Great tool, was perfect floor installation the bar is good quality and the tapping block was perfect!

both tools broke soon after starting.the gray plastic piece broke and the silver metal bar bent straight. total waste of money. went to local home depot store and bought same kind of tools but great quality.will never buy home depot products online

This is a MUST have if you are doing a laminate flooring! Made the job so much easier! EXCELLENT product!

Block chips easily and the spacers are wedge shaped and fall under drywall.

This tool kits did really great to help install my floor.

The tool works great

The tapping block is great. The pull bar is too weak and the part that you hit with your hammer bent which made it possible for the metal to come into direct contact withe the floor which damaged one tile.

The plastic block for tapping the floor together has a couple holes which create weak points that crack thus rendering the tool useless. The tool fell apart after 1/2 hour of use so I went to Lowes and purchased a better quality tool and finished my floor

The taping block cracked and split the piece in half due to the slot cut into it to allow use of a knife. The stacked spacing blocks didnt measure up to the required 3/8 inch for my pergo flooring. The pry bar was ok but the floor was only protected by 3 felt pieces glued to the bottom of the bar

The metal had sharp imperfections that chipped away the edges of the floors.

Very easy to install and it kooks amZing.

The plastic block isn’t as sturdy as it could have been. Even using a rubber mallet, the edge cracked.

Tapping block broke after 3 hammers, shims are a joke - only thing worthwhile in this kit is the edge metal bar - DON'T BOTHER with the kit! Make your own shims that don't slip around and under the floor like these do and find a better tapping block.

The block broke on one side within the first the first 20m. Disappointing to say the least. However I was able to finish the project.

If we would not have bought this kit, it would have been very hard to put in the floor. Anyone out there putting in a floor you should spend the extra few bucks and get this kit. It helped us so much with getting the tight fit.

This kit includes 3 key components for installing laminate flooring. There's good, okay, and bad news all within the same box. The spacers are okay, they're chunks of plastic so there's not much to expect from them. They have mass and density and keep your planks off the wall while installing - end of story. The pull bar is the bad news here. The metal is too thin and the entire bar is too narrow. The pounding end bent under the force of my mallet while sliding pieces in from the wall. Eventually the angle of the bend was too extreme for the pounding force to be of any use in sliding a plank. The metal had actually bent far enough that while the pull bar is lying on the floor resting on the sliding pads, that the bend itself was touching the flooring. I suggest buying the heavy duty pull bar on offer from HD for that function. That one hasn't bent or failed me yet. The good news in the kit is the tapping block. Another chunk of plastic to be sure, but it's a solid piece with good heft and density. I've checked out the meager selection in the HD store and this one is better than those by far. It doesn't bend, or mar your flooring under the force of the mallet, and is designed to be used in multiple orientations in case you need to tap in short lengths you had to rip down, or if you're up against a wall and the full length of the block doesn't fit. Overall, 2/3 of this kit is a keeper. I haven't priced a decent tapping block and spacers to see if this is a better value than buying those parts separately, but I'd definitely factor in buying a real pull bar as the one that comes in this kit won't get you very far on your install.
