I have a trash can by my backyard door and flies have been getting inside like crazy. I just discovered this product and love that not only did I need some illumination to throw away my garbage, but it doubles as a bug zapper. This is exactly what I needed. Having said, it could have been brighter but the one I had before was so dim I could barely see my trash can so I’m not complaining. Love this product. It also has a tray that pulls out where bugs collect and a brush to clean that tray. 9/10

I find this to be very useful out on the deck.

I bought two of these.. one bug light shines blue.. the other one has a pinkish color to it, never turns blue. I don't know if it's the wattage that goes into the light fixture or what, but the one burning blue seems to attract more flying pests. is the one NOT glowing blue going to overheat my circuit and start a fire? I'm seriously worried about that.

Bought this to catch small gnats, mosquitos and fruit flies. It is right next to the couch where the bugs bother us. It has caught maybe one fly in the week we have had it, after being on 24 hours a day. It is well made. White LED (switchable) is useful

I doubled up by placing a fly glue strip next to each bug zapper as to “widen the net” to catch as many flies as possible in the shortest amount of time. The glue strip caught the flies that hadn’t yet flew into the zapper. However, the bug zapper worked great all on its own! Only use UV light.

Now how good is it comparing to dedicated bug lights is the point, I had this running 247 in my garage for the past 2 weeks and it clearly did it's job. My guess is if you have a small enclosed room / shed, this unit work great.

After a couple days of having just the zapper on it doesnt seem to be helping with the mosquitos, flies, or moths. I checked the tray today to see if it needed to be cleaned and 4/9 of the bugs in there jumped up and flew off. Im also not sure the UV light is bright enough to attract them much as there are still a lot of flies and mosquitos around my patio. I will update if it gets better in the next week or so, but for now I wouldnt buy it again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was extremely happy to receive this Pic bug killer and LED light! I know EXACTLY where I am going to place this! Outside my house I have two motion director lights. Big toads hang out on there waiting for bugs. I am hoping to get rid of both when there are no more bugs for the toads to catch. 1 really like this product, would definitely purchase again, and will recommend to my family and friends!

Living in the deep South, we get mosquitoes, and living near horse ranches, there are flies. So, any new products I come across for this use, I try. This was simple to install, uses your existing ligjt socket and switch. You're able to use the blue insect light with or without the regular light. There was even a little brush to help clean out the little bug tray when full. Nice!

So of course we need these kind of insect killers especially now with all the bugs starting to come out. My house has built in light fixtures so it was a little hard to test it out at first. Once we were able to get it in one of the fixtures, the next day my husband checked it and sure enough there was bugs! It eased my mind knowing it works! The actual light it gives off is a good amount not to bright, but just right.

So, when I saw PIC Pest Free Living Insect Killer which is a Dual Purpose Bug Zapper and LED Light I had to try it. I live in Louisiana, Mosquito heaven and certain times of the year Flies are a problem. This product looks like a big light bulb with a few tricks. Of Course, it kills mosquitoes and other flying insects on contact in a 855 sq. ft. area but without the loud zapping noise. This is a bug zapper with LED and blue UV light using a 2000 volt electric zapper grid with 195 Lumens meaning its a cool soft lighting. Oh, it fits standard medium sockets (E26) so it will fit your outside light bulb sockets. Now, this is a cool feature you can choose to use the blue light (UV) or the white LED with UV light controlled by your light switch. You simple flip your outdoor light switch and the White LED light come on and you barely see the blue light around the grid.In order to turn off the White light and have just the Blue Uv light on you flip the light switch off for 30 seconds and when you flip it back only the blue light is on. SO, those bugs have to go somewhere when they are killed. This product has a pull out catching tray near the base of the bulb and using the included brush makes cleaning it simple. Overall it kind of works but I don't see bugs swarming towards it like they do to the more powerful lights.

so hot these days but can't enjoy the cool evenings in my backyard due to mosquitoes so I decided to try this out. The next morning the tray was empty and for 1 whole week there was 1 zapped mosquito. 3 wks into I probably had 5 insects zapped. I would not recommend this unless u want to admire a blue glowing light in your bkyrd.

Works well for me. My friend gave this exact light bulb and it lasted a few years. After a few years it is started to burn out. I never cleaned it till today. I had to shake our the dead bugs. Since I had good experience, I plan to buy another. The only thing I dont understand about this bulb it has what appears to be a pull out tray but it doesn't open.

works great for mosquitoes and stink bugs. works better without the led white light on to attract more bugs. liked it so much I got another one for the back patio light as well.

I got this when my Stinger Zapper died, it is oversized in length and diameter, you may have trouble fitting it into a standard porch fixture unless you remove the glass. It's rather bottom-heavy and be sure the socket is tight because too much movement seems like it would damage the socket. It works Ok, didn't get a lot of bugs after 12 hours at night in a shed with the door open,the LED light is bright and the LED, UV or both works. The ribs are about 1/4 inch and too big for moths perhaps. I just got little ones and not as many as my larger zapper. OK for price in a pinch

I keep the bug-zapper on (blue haze) and it seems to attract more bugs having the light portion off. This also keeps my electricity bill low as I have motion detection light outside. I liked it so much I got one for the kitchen ambiance (to set the mood) and get any mosquitoes that might of come in.

This light bulb it doesn’t deliver what it promised. It only lights up. It doesn’t buzz any bugs.

It works great - I already have one on my front porch so I went back to Home Depot and got one for the back porch. I really like that you can have the zapper feature on during the day w/o turning on the light - I use both features at nite. It is also easy to clean the dead bugs out.

Don't waste your money . I ordered 4 of these online , had my husband pick them up after work . One of them was already used and it was tapped back in the original package, very annoying to have to go back to the store because the employee that packed my order didn't bother checking all items . Anyways I used the other 3 lights but we still get mosquitoes coming inside our home and bitting us !!!!!

I can not believe how well this works. I didn't think it was actually working since I didn't hear it like a big outside bug zapper. This is Silent and Deadly with No Dangerous Chemicals to Harm Family or Pets! I took it down after about three weeks and was truly gobsmacked to find it had not only killed common houseflies but a few other flying bugs I did know were here. Also this comes with a small brush to clean it out which is a breeze at under two minutes. Try this simple and safe device and you will be surprised also. Read The Instructions Before Using! I am buying a few more now. Great work PIC really great work!!!

worked fine for about 4-5 months then the led's died, just barely emitting light. id have given this a much better review had I reviewed it last month....the light was nice and soft, the bug zapper works somewhat keeping small files and moths from the back door. but unfortunately, it has become useless and im hoping the Home Depot will give me store credit for a return......

Bought this on August 20th 2017 here we are January 20th 2018 and the white LED bulb portion is not burnt out but is 95% less bight. Before this thing was really bright. Now its so dim you cant see the key slot on the door nob. I really dont know how else to describe it. Its like when new it was as bright as day. Now its as dark as if no light was on.

Although the blacklight did attract bugs. The white light stopped working less than three weeks after purchase. I highly recommend staying away from this product.
