The Yard Enforcer is built to power your sensor/sprinkler for 7500 activation cycles per each set of four AA batteries, which (if we assume complete battery replacement just once per year) works out to over 20 different instances of sprinkler activation every day. I bought 3 of these. 2 of 3 worked flawlessly....
I bought 3 of these. 2 of 3 worked flawlessly. The other has a sensor issue which I have been unable to resolve. Called customer service and a new sensor is on the way. I still gave these an excellent rating in leau of same. They are amazing and fun to watch. They do keep the deer herd out of yard!

We have outdoor cats in the neighborhood that choose our pine straw beds for their bathroom constantly. Neighbors refused to obey covenants and keep them on their property, so after trying Rosemary, citrus peels, mothballs....nothing deterred them. The Orbit is working! Will order more!

This thing is great for keeping four legged pests away from areas you don't want them in. We live near the lake and both work full time, nobody had the time or energy to put out smelly sprays, re applying when it rains. It does take 2 AA batteries. I don't know how long they last, but I should remember to check them enough this summer that animals will just assume its working and stay away.

after attempting adjustment. Secondly............the motion detector did not pick up motion in front of the unit. Only to the side.
