree was way out of scale, dwarfing my ranch style home and a relatively small front lawn. So I started looking for what many now call a "front tree" -- that is, a smaller-scale tree that better complements the street view of your home. I wanted a tree that was more manageable, something I could prune once a year to control its growth, and preferably a tree of a flowering variety that attracted birds, butterflies, and pollinating honeybees. This Online Orchards Spring Snow flowering crabapple meets every one of those criteria. It's a crabapple tree that features an abundance of beautiful, fragrant blossoms (perfect for attracting those bees and butterflies) but absolutely no crabapples-- which means I don't have the autumn mess of fallen fruit that I have with my backyard crabapple. I was very impressed with the "bare root" tree that arrived -- it was a good 40+'" in height, with a host of established branches, buds and a well-developed root system packed with straw in a burlap wrap. Online Orchards has a set of clear, concise prepping and planting directions on this page you can open & download, and I followed their directions to a tee. The whole process took less time than what it took for me to pick a location. It's a pretty little sapling-- I can't wait for it to start to grow in our upper Midwest warm, wet spring. Highly recommend the Spring Snow from Online Orchards.

I ordered 4 different trees from Online Orchards. They were shipped quickly and safely. Wrapped in hay and inside burlap that was still moist. They were all alive and 3 of the 4 were budding. I put them in pots in my garage until after the least freeze. The Spring Show was one of the tallest of my 4 at about 40" from the top of the root ball. It has a lot of branches and shows signs of budding/ new growth. It looks healthy and alive. I'm happy with it and hope it works well.

This is my first experience with dwarf trees. I can tell you that the delivery came well packaged except for the fact it was not labeled "Live Plant" and because I was expecting something else I did not open it immediately. However, it did not seem to cause any harm to the tree. While I have purchased the pot for the "Online Orchards Spring Snow Flowering Crabapple Tree Bare Root" I have not planted it yet. But the review was requested ASAP so here it is. It arrived alive and it is my hope it will grow and flourish.

This tree arrived on February 22nd very well packaged and it looks like it is very healthy. I was sort of surprised at the height of the tree as it is almost five feet tall and full of buds (I don't know if you can see the buds in the attached photos or not). Due to the weather here in northern Illinois it is impossible to plant the tree outside at this time as the ground is frozen solid. Fortunately, I have several very large pots and I put the tree in a pot for now until I can move it outside. The orchard was good enough to enclose detailed instructions for planting and taking care of the tree. Their paperwork states that this tree will produce "beautiful and aromatic white flowers" - I can't wait for the ground to thaw out so I can plant the tree outside and, hopefully, have lots of flowers. I'm very curious to see what will happpen in the coming months.

The tree arrived very well packaged and appears to be very healthy...but there was no enclosed planting instructions. I went on-line to their web page and found what I needed. We are having a rather warm winter so when the tree started budding during storage in our garage (info on-line said the tree could be stored up to a month at roughly 45deg), I went ahead and planted it, even though we have subsequently had nights that dipped down to the freezing mark: I covered the tree, just in case, though a comment on the web page suggested it could handle freezing temps. Looking forward to a beautiful tree in a few years.

The Online Orchards Spring Snow Flowering Crabapple Tree Bare Root arrived in excellent condition. This is my first experience dealing with a bare root. I was impressed with the height of the tree upon arrival, expecting a small 12-inch cuttings. Mine was around 42 inches tall with lots of branching limbs. The directions to proper planting technique can be found on Home Depot site for this item under Use and Care information on this items page. The limbs are green and leaf bulbs are visible indicate a live plant to me. From the information provided this is going to be a huge tree at maturity reaching 50 feet high and 15 feet wide. I will need to plan a large area away from any structure for this tree to reach its full protentional growth. This plant will be a fragrant tree with white blooms that produces beautiful spring time color that attract both bees and butterfly's.

I've ordered three of these trees this year. The first was the wrong tree. I contacted the company and got no response. The second tree might be correct, but still hasn't bloomed so I can't be sure. The third appears to be DOA, having arrived with multiple broken limbs and has now been planted for about two months with no signs of life. I'm giving two stars based on the one (possibly) correct tree. If the third comes to life, maybe I can identify it before winter...

            Dead on arrival
Planted last fall - protected and pampered - gave it my best shot but it has not gotten past "stick in the ground". Shows no signs of life and the bark has pealed off half of the stem 3"-5" inches above the ground. Sorry - not going to bother with a photo.

Doesn't have much of a root system, time will tell if it makes it or not.

Instructions said there should be some straw in the package to use in planting - there was no straw. I can't say how satisfied I am until next spring because so far it is just a stick in the ground and came with VERY LITTLE root. I'm praying for it.

The tree is not blooming flowers... I image it will in the spring, but it is healthy and growing green leaves.

The tree arrived as expected, and we had our doubts about it actually producing leaves today it has many green leaves and appears to be doing quite well We will see how this delta sweltering heat affects it Hope it will continue to flourish.

I was not pleased with my bare root snow spring crabapple. Planted on March 31st 2023 and no growth as of yet. It came as one single stick with no branches.
